I'm obsessed with Paris going to have lunch with lorelai and that Michel is scared of her. that's incredible. it was interesting to see Rory dabble in the DAR. it feels so unlike her so I'll be curious to see how long it lasts. she seemed fine in the office but seeing her at Yale there at the end and then standing in that room, she felt sad to me 🤔 I love that lorelai is choosing to not set a date until her and Rory are back on track 🩶

Stopping everything immediately to watch, I’m having such an overwhelming week, this is perfect time 🙌

I love that in the moment of Luke recapping his night with Paul Anka, Lorelai explains to him why she hasn't wanted to set a date for the wedding yet. And you can tell it's because she was just thinking to herself "I love this man so much and I cannot wait to marry him and spend the rest of my life with him. But I need my daughter to be a part of my life again before I can move forward". It's such a soft and quiet moment between Luke and Lorelai but this scene just encapsulates how much they love each other without necessarily bashing you over the head with it. It's definitely one of my favorite, and underrated, Luke/Lorelai moments

Ahhh hopefully this brings a little joy!! 🩶🩶

Ryann Rodkey

TOTALLY!! She does such a great job of that ‘quietly being so in love’ look. I LOVED that scene!!

Yasemin

I love Tom and the mystic hammer bit.

Luna

I’m OBSESSED with Paris and Lorelai being brunch buddies! This duo is so underrated. Why didn’t they do this sooner?! 😭❤️

Luna

LUKE IS EVERYTHING OH MY GOD. I love how much he cares about Paul Anka like that’s literally his son!!! He can deny it all he wants, but we all know the truth 🤭

Yasemin

I knew you would come around on Luke and the dog situation! Isn't he adorable? :) (I mean Luke here, but also the dog is so sweet, too. :)

This might be a hot take, but Rory working at the DAR is such a refreshing change of pace. She needs to branch out more and explore other things that aren’t related to journalism. I feel like it would help keep her options open because she shouldn’t limit herself to just one thing. It would really boost her chances or connections later on. However, she clearly misses school, and it’s so obvious that she belongs there more than the DAR. That transition at the end was so heartbreaking to watch because it’s like you know you’re supposed to be somewhere else, but you can’t go back there yet because of how much damage it has caused you and the person you love. It’s especially so sad how Lorelai doesn’t want to set a date yet until she and Rory fix things, but I really like that approach from her because it makes the most sense. Our beloved Gilmore girls are seriously going through it this season ☹️

The incredible joke of Michel being offended that Paris called him Canadian is that the actor who plays Michel is, in fact, Canadian.

"Sweetie, it's a t-shirt, they don't tend to be that chatty" LOL

Yasemin

That Blondie cover ("Hanging on the telephone") with Zach and the band ROCKS. I love it so much!

Yasemin

OMG I only ever now noticed this joke...Lorelai to Sookie "I AM committed...and you should be!" LOL

Yasemin

I wouldn't mind another ep this week, even if you can totally take season 6 slowly....just because we had a bit of a break :)

I felt sad for Paris in this… I imagine it’s been tough for her. She grew up with parents who didn’t seem to care about her, and her nanny took on the honorary parent role. She’s intense for people around her but it’s only her defense mechanism. I think at this point she considers Rory to be her very best friend, even though Rory might not return the sentiment. I think Paris misses her, and doesn’t know how to say exactly that, because that would require her being vulnerable.

Bruce

I think it’s obvious that she excels in management. You stick her in an office setting or any setting where there is a staff, she shows that she is a natural leader who is good at motivating people and at organizing tasks. I think that’s a genuine lesson here— give her any surroundings, and her natural leadership ability will come out.

Gil's van that Hep Alien went on tour with actually belonged to Sebastian Bach... stickers and all! He doesn't have it anymore, but he wishes he did!

Luna

I agree!! I also think she has the management skills because of Lorelai because Lorelai also does management with her inns. I feel like I don’t see that many people talking about this similarity between the two of them. Like mother, like daughter! :)

Yasemin

"Like mother, like daughter" is actually the title of Gilmore Girls in Brazil. :) Agree about this being an interesting experience for her, and she is definitely good at organizing.

Yasemin

Paris is such a great character on this show, and Liza Weil's comedic timing is impeccable. In real life though, she would totally drive people nuts (even more than on GG). :)

Luna

Omg this is so amazing lol

After hearing you on the theme song, have you considered actually singing? You're really good. 🎶😊🤩

Luke was awesome in this episode! Being so supportive to Lorelai, and helping with Paul Anka... what's not to love?!?!? Plus, we get another scene with Luke in his sweats! Hell yeah!!!

Ryann Rodkey

omg that's so kind but I'm literally so tone deaf it's horrendous. TRUST 🤣

Ryann Rodkey

I totally agree with you! Paris breaks my heart and I think she truly cherishes her friendship with Rory so seeing her struggle with feeling like that's been lost in a way is upsetting!
