I absolutely loved Malec throwing this party for Max together, and I hate this Clary/Simon thing going on. It makes me so sad for Simon that she's interested now only because Jace is her brother. I just know he's going to get hurt in the end. Also, Magnus is such a bad ass!

The MVP of this episode was definitely Magnus. Planning a party for Alec (yes, officially for Max but we all know he's doing it because he wants to make Alec happy) even though he dislikes Shadowhunters, just smiling when Maryse basically called him an alcoholic as a form of greeting, just smiling and indulging Max when the little shit was so rude to him and then saving the day and sending Iris to the Clave. I wonder what they must think when he just portals people there without any warning - first Camille and now Iris. Like how did she get here? Who's this and what are we supposed to do with her? I don't like Clary and Simon together but only because we all know that he's the second option. But to give her some credit she's genuinely trying and she was kind of jealous of Maya so there IS something besides friendship. And Valentine... he's such a creep. Manipulative, devious, with bad intentions... he's a really good villain but I still want him gone from the show.

Clary/Simon are interesting to me. It’s hard not to enjoy them because Kat and Alberto have such natural chemistry, but it really does seem like in the show Clary is genuinely interested and seeing some new side of Simon she’s attracted to (it’s very different from the books where Clary is very clearly not interested yet going along with it anyways). I think the show did a good job with progressively showing her noticing little more “attractive” details about him after he became a vampire and the hints of jealous with Maia. Isabelle and Raphael are another interesting pair, but unfortunately their whole bond has the basis of a type of drug-like addiction so it’s hard to really root for them despite their good chemistry😓 I remember watching this episode when it aired live and everyone was so confused about everything going on haha and the cast had said this filming was one of the rare times everyone was together filming at the same time and they couldn’t stop laughing and breaking character😭 I don’t know if anyone has mentioned but there are official bloopers videos moving forward for each half season (2A, 2B, 3A, 3B) if you want to react to them!!

I am so with you! Magnus put up with A LOT of crap this episode and not being treated the greatest purely for his love of Alec and I love him dearly for that so so much! That is precisely why I am so upset about them being together! The chemistry is great, but I just know that he wasn't her choice regardless of seeing him in a new light or starting to think of him that way!! Valentine needs to go STAT 🩶

The domestic vibes are SOARING 🤣 Quite honestly, I have NO idea lol. the only thing I can think of at the moment is that she was somehow tested on? Valentine absolutely did something to her or Jocelyn- but that is only given that all of the information about her past that we have now been given is actually accurate and I don't know that it is bc I don't trust anything that this show actually says at this point 🤣

Yes! The chemistry between them is wonderful, it's hard not to like and they did such a good job of making it believable by us getting to see her notice him more, buttttttt I only don't like it because I know that if she didn't think Jace was her brother, there never would have been a chance, so it hurts me on behalf of Simon 🩶 Oh yeah, the Izzy/Raphael situation is so toxicccc and absolutely only for the drug, however, taking all of that away, their banter before was so good before all of this! if I could pick and choose who was with who or where izzy went, it would absolutely be with Simon 🤣 omg that's so funny, I was LOST for quite a bit until it snapped for me lol ooooh, I will absolutely have to watch! Does 2A technically end with episode 10?
