Glad you guys love Baron zeppli (Led Zeppelin). He is very loved by the community for many reasons. This first 9 episodes are 44 manga chapters. This is the only part to be so compacted. Often regaded as the worst one, only due to how amazing the story progresses. I'm glad it has you both so hooked from the topics and graphic scenes. I can't wait for the next instalment!

OH! we should’ve mentioned there was an after credits scene for episode 3 that showed Wang Chan(the guy that sold Dio the poison) searching the rubble of the mansion for the Stone Mask then Dio’s severely burned hand emerges from the debris, grabs Wang Chan's wrist, and drains his blood to turn him into a zombie.

Godfather 1 is my absolute favourite movie of all time! so seeing JoJo's pay homage to it is a treat for me. Right from Part 1, Hirohiko Araki honors the legendary Marlon Brando by naming the villain, Dio Brando, after him. The part with Jack the Ripper attacking them in the tunnel even had a nod to the iconic horse head scene from The Godfather. Definitely keep an eye out for all the movie and pop culture references in future parts.

Speedwagon really is one of the ultimate hype men of all time, he’s up there with Fatman Scoop, Elephant Man and Flavor Flav! 😭 Everyone needs a friend like him in their corner to succeed. He doesn't have superpowers, but his absolute dedication and play-by-play commentary could make anyone feel like they can do anything! We all need a Speedwagon in our lives!

That mansion fight is an absolute masterpiece of animation and tension. The direction and color choices throughout the entire sequence are incredible. The way the palette shifts to emphasize the raw emotion and horror of the fight is pure art. Also, can we talk about the incredible foley and sound direction? The sound design when JoJo is walking up the stairs built so much suspense…every single footstep felt heavy, deliberate, and packed with dread. David Production really cooked for Part 1.

Keep all the facts coming. How endowed with depth the show is, adds to the fun

In case you might have noticed already, ever since Dio has become a vampire, he started screaming: "WRYYYY!" that's his famous, inhuman battle screech. The manga creator Hirohiko Araki (a vampire himself) invented the sound because vampires didn't have a standard battle cry, and it has since become a legendary internet meme. Dio frequently pairs this screech with his iconic catchphrase "Muda Muda!", which translates from Japanese to "Useless! Useless!" (meaning his opponents' attacks are completely futile against him).

Zeppeli is a direct reference to the legendary British rock band Led Zeppelin. The mangaka Hirohiko Araki, is a massive fan of Western rock music and named almost all of his characters, powers, and stands after famous bands, albums, and songs. And Speedwagon is a direct reference to the American rock band REO Speedwagon. Speaking of him, because of his undying loyalty, emotional commentary, and helpful nature, the anime community widely considers Speedwagon to be the "best waifu" in the entire series. He is literally the ultimate loyal ally to the Joestar family. 🤣

As my son would say: Speedwagon is the #1 waifu!

Him and bart are the best...and Brother Bon

First time watching JoJo. So I'm along the ride with you guys. The VA acting seems exaggerated and a little over the top but is seems its meant to be this way. I dig it.

I love that you guys are loving jojo part 1 so far. It’s considered the weakest part of the franchise because every other part is much better. However, part one is short and sweet and sets the foundation for future parts in a way that it becomes memorable in hindsight. The manga started around the 80’s and the author took inspiration from Rambo, terminator, Conan and more which is why the Male characters are super buff. To match their esthetic.

I really enjoy this show, but for some reason I stopped during season 3 and honestly it was so long ago when I watched it I don't remember why. Watching this with you guys, has brought me back into the show to watch it again with you.

WHAT AN HONOR 😭✌️

Cristian

If this is the weakest part, I can't wait for the good part.. I'm already hooked after their first reaction. This is much better than JJK.
