Eli Wilson

Caesar salad is my favorite.

Alex Ocean

LFG Planet of the Apes 🗣️ 🗣️ 🗣️ 🗣️ 🗣️

BluePanda

Iconic movie series, versus monkey movies.

Angel M

APES TOGETHER, STRONG.

Paul

Dinosaurs > Apes, lets me real folks.

Farbod

Some people are really sadistic. Forcing those Ape films on S&P… For Shame!!!

BluePanda

Apes 1 was directed by Rupert Wyatt. Has never won an award for anything. JP was directed by who? Ah right, STEVEN SPIELBERG.

Pablo

Apes ngl. I get that almost all the other franchises had 1 or 2 movies that are pretty much perfect (alien, aliens, T2, JP1, IJ3 BttF2) but all of them have at least one that is trash maybe even two. Whereas Planet of the Apes i think is the only one that is pretty solid all the way, not perfect but it doesn't have one movie that is straight up bad.

Pablo
>>149556853

Nah, they are solid. Well directed and acted action movies. Also they are pretty epic and modern so I think spartan will like them. Do you really want to watch Jurassic Park 2 and 3? Come on

Kevin Bandy

the first Jurassic Park is a must see but not the other 2 of that trilogy. And then Jurassic World is excellent but not the subsequent 2 of that trilogy. Apes is much better overall IMO. I voted Apes. Looks like it's going to lose at this point lol

Dale Tucker

Man I like monkeys and I like dinos equally. Imma go and pick my childhood favorite. Jurassic Park it is!

Daniel

Can't believe yall voted these over terminator, which tbh it's sad

Farbod
>>149556853

2 isn’t bad. I just think the Ape films are extremely boring. Especially after the first one.

Pablo
>>149557042

100% people want to watch the first Jurassic Park but then we'll get stuck for 2 weeks with the second and third movie which are meh at best

Kevin Bandy
>>149557042

Agreed. IMO, reactions to the 2nd and 3rd of the first trilogy is not worth it. We don't get that many movies as it is (once a week at most - which is what I'm mostly here for). I think the 1st Jurassic Park and then the 1st Jurassic World would be cool. Those 2 are the best movies in the entire Jurassic Park/World franchise. The newer Apes series is definitely better overall IMO.

Pablo
>>149556853

1 is really good character work, Ceasar is an amazing character. And then the sequels are action movies yes but I don't think they are boring at all. They were directed by Matt Reeves who did The Batman and for what I've heard, they liked that movie. The action and the vfx are pretty good which are basically the reason someone would watch the jurassic park movies lol except the sequels are way better than the JP sequels

Pablo
>>149556827

Well if you are the guy giving away the awards then yeah you probably are gonna get a lot of them

Alexander

This is honestly tough

Alexander

Should just do both tbh 😂

Pablo
>>149557042

@ashleep not even close to meh movies. They are very well directed and they know what they are: action movies. They have one job and they do it well. I think they are very solid overall

SuddenImpulse
>>149557042

I tried to get JW1 slotted in instead of JW3 but what can ya do. I guess we will see how S&P feel about 2 & 3 when the time comes. JW1 can always get added as a solo movie later, I agree JW 2 and 3 aren't worth it.

Dale Tucker
>>149557105

Taste in media is subjective bro. I personally would have liked the Alien movies the most but whatever. these are still great

AvatarJordy

The first Jurassic Park film is classic. But the whole Planet of the Apes trilogy is a masterpiece.

Kevin Bandy
>>149557042

@SuddenImpulse I agree. IMO, what they should really do for this "movie series" if Jurassic wins, is to just to Jurassic Park 1, then Jurassic World 1. The rest of the movies in the franchise are just not worth reaction videos to IMO, especially for a young channel that has barely scratched the surface of movies to react to, on top of being a channel focusing on series over movies to begin with.

carl houlihan

How were Terminator and Alien beaten out by these movies, absolute classics and incredible movies. First Jurassic Park is amazing but PoTA is just modern or younger viewers haven't seen the other pics is my feel.

