Each month, we alternate posting a Host Special, focusing on personal experiences, our favourite games, or just stories that peaked our interest. We wanted to provide some bonus content for our Patrons, so the Monthly Host Special is exclusive to Patrons of The Gamers’ Inn. Thank you for the support, and we hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed putting this together.

Thank you for your support and happy gaming!

For my family, it was all about Board Game Sundays (though it extended past the Summer). We're a video game family at our heart, but we wanted to have a day where we unplugged. Thus, every Sunday we got together and played different board and card games. That's translated into my adulthood where I now own 70+ board games and when the opportunity arrives, we sit down as a family and play them all day long.

Halo also has a special place in Summer gaming because my Biology teacher in High School would open his room up to the video game club. He had video projectors hitting all four walls and we would LAN Halo 1 matches all day long. A guy named Paul would always kick our butts, but it was all about the fun we had along the way.

Oh man, that's awesome! Very cool of that teacher to set that up for you and the video game club. - RM

I do need to get the kids more into board games. Kayden really loves Catan, and I played a lot of that in University. i know Joce and crew are very into board games and have an awesome collection. - RM
