Brian Thompson

It is Robert Downey Jr in blackface.

Jonathanese

One of the most absurd movies I've watched. hahaha. I'm not much for Ben Stiller, but this movie was fun partially because of how much it was just a giant piss-take. But yeah it didn't ruffle as many feathers as you would expect. RDJ's role was pretty well-received as far as I remember. And yeah, you have to rewatch some of the RDJ scenes and Tom Cruise scenes knowing the actors now, because some of the comedy came from that alone.

Kevin DiSalvo

"Why would you be watching a scary movie right now" as he watches Star Trek. I laughed out loud

josh york

we love Pudgey cracking up. keep the comedies coming!

MGCR

Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python Life of Brian, Robin Hood Men in Tights, Spaceballs. All comedies that everyone should watch.

Jeff

One of the great comedies

BigTim86

This movie is great; glad you understood the actors by the end. RDJ and Tom Cruise in particular, make this movie go to another level. Pudgey def understood the movie and took it for what it was; Spartan had a good understanding by the end, and I appreciate his breakdown in comedies nowadays being afraid to offend.

Funny part is, not a single black person was mad at Robert Downey cause he played the roll so well, so much so, someone put Downey in a picture with the greatest black actors as a joke. lmao.

Marcus Carter

I have to agree with Spartan, this movie was made during a better time for comedy, nobody took things too seriously until woke Hollywood. I'm not sure anyone got upset about this movie, if there were, I haven't seen it. Great movie!

Luke

Check out "There's Something About Mary". Stars Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz

Rich Plumb

Hey I just thought of one to add to the comedy list, Superbad

Rich Plumb

RDJ was nominated for an Oscar for this. Heath Ledger beat him.

Ksenia

Spartan I’m with you on some of the more absurd bits not hitting as well. I think you would love Death at a Funeral, the OG Brit version w Peter Dinklage. Even if you guys don’t watch to react, you can watch to enjoy🫶

Cal

Pudgey's laughing cracks me up, she is nuts lmao especially on the Hugh Jackman bit.

Colin Ryan

You guys should watch The Interview with Seth Rogen and James Franco!

Jay

Superbad, Hangover and Step Brothers are the best comedies I’ve seen

Jay

Pudgey is right about meet the Fockers but I would recommend meet the parents first

Malorie

I think if you prefer dramatic Matthew McConaughey you might like Dallas Buyers Club. He won a TON of awards for it.

lewisdr dj

That was fun to watch lol

Anthony Cortellessa

Robert Downey Jr actor character Kirk Lazarus Aussie portrayal I think is to reflect Russell Crowe’s persona

Sasha

We need RUSH HOUR on the next poll

When did y'all receive new programming? Everyone started saying stay woke and got stupid, so the term to me mean stupidity, ironically, the same type of people who invented the term are now saying the same exact thing, no joke! "I CaN't TaKe AnYoNe ThAt UsEs ThE WoRd WoKe SeRiOuSlY" literally the same sentence verbatim... and y'all created it, but now that people use it as a negative term you're all saying the same sentence like that means something, get lost clown and go cut yourself cause that's what y'all do right? I can't take anyone serious that drops that sentence.

K

Yes, rush hour

Robin Lee Melendez

I second the recommendation for the Hangover movies, they're HILARIOUS. Also Anchorman & Talladega Nights are absolute bangers. Every other scene is a meme

i wheezed so hard on that moments like that is the reason I watch them lol

It's an iconic performance from for sure but Heath wasn't a slouch either

Jamie Foxx said that he was invited to RDJ's birthday party and his first joke was "How dare you take these jobs away from black people" Nobody cared, its comedy and it was fun. RDJ killed it. That being said, this movie would be impossible to make today.

This is a great movie and a lot of fun. It pokes fun at a lot of war movies and tropes, at Hollywood and the industry in general. Really good satire of the highest quality with a really loaded cast. I mean Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey as supporting actors is not something you normally see in movies. We were watching it in a cinema and the movie just rolls in after we've watched a few trailers and we were sitting there watching the beginning of the movie and we go wtf these trailers are weird what are these movies? It was perfect, we've got baited so hard. That moment with Hugh Jackman was priceless, I'm still recovering. Thanks guys. :)