Paul De'Armond

It's a sad state of affairs that planet of the freaking apes beat out alien/Terminator/Indiana Jones..... Lmao Jurassic Park it is.

Jeff M

How about we compromise and you just watch the first movie in both series

Steven Enderley

with how divided the community is over apes and JP i feel like everyone would of been better off if Back to the Future won. All 3 of those movies are fun to watch and IMO dont have a dip in story telling like JP and how some people feel about the later apes movies. .

Steven Enderley
>>149560493

Will preface this by saying i havent seen the last 2 apes movies, pretty sure i only saw the first 2 so im just going off by what i see people saying about the franchise overall

taco man

I mean both but dinos over apes

Farbod
>>149560493

Aliens, Terminator, Indy, Karate Kid, and Back to the Future are all superior to these two. This community baffles me.

Lily

just the first jurassic park !!!

K

I love JP 3 in addition to JP 1&2, so my vote definitely goes to all three JP movies.

big harsher

so glad you guys are also watching Jurassic park 3

Nathan Cutter
>>149559490

Not really, nostalgia point of view maybe but planet of the apes films are incredible

Aaron Crawford

As much as the 2nd and 3rd Jurassic can be divisive it would be great to get the guys’ views on them, the ethical and moral questions that are raised sounds like a classic S&P discussion. It’s a trilogy that if they never experienced as kids should definitely watch now.

Farbod

The truth is that Jurassic Park 2 is average and Jurassic Park 3 is kind of ass... But that is the sacrifice we must make to push back the tide of mediocrity that is these Ape films...

Lyn Hurst

I saw the first Jurassic Park after I got laid off from a job lol. It was great and that job had sucked for awhile. So all around a good day.

Jay

Neither, Star Wars!!

Q

Why not just do JP 1 and POTA 1 ?

Owen Hargrave
>>149558321

as a trilogy if we're being real they're far better than Jurassic Park. The only reason Jurassic Park will and should win is cause the first films a classic.

Owen Hargrave
>>149583351

I'm starting to believe you love the apes films and are a superfan. I've counted 4 comments in this thread of you talking about them, relax yourself mate.

KP

Apes is more emotional

Max Martin

How I wish there was a skip option

Lyn Hurst

This is hysterical adults going ape shit over dinos or apes.

Pablo

Sadly a good movie series has lost to a good movie followed by a trash movie series. I checked the imdb scores for these, here they are in ranked order. JP1 : 8.2 PotA 1 : 7.6 PotA 2 : 7.6 PotA 3 : 7.4 PotA 4 : 6.9 JP2 : 6.6 JP3 : 5.9 So as you can see, PotA is a much stronger series of films overall and the JP series are just hype for the first one. Rip, we are gonna have to wait two weeks because of this.

Pablo
>>149583351

It really sounds like you haven't seen the PotA movies at all

Farbod
>>149583351

I've seen them... or as much as I could between falling asleep several times.

Farbod
>>149640601

The truth is neither of these should be the choice, but the Ape contingent needs to be taught a lesson for their actions subjugating us to such mediocrity in round one. It should have been either Alien or Terminator. For shame.

Pablo
>>149640601

I agree Alien should have been the one. It's the only one where every movie is pretty good, and if you take prometheus out basically every movie is a 10/10 but hey it wasn't gonna win no way.

Hank Scorpio

Jesus christ....I don't like either of these movies.... But if I HAVE to pick one I'll go with Jurassic Park.

