To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

In man, this is one of the ones I've been waiting for... Question is, can I wait until I finish my current task for work...

AnastasiyaK

Yay, Expanse day! And for once I’m not busy so I can just watch this right away with you!

Golladan

Remember the Cant.

A L

Finally, our two stories come together. Things really pick up to close out this season and we move into the next.

Golladan

Is it Wednesday yet?

Sheri

I'm seriously impressed at how well you've followed all these interconnecting storylines with quite a few factions, stations, ships and characters to remember. DARK prepared you well! From here on, it's easier to follow now that our 2 main stories have converged. SOOOOOO excited for the next one!

Sheri

Miller is "in love" with the idea of Julie, or an idealized version of her he has created in his mind. Miller is jaded and disillusioned. He sees Julie as a symbol of something pure and heroic because she rejected her privilege to fight for the oppressed Belters. And he believes that by finding her, he can achieve some form of personal redemption.

Cody Taylor

"Shit just follows you around don't it kid?" Haha what an introduction. I love that scene, so tense!

AnastasiyaK

I can’t believe we’re almost done with the first season already! I was so excited to see y’all’s reaction to Miller and Holden and crew joining up and it did not disappoint!! I love the first 7 episodes but this is where the story really picks up and and it just keeps getting better and better. Good job on keeping track of all the story lines and making all the right connections…it should be getting easier as the stories start to merge more.

I love this show so much! Strap in Spartan and Pudgey! [edit: deleted a portion that A L below pointed out was an incorrect assumption]

Bill B.

The footage from Lopez’ chip was the entire Donnager battle, which shows these stealth ships and is now proof that the Martians has nothing to do with the Cant…. Bc same ships were used to nuke the Cant, and unless Mars took down its own top battleship Donnager, they’re exonerated, as is Holden and crew. Someone from this stealth team knew Holden and crew were picked up by the Donnager and they attacked it so Holden couldn’t expose them and everyone would still blame Mars for the Cant. But they really failed by not killing everyone on the Donnager. This is also why Lopez and so many Martians gave their lives to help Holden escape the Donnager, once he identified the attacking stealth ships as the same type that blew up the Canterbury.

A L

No, Jonathan Banks played the previous XO. McDowell was the captain that made Holden XO.

Bill B.

Oh, did not know that, I stand corrected. Thank you!

Bill B.

Yes, as someone (maybe it was you) pointed out earlier, it’s a “parasocial relationship.” Dawes was not wrong, Miller is in love with Julie. In the same way that the guy who tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan in 1981 was “in love” with young actress Jodie Foster, and in recent stories we hear of with people “falling in love” with AI chatbots. Except here Miller really is “falling in love” with an extraordinary woman.

Hans Engelen

Buckle up crew ... Here comes the juice!

kOLa

i know i am ahead, but i cannot wait for season 5. Those who know, know

Paul

I can't wait for every season lol

Paul

We've reached the point of high G burn so BUCKLE UP, here comes the juice! Nothing can prepare you for what's coming.

Lindsay Mathieson

Great reaction! you had me on the edge of my seat! thank you, like watching it for the first time all over again, only damn, you guys are putting together a lot more than me and most others do. Well done on realizing that Julie in the opening sequence was on the Stealth Ship, the Anubis, not the Scopuli, so many people didn't get that (me included). Thats awesome. Its a classic misdirect from episode one. Can't speak to much more of your theories, because, spoilers 😁 One of the things I really like about this episode is how Holden and Crew recon the Steath Ship, they do it smart - stay in pairs, in constant contact, use drones, collect information, when they see something dangerous they don't understand, they bug out, decontaminate and nuke it from orbit :) Classic Expanse, smart characters advancing the plot, not dumb asses forcing it.

Sheri

Honestly I'm in love with a musician who doesn't know I exist (but at least I can say I've met him twice LOL) I would leave my husband and everything I know to search the universe for him if he needed help :-)

Varun Laks

In a lot of ways, this episode is where the series really begins.

Lyn Hurst

I was going to stop watching, and then things started to come together the last couple of episodes. This episode was fantastic. Thanks for connecting all those dots with the yet unknown team and how they were trying to throw the other factions and governing bodies off.

Lyn Hurst

Good thing the Scopuli had merch all over the place I mean jackets:) That threw me off a bit as I thought the Scopuli crew ended up on this android docked ship. Very suss looking substance. Looks like some sort of fungal overgrowth with poisonous spores. I was surprised Julie was found so soon. Some lesser shows may have dragged that out to get people to tune in kind of the way shows do with the will they won't they get together with potential romantic partners to keep viewers hooked. Will they won't they find Julie could have gotten old.

Drake

but the crew of the scopuli DID end up on the ship, every single one of them ... for a very short time, then they decided to make a nice spacewalk

Drake

You was Correct Spartan, the stealth ship was the "Anubis" and the "Anubis 1a" is the shuttle from it. The stealthships are significantly larger then the roccinante and so it has own shuttels PS: also its funny you call fred johnson who quit earth navy because he hated what happened "the butcher" remember dawson told us they tricked him to open fire they never gave him the msg they surrenderd otherwise he would "never have fired" PPS: damn the UN killersquad was dogshit xD

Pamela Hofman

You should delete the spoiler here.

Shawn Anomaly

Was waiting for you two to get here because this episode is where the show blasts off and is not going to slow down for you now! The crazy is about to ramp up to levels you're not ready for and I'm ready to see you two go through it!!! The next two episodes are definitely going to be a ride for you two as Season 1 wraps up and brings you two into S2 where things just get way wilder than either you can expect!

Etta Eskridge

Come on dude! Never talk about future eps! Plus you got all your facts confused!

Etta Eskridge

Man you just can't help yourself!! Keep your future knowledge to yourself!

Etta Eskridge

Really loving your reactions. You need a moderator for some of the spoilers here. Some people just cannot help themselves (and even remember things wrong!) I love how Amos is so suspicious of everyone in that lobby. We have learned some about him and he seems always ready for the Churn. There are books that support these stories and the series of 9 novels is complete. Only 6 were adapted for TV so far. Some of us are book readers like myself and were looking forward to some of the scenes we had already read about but the show runner and writers (who were involved in the production at every step) were able to introduce new events and even characters to help keep book readers heavily involved in the surprises! There is a quick sequence as Miller arrives on Eros where the book writers, Ty Frank and Daniel Abraham, are seen as other passengers arriving on Eros just in front of Miller ( a little walk on scene for them!) Plenty of Easter Eggs in this whole series regarding other shows (Writers were huge fans of Alien for example) and Also nods to the fans who helped save the show after Season 3. Excited to continue!!
