Round 2 - Vote for which one we will watch next

these 2 were tied in the last round, have the community sweating it out haha, let's see how this round goes

Comments

Kelschman

I'll definitely be cool with haunting of hill house, but it's a shame that band of brothers can't catch a break in going up against great shows lol

Farbod

Where is the Westworld button?!?

spartanandpudgey

Band of Brothers fans UNITE!!!! FOR THE GLORY OF THE REALM!!! - Spartan

Minerva Ravenclaw

Please Hill House, we've already lost "Dark"🥹 I promise Hill House is such an amazing series for reactions.

SuddenImpulse

Spartan stop trying to rig the poll. OUTTA HERE!!!

Traven Sweetsir

Hill house is one of the greatest mini series oat

Retrograde69

Hill House is so good! Let's go!

Franky E

I think hill house will be a great litmus test for the genre tbh

Fonzee

For the love of God please pick Band of Brothers...

Paul

I haven't seen either show, but a horror series is most appealing to me entering into the spooky months soon.

Cody Sutton

There are both so good. But Band of Brothers may be the best season of tv ever.

Cody Sutton

You should really do BOB first and then do Haunting closer to Halloween

Farbod

For all the people not sure what to vote for... Just imagine Spartan getting jumped scared over and over... There, you have your choice ;)

Voilturez

If it isn’t Band of Brothers I will lose faith in humanity.

midothegreat

Haven't seen both, but I'm voting Band of Brothers because there will be someone who will lose hope for humanity if it doesn't get picked.

Brandon

I am shocked BoB isn’t winning 😱 This is a 10/10 show for me.

Kale

Of the two I have only seen BoB, according to reviews both are amazing in their own regard. I am personally not a big fan of horror movies but remember to keep an open mind!

Alissa

Haunting of Hill house is soooo good

Danny

HOHH. Hope Westworld win next time they would love it

A.D

HOHH is a must! Its not what you will expect at all!

TT

Where all the Brothers at?! We must form a Band and cast HoHH back into the fiery chasm from whence it came!

Choux D Bruxelles

Band of Brothers is a great series and based on true testimonials from WWII veterans, a must-see.

Kairos
>>145154570

I think it also has to do with there is a large part of community that wants to watch anything but ww2 stuff, which is fair enough, but it keeps people locked on a certain choice for weeks.

Jacob Machado
>>145155070

Wait what? Why does Spartan want Band of Brothers so badly? I’m genuinely curious lol. Is it just because of what you’ve heard about the show?

Jacob Machado

Wouldn’t it be entertaining to see them react to scary stuff? Haunting of Hill House c’mon!!!!

Jacob Machado
>>145155396

If it’s genuinely bothering u that people are “trying to dictate” the polls, then shouldn’t u keep the same energy with Spartan encouraging people to vote for BoB?

KP

Haunting of Hill House is something fun different and fresh for the channel. Please vote 🥳

PastaDon

I'm happy, even if I lose, I still win!! Alright off to work, have a good day people!!

Murshete
>>145160800

The things thts so different about HoHH compared to others in the horror genre is its so story driven with very little jump scares

Omar Cornelio

Emmy nominated show like band of brothers cmon now ppl

Reaction Junkie
>>145155070

Haha well on that sentiment we should also start The Last Kingdom, since Spartan has made it clear that he really wants to watch it. I will switch my vote from HoHH to BoB if we get to start TLK. Deal?! haha jk jk But I can dream =)

Ali S.

HOHH is top tier.

Hira Memon
>>145155070

Sometimes you gotta trust what people are telling you. HoHH is a masterpiece, it deserves enthusiasm.

Spag

Hill House is just god tier filmmaking. BoB is a classic but honestly I think S&P have already seen the best WW2 content (Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan). Will definitely tune in for both but hoping HH holds on - feels like a good time for a genre change and it will likely hit YouTube at the perfect time for Halloween viewership

JonSnow21
>>145159755

Hill house is genuinely better imo and I love ww2 stuff.. Hell I advocated for Schindler’s list more than anyone probably.

