Shanesterbaters 😂😂

Would you still defend Carol if she had burned Glenn? He's infected.

Leroy

You two keep falling back on the idea that everyone in this show has done terrible things, but that framing ignores scale, intent, and consequence. Carol burned two people alive on nothing more than fear. those two could have survived. she doesn't know. she doesn't get to decide for them or the group If those two had been Glen and someone else you actually value, your moral compass would suddenly shift. You would immediately register the gravity of the act because the loss would feel personal. That reveals a very surface level way of processing these moments. also your ridiculous obsession with Shane is getting unbearable. Nothing Rick did belongs in the same category. Rick killed Shane after repeated threats, manipulation, and a clear attempt to take his family. That was a response to a materialized danger that was about to end his life, not an arbitrary execution. Carol’s choice mirrors the Governor far more than Rick. The fact that you both flatten these actions , or anyone else's actions as if they carry the same ethical weight is exactly why your analysis feels unmoored. You overlook context and collapse vastly different acts into a single label.

Just want to say I love how invested you are in the characters. Your opinions differ from mine in many cases but that's fine; that's what the show brings out in people: how we would each act in these situations of survival and moral dilemmas. So excited for more reactions!

Nathan Jasper

Do we know they were alive? Seems like she would have stabbed their brains first.

Ririn

If it's so unbearable for you, why continue to watch their reactions and put yourself through that?

Ririn

Yes, Carol killed them first with a knife to the back of the head. So they weren't burned alive

I'm happy you recognized Sam and he left an impression on you. I really love the way you guys talk through the episodes and I've even gotten used to the fact that Shane is gone but not forgotten by you, you really commit to the characters, and if I'm honest, while I disliked so much of what Shane did., his character was so compelling and dramatic that I missed that when he was gone. Heck, I still think about him as well as Andrea, Dale and so many others all these years later. The writers were brilliant at creating memorable characters.

spartanandpudgey

thanks for this feedback! we're glad to hear that. we love exploring and immersing in the world so its fun that you are enjoying our discussions :)

Love how much you two invest into the characters and the show but your analysis of Shane and carol is really skewed. Rick killed Shane because it’s what he had to do after giving Shane multiple chances, but Shane obsession with control and ricks family led him to betray his closet friend Rick to a level that was unforgivable, he was going to kill Rick, not for the good of the group, but for his own selfish and harmful desires. Carol killed and burned 2 people out of stupidity and fear of the unknown. I love carol but this was the shows way to telling us that carols adaption to this world became black and white, we see through out the show that this kind of mentality only leads to disaster, and carol was slowly easing her way into this path.

Carl literally killed a teen who was surrendering when the governor came, they let Merle stay after capturing Glenn and Maggie, but Carol did the worst thing? Lol no, I hated Rick when I first saw this episode. He should’ve had the council or Tyrese choose what happens to her and let her explain her side to the group.

Sahae

lol

Demented Avenger

I mean, Shane pretty much told Rick he was going to kill him so...

You could have offered your perspective without the personal attacks. I enjoy Spartan and Pudgey's reactions and analysis cheifly because they are not malingering by nature. They also don't submit to the bullying minority repeatedly trying to control their narratives.
