This is gonna be interesting to see. A much slower show than what we usually get

Dan Marsh

the best one season show ever

BigTim86

My favorite single season of a show ever; and never seen it reacted to. Really looking forward to watching your journey.

ArcAngel

Funniest moment in this episode: early that day...Rust: "...it's like I can smell the psychosphere...". Later that day...Marty: "... Quit saying sh!t like you can smell a psycho's fear"...

ArcAngel

A lot of people get on Rust as if he is a bad person because of his brutally realistic views on life and because he isn't religious. But for someone to have that perspective and still live his life almost like an ascetic monk (no comforts for himself) in a public service job to which he is totally dedicated... and his self-sacrifice isn't motivated by a promise of heavenly reward because he doesn't believe in that either -- is that a bad person?

Grant Sadlowski

I like that you enjoyed the intro. It is quite good. As far as I'm concerned, the intro to season 2 is the best part of that season. I know you aren't watching season 2 now, but might be worth it to flip thru the intro if you have time.

Mike Miner

Just a random observation... your audio is so good and you just have the one mic! It's often annoying to watch reactors messing with the mics, wearing headsets, etc. I don't think I've ever seen any reaction channels using one mic for 2 people, (and I don't know anything about audio engineering), so whoever is in charge of your audio... very well done!

I had to give up my membership cause of the economy but I’m glad to be back for this, season 1 is regarded as one of the best seasons of television of ALL TIME ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIHHT

Thank you for this message, because we have spent hours and hours of stressful days as rookies trying to work on our audio!!

Johnny_Raincloud

As much as I harp on The Sopranos being the GOAT, True Detective season 1 is the best season of television ever

Trent_88

Season 1 is great, season 4 is fantastic as well imo. So if you guys enjoy it and want to hit a similar style again some time, don't rule out season 4 (also season 4 is really new, it only came out this year oppose to the first 3 that were 10ish years ago).

Lara Amaro

I noticed you started this, since I hadn't watched it I went ahead and did just that. I found the acting great but come on...a masterpiece? I'm not sure what everyone else is on about, I'm not trying to be a downer, but that was disappointing.

Agreed. The 2 main actors are fantastic, but, especially the finale, was kinda like eh.

Ray Taylor

True Detective S1 is 100% an amazing season! Do want to give a massive thumbs up to Season 4 though :) My rankings... Season 1 -> Season 4 --> Season 3 --------------------> Season 2 :)

Logan Miller

This is my favorite season of TV ever! I can't wait to watch Pudgey dissect it and I think my boy Spartan is gonna have some big catches

Paul Walker

A piece of trivia I've always thought was crazy is Matthew and Woody have been good friends since the late 90s. Woody was excited to get to work with Matthew on such a long project not realizing during the "McConaissance" McConaughey had become a "method" actor. He got so fed up with him that most of the tension on the show between the characters was very real. But now they're good buddies again.
