It was so much fun getting to see Rory experience Harvard, even if some of the choices that were being made would've given me a heart attack 🤣 The Cheshire Cat was such an interesting place with interesting people.... and I loved seeing the change in Luke when he heard about Max and Lorelai! 🤣

Max was giving off controlling vibes. However, it looks like Lorelai did NOT tell him, which is of course no way to break up, much less an engagement. :)

"Father of the year award" for Christopher, made me laugh out loud. :)

You caught that well with the cups. Gilmore Girls is a bit known for these continuity issues at times. :)

The moment with Lorelai looking at the wall of Harvard Valedictorians and her eyes settling on the one from 1990 is because that is the year she would've graduated had she gone to college. Just one of those moments of her thinking about what she's missed out on.

If it makes you feel better, the college guy talking to Lorelai could possibly be in law school, which is older than undergrad. I had a classmate in his 40s.

Also, you’re not supposed to know who the picture on the wall is. The important bit is the “Class of 1990” bit. That would have been Lorelai’s graduation year had she gone to college. Rory was born in October 84 while Lorelai was in her junior year of high school. That puts her at an 86 high school graduation year. Add four years for college and you get 1990.

I like to think Emily’s “who called it off” was a “do I have to have him killed” question.

it's funny because I feel like I'm usually really oblivious to things like that and usually just watch things for the vibes but for some reason the cup really caught my attention 🤣

ahhhh gotcha, that makes a lot of sense! 🩶

I got that vibe too actually, I didn't feel like her asking was actually accusatory towards lorelai, I was worried about it at first, but once they played their little game with the gift I felt good about that interaction! 🩶

I just thought Emily would have been embarrassed socially if her daughter had been left at the altar. Now, if anyone asks, it was Lorelai's decision to end the engagement!