Guy-on-Couch

Watch Ghost shit around Halloween not in August :-)

nezudev

Yay. War shows are overrated imo.

Noah Catalino

Oooh Band of Brothers, maybe next time (think I’ve said this the past 3 polls) 🥲🥲

Noah Catalino
>>145155070

Just make the executive decision and watch BoB after Hill House 😎🙏🏻 it’s gotten second in like the last 3 polls, it deserves it!

John Neiberger

I've never seen HOHH and never had anyone recommend it to me. I didn't think I've ever even seen someone talking about. I didn't realize it was so highly recommended. I might have to check it out.

A.D
>>145191147

Allow me to be the first! Its veryyyyyyy good!!! Go in with zero expectations, it will surprise you!

David Cansler

My pick didn't win so I'm taking my vote and going home 😂

Reaction Junkie
>>145191147

I wish I was able to watch HoHH again for the first time. You have such an amazing experience ahead of you if you give it a try. You won't regret it. This coming from someone who does NOT like horror genre or so I thought lol this series changed my attitude toward the genre. It really is a masterpiece.

Ashley
>>145191147

It's a very good show. I wouldn't consider myself a fan of the horror genre but I think the show is more family drama/suspense than horror. Very good writing, acting, and production value. Definitely worth the watch IMO

Lara Amaro
>>145191147

It's very good. The story is great, yes it's a horror series but it's more than just that. I love it, and I'm picky with my series lol

Lara Amaro
>>145159092

I dunno, people say that about True Detective and I was so disappointed by it.

lina

band of brothers is really good. but i think hohh is something different and interesting like a mystery

Javinator

Band of Brothers ON TOP

Brie

Por qué no los dos? 🥺

Pave Low

Brothers, let's band together

Pelle

(The following post was not made maliciously just in jest - so please don’t take offense) I’ve never watched BoB yet I’ve still observed that fans of it are insufferably egotistical about the series superiority over any other series. I’m sure it’s amazing but HoHH is a modern masterpiece that transcends the typical horror genre. So there. (Blows a raspberry)

Fonzee
>>145228756

I don't know if the community is so young that BoB came out before they were born or what. But without spoiling it, BoB is required viewing and is more than just " a WW2 show"

SuddenImpulse
>>145184679

No guarantee it will win next time, in which case we'd end up getting spooky show closer to...Christmas than Halloween. Got to vote on current situation.

SuddenImpulse
>>145154672

I'm part of why its on the poll to begin with! the westworld vote changed 1% after my post.

SuddenImpulse
>>145155070

@Shellbot I'm paying for these reaction videos+early access for MY entertainment though :P

SuddenImpulse
>>145155396

its a joke people lmao. People need to work on their social skills. Spartan and us are constantly bantering in the discord like this.

SuddenImpulse
>>145159128

No gaurantee it will win the next poll. If it loses, then we will be watching closer to Christmas than Halloween. I'd rather take the chance to vote now for it, because BoB is a big hit that will almost certainly win next time, its almost won each time. HoHH isn't likely to be as consistently competetive and people have waited 2 years for it to be on a poll, so I wanna help them out and also give some extra variety (a genre thats completely new) to the channel since we just watched several WW2 reactions. That is just my personal thought process. Absolutely understand people voting for BoB though. If HoH wasn't its competitor I'd do the same.

SuddenImpulse
>>145161395

@Guy-on-Couch please be respectful to other peoples voting decisions. This is a basic and core rule within the community. Disagreeing is fine but lets be nice.

Tommy Masters

The Haunting of Hill House please. It's literally a masterpiece.

Alex

Saying HoHH is a masterpiece like BoB is not one of the greatest ww2 pieces of media.

J G
>>145228756

I voted for BoB and i'ts one of my absolute favorites, but i admit i've observed the same thing. It feels similar to when Schindler's list was on the polls and kept losing

Apotheosis

Haunting of Hill House is better because it's based off of real events.

AvatarJordy

No way Band of Brothers loses again 😒

Sasha

Westworld fans.. let's try again next time.

