Dont know if you ever caught that, but Lords always called Augusta Princess Dowager. In the show its mostly insinuated that she was the former Queen, but her Husband Friedrich never became King. He is the only Heir Apparent from the House of Hanover that never became King. George followed his grandfather on the throne and was the first King from this house that was born in england. He also wasnt an only child. Friedrich and Augusta had a ton of children and its reported, that he gave every child a piece of grass to garden it.
