I love how fast you guys are putting out these reactions!!!! I can’t wait to be off work to watch this! Also, I just wanted to thank you guys, I’ve recently gone through a break up and moved out on my own and I watch your reactions everyday and feel less alone. You guys help people more than you’ll ever know ♥️

spartanandpudgey

Hey Amber, we're really sorry to hear that, breakups can certainly be tough, but no doubt you are tougher! an exciting new chapter begins with endless possibilities. we are grateful our reactions could play a small part in helping you through this time and giving you some company :)

A nice way to end my Wednesday night! The banishment of Carol shocked me too. I can see both sides, which is always one of the strengths of this show. She has become more clinical and detached in how she views life/death in some ways and I get it after all she's been through and I see her logic, but those two people were in cells and contained and innocent and she killed them. I can therefore see why Rick now feels she's a risk to have around, as well as an asset.

Golladan

Was that Oswald Cobblepot?

Shawneeboy

Nah carol is 100% wrong she didn’t have to kill them. It wasn’t a forgone conclusion they were going to die. Also Rick has never done anything “bad” to that degree where he is killing members of the group unless they were trying to kill him obviously (Shane)

Charlyn

Right I agree with you 100%, if it was Karen that killed for example Carol and Glenn I dont think what she did would be as easy a pill to swallow as it is when we think of Carol doing what she did

Sharon Quiroa

What carol did was WRONG. Having someone point a gun at you to kill you (Shane) and having two people extremely weak and sick (Karen and David) are two completely different threats. Idk maybe im just the biggest Shane hater haha.

Gypsysoul

I do this because at one point this will give alot more perspective at to how quick or not things are happening. It can help give alot more clarity in laters seasons. Updated Timeline; Rick woke up ~Day 59 of the outbreak They get to the CDC ~ Day 63 CDC Blows up ~ Day 64 They arrive at the Farm ~ Day 65-67 Walker Sophia emerges from Barn ~ Day 71 Dale dies ~ Day 81 Shane dies & Farm Falls ~ Day/Night 82 Reunited after Farm Falls ~ Day 83 The arrive at the Prison ~Day 300 Lori & T-Dog Die & Judith Born ~ Day 309 Rick saves Woodbury residents ~ Day 321 Season 4 Opening ~ Day 520 Sickness, Carol kills Karen/David ~ Day 521 Supply Run ~ Day 522 Carol left behind ~ Day 523

Gypsysoul

Also, if you guys ever want clarity on an episode [After the show - to avoid spoilers - unless someone can send you a direct link ie; the talking dead s4x4]. There was an aftershow called "The Talking Dead" that aired right after each episode - where the actors from each episode[usually] and showrunners would sit and chat about the episode, more in depth conversation about what the characters were thinking, as well as what the actors thought, the showrunners always gave the best insight. Etc. Also they had like zombie/kill of the week and other cool little things. Just all sorts of content and good times. After some episodes - not this one in particular, but just in general - I feel you guys could appreciate. Especially in hindsight like when Shane died. I think Spartan would enjoy that lol. Anyways, just thought I'd throw it out there. The Walking Dead always got two scheduled hours out of me every Sunday because of the After show lol :) Keep up the epic work 🤩🤩

Golladan

Carol didn't kill them because she thought they were going to die. Carol killed them because they were the only ones sick at the time and she thought by killing them she could stop the spread of the flu. It's... not the most thought out decision, but it's why she did it.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

Yeah, you can’t compare what Carol did here with Rick killing Shane. Shane was planning to kill Rick right there in that field. Carol had no guarantee that Karen & David would spread the sickness +/or die.

DRIP DROP

I dont get how they see Carol leaving as a bad move by Rick. She literally murdered 2 people in cold blood. What if it was Beth and Hersel that were sick first, they're saying she'd be justified if she killed them? She killed 2 people and it didnt save anything. Rick was right, Tyrese would kill Carol and the rest of the group would not want Carol there. Rick saved her by letting her go.

Jonathan G

Rick never murdered anyone in cold blood

ShanB

LOL at Pudgey agreeing with Lizzy’s perspective 😆

DRIP DROP

Facts. Pudgey said "others people made decisions like that, Even you." Rick never killed 2 innocent members of the group in cold blood. The whole group wouldn't want Carol around.

