final round, lets go!

Comments

Oliver

I just watched spiderman, please up win😫

Eduardo

spiderverse 🙏🙏🙏

Pablo

Nah man UP is just a very good 10 minute shortfilm followed up by a mid movie

Carter Rowe

Spider verse 1 Up Spider verse 2

Kevin Bandy

UP because I've never seen the other one

MGCR

I haven't even seen either of the Spiderverse movies and I already know Up is better.

Farbod

Can I vote for you to skip this category?

Cody DeCraeke
>>147567829

Also hard disagree. Very good movie. Thats like saying Spiderverse is an animation circlejerk disguised as a mid movie. Both are good, Up is better

Xan

I would rather not vote lol

nezudev

Up!!! Marvel stuff is wayyyyy over done everywhere

Hannah Walker

UP, UP, UP, UP, UP, UP, UP 🤞🏻😁

Daniel

I'm not personally interested in either of these, but I voted Up because it's the only one I've seen. I've heard copyright can be rough for Ghibli films but Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away would be cool. Your Name has colorful illustration and some emotional moments.

TokyoLopez

Whichever wins, I win mwhahahaha

Allaiya

I voted UP!

MJ Eid

When you have the power to pick a movie I can move it to 50-50 or 49-51

MJ Eid

THE POWER!!!!!!

dieselbeast

Idk what Spartan and pudgey see on their end but that's why with polls I prefer the actual number of votes not the percentage, cause its fifty/fifty currently with 323 votes lol we don't know whos winning

Emmy

Spiderman is so good. If you haven't seen it, i think you should give it a chance. I am not a big fan of animated content, but I gave it a try and the story writing is amazing. The animation itself was groundbreaking when it came out also.

Dom Parkinson

Up will have Pudgey in bits. So I’ve obviously voted for that.

Farbod

Everyone vote for UP so we can move on from this category in one week instead of two.

Amar

Up is a good animation but Spiderverse is a top tier animation. It created a whole new style of it's own.

SuddenImpulse

Someone convince me Up is better than Spiderverse after the first 20 mins of UP and ill vote for it instead

nezudev
>>147570247

But Spiderman is part of the Marvel universe yeah? I should have just said 'super hero' movies in general. If you've seen a couple of them you've seen them all.

Javinator

I like UP but it doesn't even touch Spiderverse

MrGuy3000

Up HARD carried by the beginning

Madison

Up is such a sweet film! Pudgey will be in tearsss

SuddenImpulse
>>147570247

I think if you actually watch it. i bet youd take back that last statement . It won many awards and overwhelming critic and audience praise for a reason and the illustration method is very impressive. not really same type of thing as those others. But I respect it if Up is more your preference .

dieselbeast

Non related to this poll, but random question I know TROY is on your radar Spartan and Pudgey and y'all did a poll asking which one to potentially watch theatrical or directors, theatrical won, I was simply wondering how soon or not soon y'all will watch that, if y'all decide to watch it?! 😁🤔😊

Justin Urameshi

We play a dangerous game here with these polls. And I’m totally here for it 😂

dieselbeast
>>147581299

Oh Lord, while I appreciate that it's on y'all's radar, for whatever reason my fellow patrons haven't been voting for it as much as I would like, (they have voted for it enough get it on y'all's radar and i hope eventually one day that's enough to win) it's unfortunate, cause I know you love 300 and I would be curious to see your thoughts on TROY, I'm not saying it's better, and I know a lot of my fellow patrons can gang up on me and say "No 300 is way better" etc but at the end of the day you have to make your own opinion, trust me if you never watch TROY it would be a travesty knowing how much you love ancient war films 🙏im telling you it would be an easy 100k-200k views on YouTube

Riolkin

These polls keep ending up 50/50, so funny to me. Both of these movies, so dang good. Looking forward to this

Leo
>>147581299

Then it should win an easy 100k-200k votes right? No bother if everyone wants to see Troy, everyone will vote for it

Leo
>>147568995

Why say something if it has to be negative - I think it's fairly obvious this category will be in rotation, is there really a need to make cringey comments about how it's not to your taste?

dieselbeast
>>147581299

My fault I meant to say 100k-200k views on YouTube, Spartan and pudgey do not have 100k patrons lol they have way more YT subscribers

Kale

Spartan and Pudgey are going to start thinking we have a secret discord of our own where we conspire to get two movies out of one poll 😂

TT

I am Up-voting this poll

BigTim86

Wow, surprised to see this as close as it is; in a positive way. All very good movies, just expected Spiderverse to steal this one. But, I am pulling for Up.

Aeldrysss

UP is such overrated.

Joe Robinson

I dont even wanna drop my opinion on UP as I'd sound so negative. The intro is great, arcs are cool, visually lovely. Spiderverse though? phoooo, yeah. I can rewatch up a few times but I would happily watch spiderverse once a month

TallTyrionLannister

Genuinely shocked at this poll. UP is a fun movie to watch with my kids. Still doesn’t even compare to the sheer awesomeness that is ITSV

Tingeling

I’m really sad to see so much negativity in these polls. I voted for ”Up” because I love that movie, but I don’t need to disparage ”Spiderverse”. If it wins, it wins, and frankly I would prefer if Spartan and Pudgey enjoy the movie they end up watching, whichever one it may be. Besides, I don’t think they’re going to go with the movie that loses the poll just because it was dissed in the comments. If a film ends up winning then clearly a lot of people enjoy it and want to see a reaction to it. So to end on a more positive note, five suggestions for films to watch/ put on polls: ”Tombstone” (western) ”Pride and Prejudice” (drama/romance) ”Atonement” (drama) ”Airplane” (comedy) ”Little Women” 2019 (drama)

Oliver
>>147567966

I voted up but i highly recomend watching both into the spiderverse movies:)

AvatarJordy

Up is good but Into the Spiderverse is THE greatest animated film ever made. What are you people smoking

SuddenImpulse
>>147568380

great argument. I've at least seen both lol. saying is unquestionably better when you've only seen 1 destroys any intellectual credibility or integrity a person may have. Its 100% fine if you like Up more, but that original statement makes no sense logically. You cannot adequately judge something you haven't witnessed/experienced, media wise.

