Did you try this technique yet, using sea salt on watercolor paint? You can try it on this coloring page of a bakery in Rome.

Make sure the paint isn’t too wet, sprinkle the salt, let it dry, and then wipe it off with your hands of a little brush for a beautiful effect! For the wall, I mixed Payne’s Grey with Yellow Ochre. It’s a great way to create a stone-like color.