JonSnow21

The thing is Carol did not have to do anything, she chose to murder them in cold blood which is not only Terrible but also extremely stupid considering that so many at the prison had already been exposed to the virus and her killing them was still an extremely low chance of stopping the virus. Rick 100 percent made the right choice in my eyes, how could he trust her after that and not only that , her comparing Shane who straight up tried to murder Rick more than once to two people with a flu is absurd, of course y’all agreed with that opinion lol 😂 not surprised but cmon y’all gotta see the difference.

JonSnow21

Nah you’re not Bc I love Shane as a character, top 3 in TWD but you’re completely right.

ShanB

It’s painful yes but Carol pulled a Shane killing two of their own. Shane wouldnt have been fit to be around the group and nor would Carol. Rick being a cop and keeping that secret from Tyrese and the group wouldn’t have been right. If Carol’s instinct was to kill before discussing with anyone… and keeping it a secret until asked… yeah she’d have to go before she did it to someone else. She took initiative and now there’d be no way of knowing what she’d do next in the name of protecting the core group. The two she killed were part of the group. Rick was definitely watching those choices she was making when it came to those two survivors they met on the road as well. Had she listened when Rick tried to let them stay back at the house and wait it’s possible they’d have survived but Carol decided their survival was less important than for them to help their group back at the prison. They were not strong enough to deal with even one walker.

Bill B.

Damn this is another ROUGH episode, and also really, really good…. !! I get why Carol did what she did…. I also get why Rick did what he did. He could no longer trust her to protect what he lives for… the safety of Carl and Judith.

Mark Laniel

Rick never did what Carol did...carol did something very selfishly there. Had it been Daryl or someone like that Carol wouldnt "murder" him to make that sacrifice for the group. She did it because she didnt care much about 2 other people, who Rick and the group took in to join their community and protect them from the governor. What;s they did that they were also part of their group! That was not the right call at all, and in fact, she never gave them a chance. And what decision did Rick make just like that?

Alex_Skull123

I don't know how view uncut reactions lol

Branden Findeisen

I'm pretty sure Daryl's father was also a drunk, so there's that, too, when it comes to Bob.

ZK

I'm a Carol stan but I don't think Rick was entirely unreasonable. She didn't need to kill Karen and David. She could have consulted with others on what to do. If I were a parent I'd probably feel very uncomfortable having her around my kids too - you just never know. Also, Rick killed Shane out of self-defense and I don't love the fact that she brought that up to justify her actions. That said, I understand why she felt she need to do it. She did try to act for the greater good even if her actions were misguided. There was a lot of misalignment on what they each believed was right. But also why I love the show - the nuanced and tough conversations between characters are great to watch.

spartanandpudgey

read the description! and ask in the chat room how people view it for more ideas. essentially you sync up your copy of the show with our reaction and there's many ways to do with listed in the video description

Aidan Fitzgerald

The Carol situation is one of the best moral dilemmas throughout the show. On one hand, you can certainly understand her reasoning, and we know Carol well enough to know that she really did think she was doing the best thing for the group. On the other hand, she murdered two people in cold blood, and didn't end up helping stop the spread of the virus at all. It's easy for viewers to say "Yeah it was bad, but shit happens. Rick shouldn't have kicked her out," when we weren't really attached to Karen, and didn't even get to know David at all. If Carol had murdered people we cared about, I think the overwhelming consensus would be that Rick made the right call sending her away. Then again, she almost certainly wouldn't have done it at all if the first to get sick was any member of the original group or one of the kids, so I think it's a bit hypocritical of her (and us as the viewers) to excuse her actions just because it was some random side characters.

Anaya Imari

This season is soooo good! Like we are getting closer and closer to THE PEAK OF THE WALKING DEAD!! As for Carol, she literally killed two innocent lives for no reason. Literally sooo many people are sick! That would’ve happened regardless! Carol was selfish and thought nobody would care about them. That’s why she was shocked when Tyrese acted the way he did. If it was Daryl that was sick, she’d be ready to riot if someone killed him!

