Damn this show was so damn strong back when this aired. Holy shit. The dialogue about Lori forgetting Jacqui died and almost called her name..so real

Johnny_Raincloud

God I miss these early seasons. Hardly any music, just bugs chittering in the background. Epic lighting too. C'mon early TWD is one of the best

Rob Michael

Season 2 is my absolute favorite. So stoked you guys are watching this show!

"Is this in the school, or is this a back story?" - Spartan, 2025. 🤣

I think it’s strong and often hits even harder after experiencing everything with these characters in later seasons as well, it’s all subjective. The two seasons people say are the worst are amazing imo.

Kenzie_kenz1

It’s interesting how many viewers always go straight to “Shane made the difficult choice no one else could have made,” but I think we forget that his choice was equally beneficial for Rick and Lori as it was DETRIMENTAL to Hershel and his family at the farmhouse. Does Patricia’s pain matter less than Lori and Rick’s? Is it fair for Shane to treat this family, who (by the way), spent the entire day using all their time, energy and resources trying to help them, like collateral damage for his own personal desires to A) survive and B) save Carl? Idk… I completely agree with the antihero take, howeverrrr one must ask: WHEN does someone become a villain? After how many r*pe attempts? After how many sacrifices of another person? At the end of the day, I’m not sure the good Shane has done to this point really outweighs the bad :/

Josh

This episode was shane last strike with me pointing a gun at Rick still trying to be with Lori when Rick is back he definitely messed up in the head but I still love his character a lot

macc61

Who should Shane care more about Carl's survival and his own or Otis who caused all of this, clearly Shane is justified here.

spartanandpudgey

fuzzy you will be fed to the walkers if you continue down this path

DominaZeta

Yeah, I find it pretty disturbing how many people immediately justify Shane's actions here. I don't find it to be a grey area. It's not like he passively allowed someone to die by just not helping, he fully chose to murder someone to gain an advantage. People argue that he did it to save Carl (and for Lori & Rick's sakes) but I believe he would've done it just to save himself in any circumstance. Shane is a manipulator and a liar who has done at least three very dishonourable and immoral things at this point... I think if this was GoT they would have put him on the Sneaky Snake list by now.

Fuzzy Dunlop

I'll be fine. Based on your logic, I'll have plenty of time to stop and get a massage first. I'll figure something out and escape.

Mellan

s3 s4 and s5 are my personal faves... so excited for the journey!

Ирина Устюгова

Season 2 was always my favorite. It was like watching real people trying to survive the apocalypse.

Julianjjz

they 100% know by now. Everyone says it

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

i know that they know they replied its just to show the demand

Jayde.tash

You guys need to actually stop with the Shane love he is not a good person.

spartanandpudgey

he is a fictional character, we can enjoy and discuss what they have to offer without them needing to be model citizens

InVioletLight

Dexter would be amazing, S1-4 are peak TV. It does fall off a bit after that, but it's still pretty fun majority of the way through. New stuff has been very solid as well - especially Original Sin and Resurrection.

Frank

Short answer, yes. From Shane, Lori, Rick, and the whole group's perspective. I am not saying it wasn't a cold hearted decision, but if the choice is between the people I love/care about and someone I don't know. Sorry, it is going to be my people. And I completely disagree on good weighed against the bad. I think at this point in the show Shane's decisions have been far more good than bad. Lori and Carl would be dead from the jump without him. Rick would probably have given up and he would be dead as well. He made a very unwanted and forcefull advance on Lori. Very bad move and a terrible decision. What was the bad that came of that though? Outside of a shameful moment for him and a scary moment for Lori? Then he kills Otis to save Carl, who is only in that position because of Otis, not to mention that they, in fact, both would have died had he not done that and Carl as well as a result. 3 deaths vs 1. Not to mention, Shane did give Otis the chance to leave him behind because even at that point Shane knew they both wouldn't make it. Otis didn't. Honorable, by Otis no doubt, but also not a great decision. they were far to slow to outpace them. It was obvious. So if Otis can't make that call, I guess, Shane decided he had to. So tell me where the bad outweighs the good thus far?

Andy Eggroll

LOL I love seeing the Shane love. Cos it will be even sweeter when the curtain falls. lmaooooo

LaCrypt

🫵🏼🤭

Drake

Tell that to Otis’s wife lmao. What he did was an accident, Shane did it on purpose. There’s no justification, that makes it ok, but as we’ve seen Shane’s been increasingly getting unhinged.

Drake

Yeah even with what he’s done you feel like there’s a way back for him, especially after seeing how he’s looking after Rick and Lori. Moment he shows up back alone you knew something wasn’t right

macc61

The flashbacks weren’t clear on reaction screen and it’s been a while since I saw the entire episode. I do doubt they both could survive hobbling like that. But I know what you mean about Shane.

Montae Williams

They would’ve been fine. Shane had time to shoot Otis’ leg, wrestle supplies from him and get his hair loose then they definitely had more hobble time in them lol 🤦🏾‍♀️. W/all that they could’ve taken less time wrapping their ankles w/sock to do a last ditch sprint. I’ve done this and w/adrenaline they wouldn’t have even felt pain until they were in the truck, if that. It was an excuse bc Shane tells the real reason later. He’s foul.

Dogman

Justified? No lol, but at least we can understand his motive
