Hahaha, I had so much fun with this episode :D I was hoping noone would spoil it for you but I guess no amount of spoilers could prepare you for THAT. They knew what they were doing to us. Sigh, I need that spin-off. I love that they can have their little inside jokes now - like with the name dropping (which is true, Magnus does that a lot). And I love how they are in their own lovey dovey world enjoying themselves while others are having the worst day of their lives. I guess the writers love Malec as well. Honestly, in my mind this whole episode was just Malec and Sizzy... and maybe deranged Jonathan but I would like to forget that one (eww).

Hotness overload! This training scene was everything! Let’s face it, Magnus didn’t actually need to learn how to fight bcs obviously he has the skills and looks damn good showing them off)) I just can’t with his graceful dancer moves! And I love how they teased and flirted with each other throughout it all.. Magnus calling Alec pup and cute and Alec’s line about Magnus having “ black belt in name dropping” was so satisfying to see) Also the fact that they start with intentions to train but promptly end up in bedroom 😂😂 though snuggles after would have been great too.. But I guess Magnus realizing that his time is not infinite and wanting to make every moment count filled him with sense of urgency making him panic and be in a hurry.. I’m so glad that Alec made him slow down and showed that being in a moment and savoring it is more important than chasing after another point in his bucket list. This mature communication is what makes their relationship so deep and healthy for me. Also it was so funny for me that Malec was living their life in this ep when all others were having/solving some problems 😅..only me? Well..

You've made it! Congratulations!! It was worth the hype wasn't it? 1. You getting up during that scene was the realest thing ever lmao. If you notice, when Magnus start's to lift Alec's shirt, the rune that the makeup team always puts on his stomach is missing. Meaning that scene was improvised by Harry :). 2. They never meet Caine in the books. and in fact, Simon gets the mark off in a rather... unconventional way. More specifically they summon an Angel for a favor (I'll get to that in a few episodes), and the Angel agrees, only if he gives up the mark. Simon agrees, and the Angel takes it from him, because he does not deserve Heaven's mark. 3. Jonathan mentions that Paris is the biggest institute in the world. It is not. The London Institute is! However, despite it's size, it's been rather empty for the past few hundred years. It's also haunted by a very helpful and very kind ghost. 4. Simon's face when Meliorn hits on him is something that replays in my head every day 5. The Morgenstern sword was a thing in the books two, except it was two swords. Made by Wayland the Smith, the same Smith who made who also made the famous swords Excalibur (also called Caliburn), Joyeuse, Durendal, Balmung and Cortana (the famous Carstairs swords). The two Morgenstern swords are called Heosphoros and Phaesphoros, and are meant to balance each other out. Good and bad. Phaesphoros was given to Jonathan by Valentine during the war against Valentine (The Mortal War), and Heosphoros was sold to a weapon's shop by Jocelyn, when she ran away. Clary bought it back from the shop during the City of Heavenly Fire, and it played a big part in the end of TMI. 7. The song that plays during the Sizzy scene is called Carry You, by Ruelle and Fleurie, which is beautiful because both of their songs have been used in the show before. Hurts Like Hell and Soldier by Fleurie were both used, as was War of Hearts, The Other Side, Storm. Bad Dreams, Where Do We Go From Here, Fire Meets Fate, and two other ones (I Get To Love You, and Where We Come Alive) which are later in the season by Ruelle. 8. I can never see the Clace reunion the same after the bloopers lmfao. You'll see it when you finish season 3B, but it's really funny lmao.

The first one - no. Just no. As if I needed another reason to re-watch the scene :D When I read your posts I always get this urge to go and read the books. But I tried, I really tried, I did start the first book of TMI and I had to put it down. The writing is just awful (English is not my first language and I still can tell). I managed to finish the Bane chronicles and the first book of the Malec trilogy but for those I at least had greater incentive :) I wish I could just absorb all the story and lore without actually needing to read the books.

I will say I had heard about a training scene, but we get a lot of those, so I wasn't thinking too much on it and with Magnus not having his magic, I was like, oh yeah, this is necessary. BUT WHAT WE GOT. A DIFFERENT STORY. I'm with you Malec and Sizzy unite! I was having such a good time, even with Jonathan so that's saying something 🤣

Ryann Rodkey

omg ikr!? I couldn't cope when Alec said 'I told you not to flirt with me.' oh.my.god. nonononononono. I'm so weak. I love them so much and they spoiled us with that for real. omg yes, the conversation with males about slowing down so you can appreciate the moments, I LOVED that. 🩶

Ryann Rodkey

it was worth the hype and so much more, I'm still not okay 🤣 also- that first fact is a CRIME. you're so right, his rune isn't there and omg, harry.... he really did that. I mean, who wouldn't, let's be real. but danggggg thank you harry for that. also, I'm loving the facts today, especially the swords names! thank you for the songs as always, so so appreciated! I cannot wait for the bloopers now 🫢

YourAverageWarlock

Oh yes! I totally understand the writing complains! That's why I write these facts- to let show fans be able to enjoy easter eggs! English is also not my first language- and the first few books were hard to get through. The final ones though, I am a fan of! For the finale I'm going to write like- a full novel so you'll get a bunch of information without reading the books! Also I left a bunch of comments on the youtube channel if you want more facts! I'm happy you're enjoying them!

YourAverageWarlock

HARRY IS EVERYTHING IN THIS SCENE. Again, I'm having a fun time with this, so it's really no big deal! Also- Ruelle is like one of my favorite singers so I'm happy to share her music!

Elise

i know u didnt ask for it but the song during the Malec fight scene is The Chain by Mattis

Ryann Rodkey

omg, yes! I didn't ask, but I needed it for my soul and I have added it to my playlist bc it's *chef's kiss* 🩶
