Finally season finale! So anxious to see your reaction to this one. Let's go! hehe

Joey

Lets goo

Lyn Hurst

I am a bit conflicted as to why you would think they shouldn't have brought the elderly people and the children from Woodbury. Were they supposed to leave them there to die?

Kelschman

Something Spartan should consider regarding resources, it's reasonable to assume they took a large portion (if not everything) from Woodbury

ShanB

Pudgey made a good point with the comment "that's how you become the gov". It really is the small, consistent choices made by a person that shapes them. A few too many choices on the dark, selfish side and it does become easier and easier to do the wrong thing with less guilt each time because you'd become more and more convinced that these choices are keeping you alive.

Gigi

Andrea's death is meant to fix Rick here, that is why he doesn't see Lori anymore when he looks up one last time and then they did what Andrea wanted and saved everyone left in Woodbury. Honestly this whole season was such a shit, show runner got fired for killing Andrea, because she had a contract for 8 seasons at least and actress was planning to buy a house in Atlanta. Originally Andrea was supposed to save everyone in a very badass way in season finale and kill Governor and then for whatever reason show runner instead kill her off which made this season basically a main female character getting manipulated, insulted and then killed by a main villain.

Mark Yue

why didn’t they all move to Woodbury instead of moving everyone to the prison?

Ellie

Was Shane’s death the same in the comics aswell? Like did it happen the same way and time to the show?

Golladan

Not exactly. After the group is attacked in the camp they had outside Atlanta, Shane basically loses it and blames everything that went wrong on Rick. He is about to kill Rick when Carl shows up and kills Shane. Rick later returns and digs up and puts down Zombie Shane after he learns that everyone is infected.

S4 is an incredible season for character development. I'm sooooo excited! Also Carl is one of my favorite characters. His story is so heartbreaking, but what Rick said was right, it's easy to forget he's a kid because he has grown man responsibilities and at the age where he wants his dad to see him as that.

Golladan

Nah I disagree. There's no way of knowing if the Governor was like this from the start his daughter would still live.

James Waters

Andrea's whole arc through the three seasons has been quite frustrating, and I hate to be that guy but it's worse when you consider her role in the comics. Comic andrea lasted MUCH longer and had a much greater role, she basically became a main character, she basically was a badass version of Lori. Unfortunately from mid season 2 onwards after frank darabont's sacking, she was written as an idiot in one episode, a badass in another, and then an idiot again, and she very much fell victim to the extended episode count of the show, the writers keeping her at woodbury by having her be deaf, blind and dumb to the situation around her, and unfortunately her character suffered for it, they just didn't know what to do with her, and in the end I think they had to kill her if for no other reason than the audience perception of her was just in the toilet at this point. Even her death made her out to be an idiot, talking to Milton and just not trying at all to get the pliers for a good minute while she has a heart to heart with him. Other than that, great season lol. I get sick pleasure from your disdain for the Governor.

Anaya Imari

Even in the comics, Rick truly always had a great heart! Even after what Shane did, he still pulled him from the grave and killed walker Shane. What a true man!! I love the comics!!!

Highly controversial opinion I'm sure, but Andrea's death always hurt me the most. The showrunner at the time was fired for her death, a decision that was made at the last minute, but scenes were at least rewritten. In the original season ender, she got free and led Woodbury to the prison on a horse. After death was decided then Tyreese and Sasha would find her being eaten, killed zombified Milton (who still had glasses on), unchained Andrea, and left her with a gun due to her request. She died offscreen still/suicide. Thankfully this was all changed, and we got a touching goodbye scene. Had she survived, she would have been a powerhouse as she would have had better judgement and writing under the new showrunner. On the bright side, her final moments are among the nicer ones compared to other characters in the show. Flawed but moral, Andrea (TV show) was my favorite and always will be.

Yoursinchris

Probably because the governor is still out there and that’s his home turf. Safer being at the prison.

Shawneeboy

Governors gone. He left off in the truck. Probably died off screen

Lyn Hurst

I read about this. The actress who played Andrea said she didn't know she wasn't coming back as per her contract.

ZK

I'm glad Rick and the group decided to bring Woodbury residents back to the prison. Having people trained to fight and protect is obviously great, but building a thriving community is also important!

Makeeba

They wrapped up the Season finale perfectly! I found it a bit haunting that the last moments of Andrea's life was being stuck in that murky room on that chair. Who would've thought that by the closing scene of 3x14 that she'd never get out of there alive. Leaving Milton behind to eventually kill her made it worse for me. Sure, Andrea did have some redeeming qualities as her intentions for both sides always seemed good but think it's safe to say that it did frustrate some of us viewers at times because she was slow with it all, especially in this season, even up to her final moments like actively attempting escape before Milton turned. Nonetheless, she was still one of the "originals" from S1 so it's still sad to see her go in that sense. Loved how immersed you guys got with describing character arcs, scenes etc in this episode. Brilliant reaction/post-discussion. Ready for S4 😄👏

Estevan Rivera

I'm with Spartan on the Tyreese love. Was a huuuge fan of him even from the first episode. And Hershels shoulder tap of approval speaks volumes

Anaya Imari

Really really love the Prison ark! One of the best things out of The Walking Dead series!! Season 4 is REALLY REALLY gonna be top tier! Very glad you love Tyrese! He’s a GOAT!

Victoria E (vickster5001)

I've always enjoyed season 3, although Andrea's arc continues to feel frustrating and a waste, although at least the end brings some closure. Some fantastic eps in this season though with 3.04 and Clear and introducing new characters. Onward to season 4!

Jacob Sparks

I can’t wait for season 4!!

Jonathan

Both Andrea and Merle had disappointing endings, though Merle more so. I loved Merle's redemption arc, and I thought that he was a great character in the end. But I feel like he was a victim to the Governor's plot armor. Merle was a bad ass and should have been able to take down the Governor. Andrea's ending was annoying, because it was so unnecessary. The only reason she died is because she kept on pausing her escape attempt to talk, or to see if Milton had turned yet. But at the same time, it was kind of appropriate, because the way she died matched with her character's personality this last season: annoying.

Golladan

Channeling their inner Shane.

corey garceau

well i guess i will be back in 8-9 weeks for season 4 cause i just cant watch shows week by week

Gox

i'm so happy you guys have a fresh take on twd., back when this aired, this season was heavily scrutinised for breaking the "follow the comics" rule. and a lot of people were really mad at this version of Andrea. but when you really look at it like you do she really tried her best in the situation she was in. i can't wait to dive into season 4 with you guys

Enemy

Nice! I always felt so bad for these last few episodes of season 3, so many deaths. Thanks, can't wait for season 4.
