Since you guys helped me out so much regarding Bridgerton- have any of you seen the HBO show Girls?

no one has recommended it but it looks very intriguing to me and I need to know if anyone has seen it- if it’s good- let me know!!

Controversies with Lena Dunham have made it a little hard to want to watch her creations. Usually I consider shows so much more than the creator (I still watch Joss Whedon shows cuz there are so many other artists involved in them in all aspects), but considering she wrote the majority of episodes and she's also the self insert main character it's harder to separate.

See the first two seasons and you will have seen the best of it. Definitely worth watching/reacting to those.

One of my favorite all time shows! Lena Dunham is a very smart and funny writer and the show was so well made. Excellent cast. It’s the reason i first fell in love with adam driver even though his character is a bit out there lol

I watched most of it, stopped at the beginning of the last season (stopping to watch a show before finishing was really rare for me. Stopping after already starting the last season... well... says something). The reason I kept watching and started watching it in the first place, was because I wanted to get into more cable comedy shows, an area/genre I hadn't explored much at the time (I used to watch a LOT of shows back in the day). The first season was out and very well received so I binged it. First season was okay, but I give a lot of leeway for first seasons, as long as it doesn't feel like a copy of another show, I'm good. As for the rest, while there were some good scenes here and there, it was mostly... not good. Acting was mostly fine, but writing was just not good. There really isn't anything special about the show that I remember. There are much, much better shows that you will enjoy more.

The dept of the girls was pretty low it was a bit shallow for me didnt like much of it.

I've thought of watching Barry a few times, I keep going back and forth on starting that, I've heard good things though. Girls, I watched a little, I wasn't that interested in it, not sure if I like Lena Dunham's comedy style that much.