Minerva Ravenclaw
>>145159755

Have you seen Hill House? Because it's a masterclass Series. Cinematography, direction, acting, soundtrack and story are just 🤌🏻

Jon Pushes Buttons

I’ve rewatched both series several times. Not a bad choice with either winner. (Though HoHH resonates personally way more)

D.

Let’s go Hill House!!!

Liam Usery
>>145236741

How much ww2 content do you need, so is the 800 other movies and series about that time, shits 80 years old

Brian Thompson
>>145240946

Band if brothers literally has the real people that lived the events before each episode.

Brandon

BoB is a 10/10 show for me

Hira Memon

So when can we expect HoHH episode 1? 😄😄

George

Please people BOB is the greatest show of all time

Nikola Bucalo

The Haunting of Hill House, while celebrated, I still feel like is criminally under appreciated. Can't wait for you guys to dive in.

Ripo

Are you planning on watching Better Call Saul ?? you finished Breaking Bad and I feel Better call saul is an amazing show also, I'm sure you would totally love it

Guy-on-Couch
>>145236741

how much Haunted content do you need, so is the 800 other movies and series about that, shits fake

SuddenImpulse
>>145244245

its a very highly rated and watched series, but its your money and time so you of course can do whatever you like, we aren't going anywhere if they watch something that piques your interest in the future =)

Guy-on-Couch

one series was nominated for 16 emmys and won 7...the other wasn't even nominated in 1 category....I see a lot of people throwing the word masterpiece around but I know which series is better and Spartan will as well after watching both of these shows

Morgan Payne

Man, BoB is rated one of the top 5 TV shows of all time. HOHH is good but it's not even in the same ball park, I'm shocked the poll is this close.

A.D
>>145339884

Notice how you said "after watching both" - like, they're going to watch both... you do know that right? Why is this life or death to you? And since when has horror ever been favoured in Hollywood award shows, this isn't the big revelation I think you think it is. They have reacted to plenty of wartime stories as of late, I don't think pausing it for one 10 ep miniseries is going to hurt. Expand your horizons a little, give it a chance. If you already have, cool! BoB will be a great next watch.

Guy-on-Couch
>>145339884

Yea, you're right, Hollywood doesn't like horror. The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby, both Academy Award winning films..What about Misery? American Werewolf in London? Jaws? Alien? All Academy Awards...and it's not life or death because I don't give a crap. I just won't watch those reactions. I'll wait till they watch something I like...

SuddenImpulse
>>145342708

I honestly think its 3 things: 1. Quite a few people in the community have been asking for this on patreon, youtube, discord, since way back when the channel first grew a bunch with House of Dragon season 1. So quite a lot of people I think in the community have been patiently waiting a long time. 2. Fall is sarting to get in gear 3. Its a brand new genre for them reaction wise, so it would be a fresh and unique experience for them and the channel 4. They've watch multiple WW2 related things recently so there may be some mild fatigue and people may want to mix it up a little first before going into another one. I was a bit surprised myself but unless something crazy happens BoB should be a shoe-in next time.

Katie Thomas

I think, personally, these two are such different genres that it’s a little weird to me to pick between the two (though I do get it’s because they’re both short series). I think y’all will enjoy BoB more, but at the end of the day, as long as I can watch you watch it at some point, it doesn’t matter

A.D
>>145339884

You sound like you absolutely do but.. I simply figured the waiting for something you liked would involve more of the waiting and watching the thing you like. Less of the uproar at which is better or whatever. The most recent horror you mentioned was in 1990 by the way, a near 35 years ago - not to mention are all movies. However, being a history buff I assume, you're probably aware that times definitely change. Regardless, BoB will be worth the wait I'm sure and I hope you enjoy it when it comes very soon. Because it will be very soon lol

F.O.T. Snax (Michelle)
>>145236741

You are unnecessarily confrontational in all of these threads. You know you can just choose not to watch something if YOU don’t like it. How old are you?

F.O.T. Snax (Michelle)
>>145228756

There is not one single comment attacking the quality of BOB or judging the people who watch it just for watching or liking it.

Alex
>>145236741

If the confrontation bothers you, there’s always the option of sitting back and not participating in the chat. A little supporting of one’s preference and banter is harmless.

