References for session today (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Today I’m going live again, and this time I’m going to show you how to place the illustration on the paper by sketching the outlines, and draw the shopfront and all the details. At least I’ll make a start, and let’s just see how it goes. The session will last about an hour, and we’ll schedule another one next week. If you can’t make it, don’t worry, I’ll record it so you can watch it later.

In this post you can find several references. I suggest you print them all out, or at least the one with lots of white around the photo (Pretty Busy Blooms 3), because that’s the one we’ll use as a template.

The materials you’ll need today are: an HB pencil, an eraser, a ruler or geo-triangle, watercolor paper (I use my favorite, Arches, 300 gsm cold-pressed, size A4), and maybe, if there’s time, we’ll start drawing, so you’ll need some waterproof fineliners for that. I use Pigma Microns from Sakura, sizes 01 and 05.
