Hi everyone,

This is a special one, and I’ll take you all the way! This will (hopefully) be the cover of my 6th coloring book. This one will be about Rome.

Hi everyone,

This is a special one, and I’ll take you all the way! This will (hopefully) be the cover of my 6th coloring book about Rome.

In this video, you can watch in slightly higher speed how I put down the first pencil lines of a sketch. As you can see, I first draw the frame and then determine the middle. From there, it’s easy to copy the measurements from the reference picture. I only draw the basic lines, no details yet. But you can add them if that makes you more comfortable.

I hope this helps you find your own way to transfer a reference onto paper! Next up: the drawing with a fineliner.

Ciao!x Astrid
