I think Tropic Thunder is overrated. I enjoyed Knives Out a lot more. But its nice getting some comedy either way.

Tropic Thunder was one of the best things to happen to 2008. With it already being a shit year, this blockbuster hit was hilarious to watch. RDJ got an oscar nomination for best supporting role, lol but this movie never fails to make me laugh every time I watch it. It's a desert island movie for sure.

Not sure if S&P are going to fully get the satire of a stereotypical Vietnam war film if they’ve never seen a serious one before. Also a lot of jokes many ppl find offensive… I honestly don’t know if they’re going to like Tropic Thunder.

Considering i posted this very late on the other post ill just drop it here again hoping you guys consider adding more variety to the type of comedy you put on the poll. I believe pretty much all the movies on the poll fall into the same type of comedy so here are some suggestions. 100% most jokes in it are very meta, you need to have some prior knowledge to get them, not only of the context but also the actors behind it and what their usual dynamics are. I really dont think its a good for S&P

Tropic Thunder is hilarious. S&P are grown adults, I think they’ll get the satire. I honestly didn’t find knives out that funny.

Cmon man , Knives out is clearly the superior film like I get Tropic Thunder is a classic but it’s not close to as good or even as reaction worthy for that matter.

I think comparing these films is apples and oranges to be honest. Tropic Thunder is a straight up comedy, it’s not meant to be taken serious in any way. These films are just different. Tropic Thunder is much funnier than knives out (my opinion) but that’s all it has going for it; however, that’s all it’s meant to be lol. Knives out is a multifaceted film that has drama, suspense and some comedy. Knives out is a legit full on movie, whereas Tropic Thunder is just for laughs, nothing more. I respect your opinion though, and even agree that knives out is a better overall movie. I was genuinely delighted to see how kind and respectful you are. Thats a relief in the world we live today.

I enjoyed ”Knives Out” well enough, but I love ”Tropic Thunder”. Honestly though, trying to guess what S&P will find funnier is impossible for any of us, so I think they should go with whichever one wins the poll. Maybe you guys should start going with watching the two top pics from each movie round (but obv the poll winner first). I feel like I keep seeing people coming down on the movie that isn’t their own pick each poll, and maybe they’d feel less need to do so if both get watched. Just a suggestion.

IN MY OPINION, Tropic thunder is a funnier movie. Knives out is the better movie if you’re also looking for a little drama and mystery.

Daniel Craig. Funnily enough Daniel Craig said that he was "terrified" about doing Benoit Blanc's accent in "Knives Out." In the film, Craig has a strong Southern accent to fit his character. He said on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast that he was incredibly nervous to do it in front of the cast.

Do them both plz. Tropic thunder in my top 20 comedies, for robert downing jr’s role alone it’s worth the watch. And knives out one of the best who done it’s in the past 15 years great movie