Looking forward to these reactions, genuinely helps me get through my shifts. Some opinions may frustrate me but just know yall are SOOO appreciated! 🥹 🩷 People in the comments already pretty much explained the situation perfectly. But to yalls point— I do think he had the intention of making a decision on Carol (when they left) but he wasn’t sure what it would be. I think when he started hearing how cold she has become in everything she said…like not only the way she handled those kids but her continuously justifying herself to him & also forcing him to even reflect on his own actions— is really what got to him and helped him decide that she is a danger or a liability. Bc his actions & decisions probably reaffirmed that she was too far gone. Like he’s seen cold & he almost got there but she crossed that line. She was EXTREMELY disconnected to the “remorse” she expressed. That’s not someone you can sleep next to at night. He made the right calls & she was dead wrong. Love Carol tho and I do see her reasoning but her reasoning was wrong. Even if that did stop the spread...that was straight up murder.

AlrightThere

What’s interesting to notice here is that once Bob took that alcohol, look how desperate he is to escape with everyone else. Before, he’s there, but not as much of a team player. As soon as he got what he wanted, he was calling the shots and helping in every way he could. Haha.

AlrightThere

Yeah she 100% let those young adults die. I do agree with Spartan though they seemed kinda sus but in the context of this situation we can assume they were being genuine. Both of them were in no state to take out walkers.

ShanB

Yeah I won’t pretend I don’t understand Carol but she was on the dark side here. Way too sinister even when she told Lizzy she basically bitched out cus she couldn’t stab her dad in the head 😆

Alex_Skull123

Love these episodes with music at the end, like Breaking Bad did.

Richie3891

i think in karons mind she had euthinesed them. im not saying it was the right call but differant to " killing them in cold blood"

Martin Gašpar

i think its time to get some seatbelts guys

Gox

i think she broke. a while ago actually. something just broke and it started with Sofias death. she seemed to be getting better, certainly understand the world she's in way better. even fits in better. but she has not been behaving rationally for quite a few episodes.

Jarrica Hennigan

Someone kills a walker” Shane would have did it like this” someone yells at someone “ Shane would have done it like that” Shane Shane Shane Shane 😂 we get it you miss Shane… my favorite reaction from you guys was when Shane was killed 😘😂

Ryan

Rick came extremely close to offering Michonne to The Governor in order to keep his people safe, but when he finds out what Carol does, which was a bad decision but made sense nonetheless, Rick says he doesn't want her around them. He's just an idiot. The only reason he didn't go through with sacrificing Michonne was because he was talked out of it...and this is only one example of many. Rick is just a hypocrite man...and its annoying. At least with Shane you knew who he was. He didn't flip flop all the time trying to take the moral highground when others do the same stuff he's done before like Rick does to people.

Lee Shafer

I was just gonna talk about the talking dead

Zane Platt

The brilliance of this episode is that Rick is essentially testing Carol during their entire run. He keeps hoping that she will say or do something that shows him that she isn't completely cold hearted. But she sticks to her guns and he makes the decision that he makes because he had held off on dealing with Shane so long in the past. In his mind, she is exhibiting the same kind of underhanded ruthlessness that Shane had and he didn't want to make the same mistake again What I love about yours guys reaction though is that you are consistent with how you treated Shane and Carol. You forgave both of them and tried to see things from their perspective

Zane Platt

He did what he did in this episode exactly because she was so forgiving with Shane. What she did was underhanded and ruthless, right or not. His thought process was that if she could do this behind everyone's back, what else is she capable of in the name of safety.

Lyons

48:10 "ohhhh wait".... enough said🤣 if it wasnt obvious 2 thousands times before, yeah pudgey.. either stop claiming you haven't seen these shows before, or just do a better job at lying.. I like you guys a lot.. but you are terrible actors.. sorry not sorry

Paul

Rick was capable of reason and reached the correct decision. Carol, even if spoken to, would still have murdered those two sick people in their sleep. It was cold binary logic for her.

Paul

I would likely die quickly in the Walking Dead universe, because I'd refuse to descend into pragmatism / consequentialism morality. Killing two people in their sleep because they're sick and might infect others is evil. It has a sterile logic to it though, for survivors in this hellscape. That's the problem isn't it? To survive, are you willing to become a greater monster than the zombies?
