In this video, you can see how I painted the green wall of Scriptum (a beautiful building in Oxford). I do this in approximately two minutes and can give you the following tips if you're painting a large surface with watercolors:

1. Use your largest brush possible because

2. on cold-pressed watercolor paper, you need to work quickly because it dries fast.

3. Try to keep all the edges wet (that's why I occasionally go back to the right) because otherwise, you won't achieve a cohesive result and you'll get edges.

4. Don't mind the puddles on the paper, that's the charm of watercolor!

Materials:

- Large size 14 flat brush from Van Gogh

- Water paints from Royal Talens (a watery mix of Sap Green and Paynes Grey)

The coloring page is coming up next week, but you can practice this ofcourse on other shopfronts.

Have fun!

Thanks for the tip about not letting edges dry and going back and forth. I’m new to your Patreon channel and look forward to learning more!

There is no audio… I cannot hear anything for some reason :)

Urban Anna

Well the reason was that my son shouted really hard asking where his soccer outfit was so I muted the video :-)