Eli Wilson

I’m not understanding the hate on Apes or JP :(

SuddenImpulse
>>149640601

*YOU* are going to have to wait 2 weeks, theres 1200 people voting, theres more than that on this patreon. Do you speak for all 1200 people? For you, you will have to wait 2 weeks if JP wins because you like 1 of 3. Some people like 2 of the 3, some people like 3 of the 3. Some people like just 1 or 2 of the Apes films, some like all of them. Some like none of them, which means those people have to wait for 4 weeks. There are multiple comments not far below this one of people saying they are happy 2 and/or 3 are being watched. There are multiple comments lamenting JP, and multiple lamenting PotA, and some lamenting watching beyond PotA1 or JP1. This is not a complex concept to understand. This is why we have polls. Theres been a number of weeks where I had zero interest in the movie or movies that won. Other people were feeling the same way when I've had mine win. Just gotta deal and move forward. If you want to suggest which movies are in certain movie series sets, no one is stopping you or anyone from doing that, and that feedback is collected.

SuddenImpulse
>>149560493

Maybe, maybe not. Not everyone likes Back to the Future. Just like not everyone likes JP, Apes, Karate, Terminator, Alien etc.

SuddenImpulse
>>149559490

Has nothing to do with nostalgia imho. I do like the first 2 PotA though. Couldn't care less about the third thought it was very meh, haven't seen the newest.

SuddenImpulse
>>149558321

When people constantly present their personal subjective opinion as if its objective fact, you know thats a person you should not listen to. The reality is some people really like JP 2 and 3, some people don't like PoTA or only like the first one or two. Some people wanted just JP1 and JW1, some wanted JP1, JP2 and JW, some people wanted JP1-3 and JW1 as a standalone on another poll. Its complicated. S&P look at a LOT of variables when deciding which movies to put in a movie series. They look at how the reactions for each movie perform on youtube, they look at community demand, they sometimes get input from the mod team, they look at other things, and ultimately they decide what THEY think they would like to watch or how they want to set it up.

Steven Enderley
>>149560493

Very true, it just seems like most people agree that JP only has 1 good movie out of 3 which also includes the JW reboot series. I can't say anything about Apes bc I only saw the first 2 so I'm just going off what I see in the comments about people not being a fan of them either. So, it's quite the conundrum lol

AvatarJordy

So many haters in this community istg

JonSnow21
>>149556752

I would bet everything that S&P will prefer POTA films more than Jurassic Park, everything.

K

Let us maybe be a bit nicer in the comments :) Banter is IMO ok, but I think we can turn down the volume a teensy bit on the trashing, maybe?

Jeff
>>149663227

It’s quite bad, I never block people but there is at least one guy I’ve blocked in this community

Nate Terry

You can't be movie watchers without getting the classics out of the way. Jurassic park literally opened the gates to CGI as we know it today.

SuddenImpulse
>>149663227

The discord did get a bit bad for awhile but things have gotten cleaned up there. As far as here on patreon, its a bit hard to maintain since Patreon doesn't have mod tools. Best we can do is ask people to be nice, and we usually get one of 3 results depending on the person: 1. they follow through 2. They ignore it 3. They yell at me and say im trying to censor them and their free speech

Gumball watterson

awh damn i just joined I would’ve loved to see planet of the apes such a goated but silly storyline.

Gumball watterson
>>149752660

I get what you’re saying & yeah I guess better to get it out the way but damn I wanted to see them react to some talking apes😂.

Owen Nicholson
>>149645798

Obviously options are subjective but I personally feel like the POTA trilogy is one of the greatest of all time. Every movie hits home

Thomas Heap

when will star wars be chosen? 2 years asking for it and it hasnt even been put in any polls 😭😭

Nate Terry
>>149752660

My take is like this: if you get all your fav's picked on the polls right away, then what keeps you from staying along for the ride? I have plenty I want them to watch....I'm young, they're young...this is a years long investment.

Evan White
>>149752660

Agreed, for the most part, but the new Planet of the Apes are all great. Only the first Jurassic Park is on their level. The Lost World and III are bad, in comparison.

SuddenImpulse
>>149847441

Its drawing closer, keep your strength soldier. Its a huge commitment and a very big thing for any reaction channel, so they just want to make sure they have a good window to do it well and do it right. We have lots of SW fans in the community and mod team, you have not been forgotten. =)
