Excited that you're committed to a rewatch already!

It's crazy how early they started setting up these plots. Its amazing to rewatch. Way back in season 1 they were setting up the overarching plot. It took a couple seasons to break through the networks desire for this to be a procedural only show. It was always there from the beginning, but in season 3 it really starts to become something incredible.

Controversial opinion, but this is the episode where I lost all respect for Harold and found him to be a huge hypocrite. He constantly preaches pacifism, tells people they can't get justice or vengeance and even lets a corrupt politician get away with getting Samaritan online because of his moral code, but the literal SECOND the woman HE loves is on the line? "If they harm her in any way, kill them all."

He's not hypocritical or a pacifist, he's just always been very skeptical of abstract justifications for violence, especially in the name of the greater good. It's why he has a fairly good relationship with Elias. Harold is very consistent in that he prefers flawed human action over the utilitarian calculus of the machines.
