Appropriate expressions. God damn Rick Grimes is the shit.

Montae Williams

Personally, I think Lori’s behavior at the end of Season 2 is when Rick decided he was done trying to make their relationship work. He was in survival/ leader mode, they’d coparent but that was it. Ofc it’d be great if he voiced that to her - she actually said previously he’d been a calm, eager communicator. Lori had been the toxic one who craved “passionate” arguing / yelling instead of productive conversation. 🤷🏽‍♀️ He hasn’t forgiven her and hasn’t really processed much else. I don’t blame him.

I love Rick, but when your wife is about to give birth (surrounded by zombies), it's not the time to prove your point.

Montae Williams

What point is it that you think he’s trying to prove? And to whom?

Ирина Устюгова

That he has the right to decide for everyone? That he's not the one to blame for Shane's death? That killing his best friend was the right decision? Basically, everything he said at the end of season two. He's trying to prove it to everyone, but most of all to himself. And under all the pressure, he can't recognize that one of the people closest to him is about to go through the most terrifying ordeal of her life and needs his support.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Out of all the good characters on the show, I can't wrap my head around Spartan loving Lori so much.

JOHN FIORE

Does he love her? He's criticized her more than he's complimented her. What is with people interpreting their reactions to characters so weirdly?

Damon Shaw

He's been fairly in the middle about her. Gives credit where it's due and calls her out when she acts cray cray

Anaya Imari

He’s been supportive. Like he said, GO TO HERSHEL ABOUT THE BABY! He literally told everybody kick rocks if you can do it on your own. Everybody stayed because Rick is and has always been the LEADER! Lori hasn’t been the greatest mom and Rick hasn’t been the greatest dad. But being a leader can sadly cost those morals when a whole group is on the line. Rick shouldn’t be at fault for no longer dealing with Lori’s shit. The marriage is a wrap! He tried his best while Lori played games and lied to both him and Shane! I wouldn’t want to be bothered by her either.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Yes, he loves her. He has a Lori Grimes poster on his wall.

Montae Williams

I don’t understand w/ the time skip how you get all that in these 2 episodes. You’re making up a lot of backstory. Based off of what we’ve seen, he might be excellent at compartmentalizing everything. As a cop, it’s necessity. It doesn’t seem like he’s trying to prove anything to anyone anymore. His mission is survival & that’s what he’s done. With teamwork I might add. They could’ve left. I don’t get why there’s an expectation of Rick to rekindle an emotional connection w/Lori right away. Or at all actually. As a coparent, he’s done everything he could.

Ирина Устюгова

Look, no one expects Rick to make out and cuddle with Lori every morning. Just don't be rude and don't snap at a woman who's about to have a baby. You're all pretending that Rick is just naturally like that. But he's clearly not himself since killing Shane, and he clearly has a lot of resentment towards Lori. Even with the rest of the group, Rick is distant, despite being more polite with them. In this episode, Carl treats Lori like crap because he watched his father treat his mother like that for nine months. No one is saying Rick should stay in a relationship he doesn't want. But Lori is his family. This is the woman with whom he has a son and with whom he spent many years together. The way he treats her is a mistake.

I liked Shane too and maybe it's because you guys are binging the show but you both are obsessed with him on a level I don't quite understand.

QueenIhyll

B and E is Breaking & Entering (the crime Oscar was in prison for). Also I loved Shane as much as you guys, I missed him so much after season 2. Jon Bernthal really brought the character to life.
