Balance on a ball with MINDSTORMS and Pybricks! (Patreon)

We finally got around to creating instructions for this epic model. You can build it with a single MINDSTORMS set and code it with Pybricks! Check out the attached instructions and program to try it yourself.

This program relies on many features unique to Pybricks, including accurate gyro integration on separate axes and much faster execution speed compared to the official app.

The balancing algorithm is similar to that of a two-wheeled "Segway" self-balancing robot, but now on two separate axes. We'll be working on more examples for regular balancing robots in the future, and then we'll zoom in on how they work exactly.