Apotheosis

Voting for Up just because it's not super hero related.

Pablo
>>147578509

Thats because no one even cares what happens in that movie past the opening scene

Pablo

No way UP is really winning this one, shame

Jon Pushes Buttons

Spider verse 1&2 > anything Pixar released after Wall-E (yes, that includes Up)

Jon Pushes Buttons
>>147567829

Up has fans because it proves that if your first reel is solid (the first 10-15 minutes) you can coast on that energy until you roll credits. Where as Spiderverse doesn’t just rest on the ground breaking art direction, but it treats the growth of its characters with care and respect while also telling what could be a “I’ve seen this a hundred times” hero’s journey and elevates it above the bloated super hero genre of the last 15 years into something unique and beautiful to watch over and over.

Owen Hargrave

Up is a good 10-20 minutes and that’s it. I don’t want to come across as negative or try influence Spartan and Pudgey but UP is a film that can easily be watched in spare time, I think it’s taking a spot from two very well written films. Just my opinion but both Spidermen have more substance and are better overall films for me personally.

Pave Low

Voted up just to annoy Sudden and Spiderverse enjoyers because they are in pain seeing it lose

MadeByMali

You all have robbed us

MadeByMali

Cant believe yall really voted Up over the spiderverse series

Q

UP ? Over the spider-verse? There’s no way 😂 robbery 😂

Paul De'Armond

UP will get you more clicks on Youtube, but Spiderman is probably more up your alley for entertainment. (Peter Parker will forever be the only true Spiderman and Toby Maguire will forever be the only true Peter Parker)

Matt

Up is an overrated kid's movie. Into The Spiderverse is an actual Film.

Kurt G
>>147765576

You sound like a crying little kid yet you say its a kids movie as a reason for it being bad? Quite ironic. Spiderman smashed the votes also. if it doesnt win this time it will most likely win next time. Take a chill pill

Corey Herman

Serial whingers 🤣, be patient sure they’ll end up watching what you all want!

Kale
>>147592371

Hey! Stop trying to ratio my comment with your emojis!

Matt
>>147765576

2 sentences my man. I think you’re imparting way more onto my comments than are actually there.

Jasper
>>147765576

Cause you're comment makes no sense. I'll fix it for you: Up is a fantastic kid's movie. Into The Spiderverse is an overrated kid's movie.

SuddenImpulse
>>147782765

I think its not about that for some of them but rather that they want to maximize content they enjoy during their paid period. Many people only patreon for a month or two, or can't afford to do it consistently, so they want to get the most bang for their buck each time.

SuddenImpulse
>>147765576

Re: Jasper "The overall target audience for the campaign is people that fall into the 16–26 age range. This platform's target demographic is users in the 16–24 age range, which makes for a perfect platform for us to reach most of our target audience." Its a coming of age story, and also deals with tons of things that are most often dealt with by teenagers and young adults. All you have to do is use google. Have you not read a single interview by anyone that made this film before speaking on it so authoritatively?

Matt
>>147765576

We’re captive to the shitty Patreon comments system. My response wasn’t to you, it was to Kurt. Sorry to insult the kids movie you like so much. If you don’t dive deep into film that’s fine. But Up! Is a kids movie. Its filmmaking is completely straightforward. Basic story, basic animation. Into The Spiderverse is not. As an example, when the Myles Morales character is learning to use his “Spider-Man” powers, he’s animated on the 2’s (12 frames per second) as opposed to the actual Spider-Man who is animated on the 1’s (24 frames per second) so he appears less fluid vs Spider-Man. Then after the turning point in his story he’s animated on the 1’s. It’s just a much more interesting composition filmically.

Jasper
>>147765576

@suddenimpulse by that logic Up is also not a kids film, which is the entire point of my original comment. Both are movies who target kids, which at the same time portray adult issues.

SuddenImpulse
>>147765576

@Jasper No Spiderverse quite literally did not target kids, it targetted teens and young adults. There are quite literally years worth of interviews and quotes to back this up. Confused why you are just ignoring that part of my comment and doubling down. Either way, its neither here nor there in the grand scheme. I don't think Up is a kids film, but I think its generally geared towards a younger audience than the other, but nothing wrong with that. I think this entire convo (across all the comments on this poll, not this one specifically) are silly and overly simplistic tbh. People are being unfair to both of these films. I personally think Up isn't that great after the first part, but I understand why people love it or prefer it to Spiderverse and I realize that peoples interpretation of that is going to be subjective, mine included.

Pablo
>>147765576

@nathan agree, but the rest of the film is definitely not

Kurt G
>>147765576

No im looking at exactly what is in your comment and nothing else. You see that your choice of the two movies is losing, you decide to get angry about that and try a childish attempt at calling it bad by saying its overrated and for kids. Therefore its ironic to shame something for having a more child friendly target audience while acting like a small child yourself. An opposing opinion is fine, acting like a baby about it... Kinda cringe @Matt

Matt
>>147765576

There’s no crying, no acting like a small child. No getting angry. lol I never even called it bad. It’s overrated. You take away the first 10 or so minutes and it’s just an average kids movie with talking animals. The beginning is exceptional. It should be a short film. But after that it’s average at best.

thank u next

Yep, UP is taking it 🔥 That pixar vote was split in the overall poll. Next up, Incredibles 🙏
