THIS EPISODE IS SO INCREDIBLE. I love this show so much. I love Wilson so much. I'm so unwelllllll. WILHELM JUST F-ING EVERYONE UP IN THIS EP IS SENDING ME. I actually cried multiple times this episode and screeched a lot as well so apologies for what you are about to watch. you've been warned. seeing Simon get absolute shit on with every step he takes has me raging but what else is new? I'm nervous about the whole betrayal from Sara and what this will mean for season 3 and their relationship. however, Simon told Wille that he would be a secret for him and then whispered I love you which had me sobbing..... and then Wille went off the rails and told everyone exactly what was up and THEIR SMILES. in case anyone needs me, I'll be crying in the corner over them. also, f Marcus, f the Queen, and f August. 🩶

Omg yesssss, I loved that reaction! A little preventive step... A lot of people reacting to 3x1 are a bit confused about the timeline.. So I am commenting it before. Season 1 started in the autumn and ended around Christmas, season 2 started in January and ended somewhere in March (approximately). Simon, Wille and the people in their year are first years and August and his friends are third (final) years. I just love to witness you falling in love this show that is so amazingly good and means so much to so many people. 💜 Buckle up, stack up on the tissues and get ready for Season 3. 💜

yay!!! YES!!! i love your reactions! you're so invested and also great at recapping previous episodes and then summing up the one you've watched. it's refreshing to see someone so excited about it all over again! now you can do season 3!!! as you know.. its the last one. strap in for a crazy ride. once we get to the end of the series.. there's also a doco of behind the scenes of season 3 called "young royals forever" which you probably already know about. hope to see you react to it!

Yeah, this is useful. The show goes autumn to winter, winter to spring, spring to summer. Of course that's the school year but I wonder if there's something meta to be said about the seasons and this show.

Aww Ryann, darling, your happy and sad tears are our happy and sad tears. We had 16 months to wait for the next season and we went a little feral, to say the least. With mulling over all the ramifications of this season. Thank goodness for the content we were given by the cast and crew, via interviews, - it got us all so excited and invested. Here are some things you can watch now that this season is over. This is a great interview with Edvin and Rojda and Lisa the head director and head writer - talking about season 2. I enjoy any conversation that Rojda is part of - because she is such an insightful director - and really made YR what it is, I think. such a great reaction, as always! i forgot how much i love this episode. wille pointing a gun at august was honestly everything. he deserves to have that fear after the shit he has put wille and simon through. wille was obviously not gonna pull it (though that was very risky) but he knew giving that fear would get a confession out. and him pulling out the "people like us can cover things up" which is what august told him in s1 ep 1 was iconic simon finding out sara betrayed him broke my heart. i had been waiting for that ball to drop, and i knew once it did that he would be broken. wille giving him that hug was so heartbreaking. it says so much about wille. that hug is exactly what wille needed in the s1 finale when he found out august and the queen betrayed him, so he was trying to give simon the comfort he would have wanted. a beautiful thing about wilmon this episode is what they do for each other because of their love. simon decides to stay a secret because of his love for wille, and i think that + hearing simon say ily pushed wille to have the confidence to do what he did with the speech. the end bit with sara is sad because we know that reporting to the police is not gonna help anything, but she really does think she is making things right. it is very clear that she does love and cherish her brother, but she has made some very wrong decisions. as many of us have said about this show, we love that the characters are all flawed. and i think that is very important to say, especially going into this next season. i think s3 is the ultimate test for these characters, and who they are. the tone of this show is very much "the highs are high, and the lows are lows".

I don't think I took a breath the first time I watched that shooting range scene, the first time all five main characters shared the screen. This is one of my top two favorite episodes, because I truly did not know where it was headed until the last seconds. And then I cried and cried and cried. I can't wait to experience season three all over again.

Excellent reaction. The writing of this show is so good I'm still moved by it no matter how many times I have seen it. Particularly watching it with someone else reacting to it as strongly as I do. As I have said before, keep track of the echoes. It enhances the enjoyment of this series. Simon's, "I love you." was, of course the bookend to Wille's from last season. But also, so much discussion was given about how gross the spit was in the initiation is season 1. Wille spitting on August was the echo of that. Wille spitting out on August all the crap he had made Wille swallow the entire year. Lisa and her crew are just brilliant. On to season 3! (Buckle up!)

Your reactions are precious and so relatable! *hands you a tissue and plate of cookies* I don't think I breathed this entire episode, and I've rewatched it and ep 5 more times than I can count. I too was absolutely SHOOK when we got a happyish ending. But because of so much pain and drama, it felt so EARNED. The lows are so heartbreaking, making the highs so euphoric. Boris pulled out his popcorn bowl when Wille went off book during the speech LOL. I adore that man. The way I yelled when Wille admitted to entire world it was him in the video and looked at Simon. He knew it was being televised. Like...he has trouble with class presentations (totally valid), and he stood there and said "no more lying, this is bullsh!t...all it does is cause more problems. HEY WORLD, I'm here, I'm queer, and I'm in love with this guy behind me, and you can deal with it. Have a nice day!" I fully expected Jon Olaf to stroke on live television. Wilhelm, the man that you are. I loved seeing his journey this season, he grew so much and started to take back some of the agency that had been kept from him his whole life. It's amazing what a heartfelt ILY from the person you love can do. They both willingly made a sacrifice for the other this episode. Wilhelm knew Simon loved him when he agreed to be a secret, and Simon knew just how much Wilhelm truly loved him when he told the truth on live TV. He was SHOOKETH. Some amazing parallels this episode. It took an entire season of pain, but hearing Simon return Wille's ILY from season 1 finale was everything. Also, don't think anyone has mentioned the red light in Simon's room. Wille has a different red light in his room as well. When Simon is talking to Ayub, trying to decide if he wants to be with Wille...he says goodbye and hangs up, and then the light changes to red, the color of love. I love this show.

this episode may have been one of my favorites! there was so much going on but the highs were so high in this one!! when he said 'people like us can cover things up' I knew he meant business and I had goosebumps! 🤣 I'd been waiting for simon to find out about Sara as well and was terrified for that moment bc I knew how much it was going to hurt simon and therefore hurt me and it sure did 🤣 that hug, omg, it was everything. exactly!! simon is like f it, I'm in love, we can be a secret if it means being together and that's all Wille needed to be like f it, him being okay with that makes me want to lay it all out there. I love them SO MUCH. I'm unwell. yeah, I'm so frustrated with Sara, it's one of those things where like I know she's trying to help but like, a bit late for that. and also, like maybe talk to simon first!? you got into this mess but not talking to him about what you were doing, not talking to him again is only going to make it worse. I'm so terrified for this season. why can't we just have blissful happiness 😭🩶