Allaiya

I haven’t finished BoB yet so I picked HoHH by default

Cody Sutton
>>145159092

Yeah I mean it’s entertainment, it’s definitely subjective, so probably not your cup of tea. I didn’t love Sopranos like everyone else did so I get it. But it’s clear Sopranos is well done, surely you can see that in TD and BOB.

Cody Sutton
>>145159128

Yeah I understand. I love Haunting so no arguments from me. I was thinking more from Spartan and Pudgeys perspective about timing for Halloween content.

Guy-on-Couch
>>145339884

I picked random famous named things, I didn't know I needed ones more recent how about American Horror Story Murder House, AHS Coven, How about AHS Asylum. Is 2011-2014 recent enough? oh and they're shows too...all nominated for many awards and won a bunch too...Dahmer was nominated a bunch, that was from a year or two ago...Plenty of horror shows/movies get recognized if they're good enough...I'll say it again, if you like it great, good for you, I'm happy you like it. I'm just stating facts. 1 of the shows won awards and the other didn't. If that upsets anyone, well that's their issue not mine

Guy-on-Couch
>>145236741

I'm not confrontational...I said the exact same thing this person just said back to them...Are they confrontational too? I'm replying to peoples comments. I've not attacked anyone verbally unless attacked first. Like you calling me insufferable, why because I'm calling a show you like crap? Is that what you do when someone disagrees with you, you start throwing insults? That tells me all I need to know about the type of person you are. You're the second person to throw insults unwarranted just because I called that show crap.

Guy-on-Couch
>>145161395

that's my opinion, I'm not insulting anyone for liking the show. Unlike other people insulting me, Have you issued them warnings too? or is it just me?

A.D
>>145339884

This conversation began literally because you were upset Emmy award didnt guarantee a show they like got reacted to before another one.. apparently this is an issue that you wanted to raise. Although I do recommend forming your own opinion of things than that of a select group of Emmy voters, because, as you can see in the polls, they're not everything to everyone. It really wasn't that big of a deal. Like, its a reaction channel. its going to be reacted to lol. Its not worth all your tears or anger. Again, I hope you enjoy BoB reactions, you won't be waiting much longer.

Hira Memon
>>145236741

It’s the way you talk to people. Comes across as ‘I cannot believe other people (majority) do not want what I want and I will not accept that’. It’s just a show, they will eventually watch it but I think it’s evident from the poll results what majority of their fans want right now. I asked for HoHH earlier this year, didn’t happen and that was fine.

F.O.T. Snax (Michelle)
>>145236741

EXACTLY. I don’t care if people have different opinions than me on art. It’s subjective, that’s always going to happen. Plenty of other people in here that want BOB instead are being respectful. It’s your tone, Guy. You said in another reply that you just won’t watch, and that’s perfectly fine. If you’d just leave it at that without the “crap” comments, I’d have no beef with you. It’s the condescending way you voice the opinion you’re definitely allowed to have.

Jon Pushes Buttons
>>145228756

I think some people might just be scared of g-g-g-ghosts. /s BoB IS great. (And it checks all the boxes it needs to check for a story about the European theater) HoHH is ALSO great (And it checks all of the spooky boxes, but surprises the viewer by ALSO telling a beautiful and tragic story about grief)

Ghostcat

haunting is so good!

Ghostcat
>>145264315

october is not a big time for aussies, we don't really care about halloween

Erdanxela

can't wait to see you react to horror

Jenna

hill house omggggg

K

Will we get a new poll for what comes after True Detective?

chriztianrox

Wow. Shocked this isn't overwhelmingly for Band of Brothers. Arguably the greatest 1 season of TV ever.

Mike
>>145724118

isnt that this poll? cause True Detective was a short series wasnt it?

K
>>145724118

Yeah, I thought we are supposed to have two short series running at the same time. The winner of this poll and True Detective for a while, but something might replace TD in a few weeks?

Jacob Machado
>>145746036

Hill House definitely seems more intriguing for a reaction than Band of Brothers does though. That could be a big reason. Not to mention that Hill House is a very highly regarded show as well.
