I know I'm weeks late because I only watch the edited reactions but... I think you don't fully appreciate what the IRA is. Tommy and the Peaky Blinders are nothing compared to them. The PBs are local gangsters. The IRA is at war with the British Empire for the liberation of their country. There is no comparison there in terms of strength. For them, Tommy and his little gang are flies they can swat at will. That's why when they tell Tommy you are gonna work for us, he does it. Running a neighborhood gang is not in the same league as a rebel, terrorist, paramilitary organization. It's like thinking your little local mafia can square up against Hamas or Hezbollah. I know we all love Tommy but please realize the stakes.

He named the horse "Grace's Secret" because she was a spy when he fell in love with her. Tommy obviously can't move on from the past with Grace, so he named the horse after her.
