It’s lovely to see Lilly so happy; the two of them make a sweet couple (how long has it been since they split up, story-wise?). I hope Luke gets his happy ending and that this is the real reason why he’s been missing. The story has treated him rather harshly. Is he an idiot for ignoring Lilly? Yes, absolutely. Is he also an idiot because he struggles to communicate properly? Also, yes. But he’s a brilliant workaholic who helps everyone without hesitation (Lily when she asked for help with Claire, knowing he’s a workaholic; Jade in her rivalry with Ivy; the Tea Girls with the enzyme; Walker with his Height Mug business). It would be a shame if, in the end, he were simply sidelined (by his friends) or cast as the series’ villain (after all, Miki wanted to pick a fight with him just to cheer Lilly up). Luke deserves to be happy too.

You have no idea how happy I am when I receive such detailed feedback. Thank you! So, Lily and Luke broke up on December 21st. Lily starts the relationship with Tobi about 12 days later, and now they’ve been together for a couple of weeks. It’s absolutely not my intention to portray Luke as the villain of the story. He made his mistakes (just as Lily did), but there’s one thing I want to clarify: Luke didn’t help Walker, Claire, and the others because he cared about them. He did it solely and exclusively because he’s fascinated by science. His research is the thing he cares about the most. There will also be an epilogue for him in the final chapter, and we’ll learn a little more about some forces that have been operating in the shadows.
