Happy New Year Kim! The actress you were trying to identify was Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives. This episode is basically a rip-off of the movie "The Thing" but it was still a great episode. This is one of the most scientifically plausible plots.

Kim screamed when I read this to her because she didnt know the name of that actress but she says that she was so great on Desperate Housewives. And she loves The Thing so she was so happy that it went that route. Happy New Year to you too and the best for 2021!!
