Drummer drinks when she's angry, not when she's sad. And that's why they showed Holden taking the cancer meds in the first episode of the season! Man the music that plays during the whole Barbapiccola sequence... I think we've heard enough about Amos to figure out his past at this point.

Many people end up shocked or even disagreeing with the General's anger but he indeed protested the plan. He called out how the intel was both limited and unverified for such an operation. Chrisjen unfortunately only went after two options when there was a third...not attacking at all which the General would've preferred. At the end of the day he has to follow her orders. He presented the only two options available in her wanting to move forward. Presenting those options were not him necessarily agreeing with the plan.

BINGO! Many times reactors end up not liking the General's reaction when it's a very understandable/justified reaction. There was no need to chase after either option presented.

Unfortunately while every word she said was true, Arjun was right that she used their son's death for political advantage just like the intentional leak (contradicting her own former comment of it not being right to do so). Amos was having trauma flashbacks. He probably has CPTSD from what he went through as a child. Wei: "People like us deserve a say in how we go out." She's been through some awful shit too. She knows. That's why they connected so well.

Amos’s backstory is his mom was a prostitute. His dad was a John. He was then pimped out as a sex slave kept in a basement. Somebody named Lydia meant something to him. there’s more to be revealed about his backstory. in the books Some stuff is quite different. This season only has 10 episodes Next season only has 10 and they are fucking amazing season six only has six episodes but also fucking amazing but season 10 has two episodes that are unreal. Can’t wait to see you guys react to them!

Great discussion about Avasarala. Some people don't get Arjun's anger because what Chrisjen is doing is not really wrong. Releasing information to the public, her speech including her son, calling for a strike team option etc. are not bad decisions in a vacuum but she has shown that her motivations to do those things are not 100% noble. They did a good job of creating a little doubt and adding some grey and mixed feelings to her character.

Other than saying two episodes in season five are very good. It’s not spoilers. These things have all been said in previous episodes definitely not spoilers. Everything I have said Amos has said in conversations with other people in previous episodes

A lot of it revealed with conversation conversations with Prax. And I remember in season three before the fight with Alex him looking at a computer screen with Lydia’s name and also saying she was somebody to him when talking to Cortazar.

Great reaction and discussion! A lot of reactors don't appreciate this season as much because it has less "action" than previous seasons but I love you guys because you really appreciate the character drama, development and dilemmas.

The writers wanted to include more scenes with Anderson Dawes but during this time period the actor Jared Harris wasn't available because he was in high demand and already booked on various projects. He was filming lead roles in Foundation, the Crown and Chernobyl, among other smaller roles. Then Covid also made it difficult logistically.

Took me more than one watch to appreciate this season for what it was instead of just being mad at everyone on Ilus and Earth for being such idiots.

It just sucks that they’re wondering about his backstory that has already been revealed in exposition during seasons 2 3. And. 4. and if it doesn’t get pointed out to them, they’re going to be missing out on which I think is their favorite character.. oh well I’m soured on the whole thing

This is my first rewatch of this season, I must have totally forgotten some parts (like much of this episode!) but man this was epic and I cannot wait for the next two!!!
