Hello everyone,

I wanted to share this coloring page of a New York grocery store that I created from a black-and-white photo. The shop originally belonged to my client’s great-grandfather, and I really enjoyed figuring out the right colors and adding details to the window that would have been typical for that era.

I didn’t make step-by-step scans this time, unfortunately, but since several of you asked about it on Instagram, I’m sharing it anyway.

For the awning, I used a mix of Turkish blue, Payne’s grey, and sap green, which gives a lovely greenish copper tone.

Hope you enjoy it!

x Astrid

I'll add it to my list of future paintings. It might be a good exercise to try it without a step-by-step guide.
