I know you're like three episodes ahead of this by now but this one has such high quality wesper that i can't not talk about it too tbh. Jesper not remembering Wylan was a "five times he didn't and one time he finally did" fic i swear. Like my man didn't remember Wylan 1. at first 2. after talking to him 3. in evening light 4. in daylight 5. when their faces were inches apart BUT HE FINALLY REMEMBERED AS SOON AS HE WAS ON TOP OF HIM. That's not just foreshadowing that is backshadowing - that is storytelling imagery at its finest. Because there is only one reason seeing Wylan in that position would be the thing that triggers his memory. Jesper. Sir. S i r. I know wesper are way more slow-burn in the books (from what I hear anyway) but I for one am thrilled they didn't try and pull that on screen. We deserve to see them happy and in love and s2 is only 8 episodes. If they slow-burned it we'd have gotten nothing this season. That would've been miserable. Watching Kaz and Inej Going Thru It is more than enough relationship suffering for me. Plus.. idk.. when do we ever really get happy gays?? Never. And yet there are people complaining because it's not taking 84 years for our boys to be happy. It's wild (derogatory). When they were getting shot at and Jesper pulled Wylan back into the carriage through that little window trust me: you were NOT alone in thinking that was cute as fuck. Yeah they're in danger but he really reached through that window, got his arms around his man, and yoinked him like a sack of potatoes. Adorable. Jesper and Wylan saving each other, each being capable of defending and protecting in their own way, is everything to me. Wylan is small and cute but he is badass as fuck - with explosives and chemicals and spider monkey skills. I kinda love how underestimated he is all the time tbh, because yeah it can be frustrating (people thinking he's helpless can fight me) but it also makes his badassery come across even more badass y'know?? Like a very rude surprise lol And Jesper's thumbs up while Wylan's being choked and Jesper's 2 seconds from getting a metal bar to the throat?? Unnecessary and iconic. I love that guy

I am SO sorry- I'm sobbing at 'YOINKED HIM LIKE A SACK OF POTATOES.' That is the best description I have ever heard and that's exactly what happened. The Wesper in this ep is unmatched, the fact that this man is like 'have we met? that sounds familiar. I'm not unpacking this with a stranger.' and Wylan's face every. single. time. sir, what are you doing!? I couldn't handle how close they kept getting in this episode, it was sending me. Yes, Wesper is so slow burn in the books. There's lots of like Jesper hardcore being flirty and Wylan blushing and stuff, but they literally don't kiss or anything until the second book. I'm so with you, we have Kaz and Inej slow-burning it up and Nina and Matthias literally apart, I want my Wesper and I want it now. You're so right, we never just get a happy gay couple I feel like? Especially one where that's not even a discussion upon ANYONE!? IT'S SO GOOD. Jesper pulling Wylan through... it's so adorable. He's just takin him lmao. I agree, there are so many people experiencing the show knowing nothing about Wylan and the fact that everyone is going from like awhhhh to- holy shit, man is assisting with EVERYTHING and blowing it all up, is so exciting for me. The fact that he can be SO badass and also shy and and shit is so refreshing. Usually the badass people are the more confident, extroverted, people and Wylan is showing something that I feel like we never got in film and tv. The thumbs up was the most uncalled for and also funniest thing I have ever seen!
