---------------------------------------------------------------------------Full Length Reaction GuideWe take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

Farbod

Very excited.

A L

Nice. I've been looking forward to this all weekend.

Golladan

Oh Holden. Just casually announce to the whole system that Mars destroyed an ice hauler bringing water to Ceres.

TM2

I'm sure this will have no major reprecussions at all

Radek Nohejl

Best. It will grow up. It is just beginning :-)

AnastasiyaK

I’m so happy ya’ll are watching this with subtitles! You are catching important things that other reactors have missed! I love all the tension between the crew on the little shuttle as they fight to survive and also Shed saving Alex even though he was panicking so much earlier, such good character scenes! Also, the scar Julie has is on her chin, it’s hard to see but I think that’s the one they’re talking about. Can’t wait for more!!

TimTakDoh

The build up is rolling along. It's world building, set up and slow burn then the fun begins

Josh

Shohreh Aghdashloo is the woman with the husky voice. She plays a Quarian admiral in Mass Effect 2 and the leader of the FWC that betrays the Last City in Destiny 1 and 2. Her voice is iconic.

Bill B.

She also had a pretty big role in one season of 24. Can never forget that voice!

Bill B.

James Holden, Amos Burton, Naomi, Alex, and Shed. The last three I’m not sure their last names have been introduced yet. Don’t know if Amos’ was spoken or in subtitles but it was printed on his helmet. And the detective on Ceres is Miller.

Lindsay Mathieson

Cliff hangers! Did anyone mention The Expanse is a masterclass in cliff hangers? Even their cliff hangers have cliff hangers /Not even joking. Seriously.

No spoiler here: Just adding a list for you guys for names up to this point so you can have a spoiler free list of names. Crew on ship that is being boarded James/Jim Holden - The xo Shed Garvey - The medic Amos Burton - Mechanic Naomi Nagata - Mechanic Alex Kamal - Pilot The 2 political people on Earth Chrisjen Avasarala - The politician that was interrogating belter Sadavir Erinwright - The other Politician Detectives on Ceres Joe Miller - Main detective with hat Dimitri Havelock - New detective working with Miller Octavia Muss - Female detective Ships Canterbury - The ship that was mining ice to take to Ceres that was blown up. Donnager - The Mars ship that just got the main crew Scopuli - The ship Julie and her crew took that then was destroyed while the crew was investigating There are more items to add, but since you guys haven't honed in on them too much I left them off so as not to be spoilery lol. Hope this helps some!

A little Jesse Pinkman "Yeah, Science!" for you... This show is based on real physics where there is no magic artificial gravity. The 2 ways to create gravity are thrust (from a ship's engine propelling it forward) and spin (like a centrifuge.) Asteroids like Ceres are spun up (using rockets attached to the surface) to create artificial gravity from its rotation. The centrifugal force (the gravity) is stronger on the surface and becomes weaker as you descend deeper into the asteroid's lower levels. The show illustrates the level of gravity in many ways... the crew using magnetic boots when the ship cuts its engines, the bird on Ceres hovering without needing to flap its wings much, and how water bends when poured into a glass on lower levels of Ceres (a Coriolis effect) just to name a few.

Hans Engelen

I think the fact that there is 'a lot of different story lines' is probably the main reason why it gets compared to Game of Thrones so much.

Drake

Ceres isnt a "space station" its a station on the astroid Ceres thats why the water falls sideways, its gravitation trough rotation of the astroid not trough excaleration so water and stuff all goes a bit to the side xD

Leo

Also the cop in the first season of Arcane!

Drake

maybe listen again to how they say "amos" because for half the episode i had no idea what you was talking about when you said amos xD (its "eymes")

Drake

Naomi Nagata was the Chief Engineer of the Canterbury not a mechanic

Bill B.

So kind of like Howard learned from Chuck how to spin a soda can to avoid explosions 🙂👍

Joan Monroe

Also one of the Romani people in Austria in Grimm, another excellent character-driven show.

Lindsay Mathieson

Good reaction! I did enjoy watching you guys react, discuss and theorise, you pickup a lot more than most do - good spot on the Scopuli being destroyed by the Canterbury debris, most people miss it.

Paul

All the science stuff has been covered by other comments, so I'll just say, great reaction! Giddy for you guys to see what happens next.

Golladan

Holden gives their full names when making the recording at the end.

Bill B.

You’re totally right… shows how much I paid attention lol!

Roger Kingsland

I read your "eymes" as "imes" - like "eye"+"rhymes" 😂

She was also in The Wheel of Time season 3. And in the Netflix movie Damsel as the voice of the dragon.
