BigTim86

The most divisive episode. I like everything stranger things, so still was enjoyable for me. Perhaps a necessary episode.

Marvelous JJ

Yeah, this episode is not too bad, but I completely understand why it's the lowest rated one in the series. My least favorite as well.

crookedspin

Yeah I think this one episode is the main reason people consider season 2 the weakest

Joshua Johnson

Definitely the worst episode of the entire series lol

Joshua Johnson

I’m definitely looking forward to your reaction to the next two episodes and then season three and my favorite season ever season 4!

Amy Moquin

Most people didn't like this episode. My biggest issue with it is the placement of the episode. Everything is reaching a climax w/ Will, Hop, Steve, etc and we break away from all of that to this episode. I think it's a major reason why people weren't thrilled with Season 2.

MadeByMali

Never before have I seen a single episode bring down the quality of an entire season. But this episode is one of a kind because it does just that 😂

MadeByMali

But on another note it’s completely understandable that #8 would want to enact vengeance on her abusers/torturers. Also, understandable why she would want El to be by her side as they are effectively sisters

Alyssa Dyson

l liked the episode...just didnt like the placement of it. Her power is somewhat important though.

Joanna 🌚

I understand that Elle had to go through that but I wish the writers hadn’t dedicated an entire episode of this to the season, by far my least favorite episode of the entire show, I would even skip it upon a rewatch if I were y’all. Idk everyone has different opinions but I think most of us were not pleased with this ep or at least the placement of it. I was even dreading watching your reaction because it’s just so boring to me and unnecessarily long

Erika Bade

Kinda funny, Runaway by Bon Jovi ended up not only being appropriate for El/Jane’s story at that point in time, but the actress Millie Bobby Brown is now engaged to marry Jon Bon Jovi’s son.

Franky E

I thought 8’s power was really cool

Olivia

If they bring back 8 in season 5, then I'm good with this episode. If she's never seen or heard from again....then idk about this EP. I do think all the hate over it is silly tho 😂

Abrielle Wright

I like to pretend this episode and #8 just don't exist lol

Abrielle Wright

The good thing is, this is the worst episode of the series so it's only up from here!

Tyrell John

When Pudgey said "We as an audience don't feel at home" was something I actually haven't heard anyone else mention before, but is completely right! This entire episode was El realizing who her new family is, and understanding her importance to them as well. She's still a kid, but this showed so much maturity in her capability to do the right thing!

Lucy Fairhurst

Unrelated but you guys HAVE to watch The Last of Us. I think you'd seriously love it!!

Lucy Fairhurst

No way!? Can't believe I never noticed it!

Gummybear

I get what they were trying to achieve with this episode and it has some cool elements but the execution felt very contrived and sloppy imo. It could’ve been handled much better

Cyan

Eh, this episode isn't that bad in a nutshell, I enjoyed it (80's misfits is a fun aesthetic). It just wasn't a good place in the story to explore an eleven side-quest with a whole bunch of new characters

Carrie Smith

El needed the lesson, but she needs to learn it's not all about hate and "the Dark Side". How much more confirmation on Barb do you need? You even mentioned #JusticeForBarb! That's a thing for a reason! 😆
