I feel like yall aren’t fully understanding Marcos motivations lol. Usually you guys are good at understanding the villains perspective. Earth was trying to control access to the new worlds in the Ring, and the Belters who have never been under an atmosphere, are understandably pissed about lol. Unfortunately sometimes the only thing you can do is resort to violence (see the Revolutionary War where America won its independence, etc)

That story of “Mouse” breaks my heart every time. The fact that everything Mars was, everything it fought for for centuries got wiped away was incredibly difficult to accept. The way she explained it was just perfect.

also Dawes actor is extremely busy with shows like HBOs Chernobyl and Apples Foundation, which is why he wasn’t always available to film

I feel like, other than Thanos, Marco is probably one of the top villains when it comes following through his plan in killing millions. And yes, Fred’s death shocked shocking , but when you think about it, he didn’t die in some random, meaningless moment he was killed during a major turning point. It makes sense that we’d lose someone powerful at a moment like that. As for Naomi, I think her choices can be hard to relate to unless you’re a parent, ( you can understand her, but you won’t really feel her hope & pain) . Sometimes Hope can be dangerous; it pushes people to take risks they would normally never even consider. This show is just too good!!!

This is the moment it all comes together for me. It's the culmination of 5+ years (don't forget we had to wait for Amazon to pick up the show!) it's the driving force behind everythhing that happens. Truly was looking forward to you watching this episode and your reaction has been as hoped!

You're both right and wrong, sure Inaros is a 'freedom fighter' for the belt, but also Belters deep down know because of their physiology they cannot exist (only like 30% survive the gravity drugs) outside the Belt. So some part of it is wanting that freedom, and another bigger part of it is just about hurting thier perceived 'bully'.

Honestly, Fred and especially Dawes, weren’t as big of characters as you would think, imo. They were definitely always important for the chain of command for Belters. But just like with Ana and Prax, they’ve only been there for their specific parts. It was shocking to loose Fred, but I personally never had an emotional connection to him, not like the one that was built with Ashford. And he had much less screen time than Fred.

Marco doesn't care about anyone but himself. His dreams are predicated on his ambition of being a hero.. not on freeing ANYONE. Killing millions of people is NEVER an appropriate response to ANYTHING. There is a reason why not all Belters stand with Marcos. Because they aren't lunatic fanatics.
