I really think that they (the front man and VIP's) wanted the glass to injure someone enough to make it hard for them to survive for the last game since only one person can win the money, only two people can play the last game. I think that Sang-woo was lightly sleeping so when Young went to the door and started yelling for help, it woke up Sang-woo. Young had an opportunity to kill Sang-woo and was going to until Sae-byeok said, "Don't do it. That's not you." I can understand the desperation to live, I see that but Sang-woo really disappointed me when he killed Sae-byeok, she was already dying their was no reason to extend that hurt by killing her himself (which is what "they" want) when Sang-woo already had Ali's death on his consciousness too. Young, Sae-byeok and Ali have/had people outside waiting for them, Sang-woo had a failed business, spent too much, and had large loans he also lost so he puts his Mom's shop and home up for collateral.

They weren't intentionally injuring them from the bridge game, they just crossed it as time ran out and when the timer expired it shatters the glass so anyone remaining on the bridge is eliminated. It wasnt intentionally injuring them for winning that game

When the brothers were on the cliff the cop in Korean says “hyung” which means brother, but the subtitles said the name of the brother instead “In ho”. So it probably would have been more clear if they decided to just have the subtitle say “brother” as the word generally means.

He did say "brother". Siblings in Korea don't refer to each other by name, they call each other brother or sister. A younger brother would call his older brother 형 (hyeong). It's also used between friends informally, when a younger friend addresses the older friend, similar to 'bro'. You will have heard Ali call Sang-Woo that too.

this is the only time sang woo REALLY pissed me off. the rest of the game he was just surviving. but this? nah pickpocket was literally already dying. sang woo did not have to kill her at all.
