Honestly I loved seasons 1-3 equally - seasons 2 & 3 really expect the viewer to not just be paying attention, but also be critically thinking about what you're watching though, and so if you don't you can quickly lose the plot which is why I think a lot of people didn't like it. I also remember enjoyjng season 4, albeit I don't remember much of what happened, so take from that what you will. In short, I will watch and enjoy it you continue past season 1, but understand if you guys decide not to.

Great start! You’re right that the cast is full of phenomenal actors. The story is such an intricate mind twister. Personally, I very much enjoyed the first two seasons. I liked the successive ones after that, though to a lesser degree. They are also quite different. You can decide if you want to continue after this but I think season 2 is at least worth it. Enjoy!

Season 2 is the worst season in my opinion. 3 and 4 are absolutely worth watching. It is just a different show after 2 and some people found it jarring.

I love WW and highly recommend watching through S2 at least. Narratively a lot more is resolved & makes sense after S2. S2 includes one of the greatest episodes of TV ever IMHO. Personally I love all of WW, though it is a different kind of story in S3-4. This show isn't for casual viewers, that's for sure. You're picking up on it right away, there's a lot going on that you don't always catch on first viewing. It's a complicated show that asks deep philosophical questions.

Re the ending of the episode of her "noticing" the fly. It's more than that, she actually kills the fly. A few scenes ago when she was asked she said she wouldn't hurt a living thing (according to her programming)... something to think about!

Excited for this! I think season 1 is amazing and 2 is pretty good and then it goes downhill from there.

personally i think s2 onward is complete trash, S1 is one of the best shows and it just goes into mediocrity sadly

I'd honestly say for sure season 1, and then just watch the rest based on the viewership or if you guys are enjoying it. I personally enjoyed all of it, but I might be in the minority. So I don't think many at all will fault you guys if you hang it up early. I think the show suffers from being so good in season 1 and then the following seasons not living up to the tier of season 1. But I think the following seasons are still good.

I thought it was good too lol. Heck, I enjoyed all of it, and the only reason the last season was a downer for me was because I found out the show was ending. I would have kept watching if they continued it though.

Personally, I really enjoyed the whole show, especially seasons 1 and 4. It's a real shame we never got the final season to properly conclude the story :(

I really love the first two seasons. I didn't love the second two seasons quite is much by don't think you can really just stop. The mystery is just too great

I guess there's no real difference (in the shows era and with advanced technology) to these robots/lifeforms and what we would know as NPCs in games now that use EXTREMELY crude versions of the code used in the hosts. It is jarring as to the eye, ear, nose and touch they're no different to humans but it's the norm for them Makes you think are they just really cruel or is it just us as we are now in a black mirror type way

Every little subtle thing you notice in this show means something, you just won’t understand fully until the end of the season. Season 1 is one of my favorite seasons of a show ever, I think watch season 2 and even season 3 bc I thought they were still good. But stay away from season 4..it’ll ruin the series for you, it was so bad the show got cancelled before it could do its final season.

Late to the party here but I definitely think you should watch season 2 as well. I found it fascinating. Season 3 is where I got completely lost, uninterested, and quit watching. I remember for season 3 I started watching 1hr+ YouTube breakdowns after each episode just to figure out what was going on, at that point it was no longer worth it to me.

Totally forgot Simon ogg was in thus. You’ll recognize him from gta5 or better call Saul. So this is based on a movie Michael Crichton made a long time ago called west world - a western themed amusement park. The show is a remake and goes way way deeper. During that big shootout scene the song in the background is a rendition if Rolling Stones - paint it black and it’s used a few times through the show I think. Anyway that’s all for random trivia today.

I enjoyed all of Westworld. Season 3 was my least enjoyable, but it ties it once you watch season 4. Overall, I found it a satisfying show.

I think you should definitely watch all the seasons. The show doesn't make sense unless you do. It ties everything together. I think many of the people who don't like the later seasons don't understand the story, since this is a remake and was always going to end the way it did. They watched Season 1 and thought it was a different kind of show.

Season two is worth watching for the conclusion of the characters youve come to know. While i enjoyed the rest of the show I can say for sure that season 3 and 4 are not as satisfying. But if you enjoy the world and the vibe i say watch the rest privately. There are some amazing scenes still in those seasons but its just a totally different story and world after season 2.
