We want to gauge interest, this is specifically being asked to those who watch our Westworld reactions. this will not be the deciding factor we will be taking into account multiple variables including out own interest and feelings at the end of Season 1

Ed

Stop after 2. 2 is worth it to a point

JJ Jones

Yes please even 3 and 4 tbh but ik it might be out of everyone’s preferences

Alex

Your gonna wanna keep going lol

MaskOfBorro

Honestly, if Westworld stopped after season 1, it would get enshrined as one of the TV GOATs. But season 2 is still very solid and has great episodes and arcs!

A L

I think you guys should finish the first season and then continue on if you want.

DarWeezy

1 & 2 is all.

alaskan mitch

You will finish season 1 and feel so hyped and wonder how somebody could stop there. But the reality is it starts to make completely no sense, turn your brain off type TV

lazerbrain8d4

I dont remember much from season 2. It couldn't live up to the high bar set by season 1.

Kizzle

Season 2 is great! I like the later seasons too it just feels like a different show once u get that far.

Mike Lew

Yes at least 2

Connor W

Yes definitely watch season 2. It adds to season 1 and is a good stopping point. I haven't watched seasons 3 or 4 but I have heard it drops off in quality. I have been watching the WestWorld reactions and they are my favorite each week. Season 2 is worth watching and reacting to. After that it's up to you if you want to watch the other seasons in your own time or if there's enough interest to react on the channel. I doubt that it would.

Mockingbird

Season one ends in a way that feels complete if you stop there. Season two isn't horrible, but I've never been able to make it through the whole season without losing interest

Dustin Mikkelsen

I haven't watched Westworld yet, but my brother-in-law swears by it, so I'll eventually check it out ... and your reactions.

Cindy Beach

A lot of people loved season 2 more than season 1. It does answer some questions you’re going to want answered. S3 was a Covid disaster they pulled together just to put out something. S4 has Aaron Paul (Jessie from BB) and has an interesting plot, but not must watch TV. They had a chance to make something really special but the pandemic and studio executives ruined the original intent. They should have just made a movie, in hindsight. Would have been the bomb. Like The Matrix or The Terminator.

Gummybear

I think you’d be doing yourselves and the series a huge disservice if you stopped at season 1. I honestly think this shouldn’t even be left up to a poll. It’s like with game of thrones or other shows that have very polarizing later seasons I don’t think those got a poll, you just committed to the journey and I think you should do that with westworld as long as you are enjoying it. The seasons are not long either.

Gummybear

Season 3 and 4 are still worth it imo.

Gummybear

Not true at all, you just didn’t get it it seems

John Neiberger

Honestly, I'm already struggling to stay interested in season one, which I've seen once or twice before. It's good and absolutely worth watching, but I tried to watch season two a couple of different times and never made it more than an episode or two into it. Not sure why, but I couldn't stay hooked.

A L

Aaron Paul is also in season 3.

david p

Season 2 has possibly the best episode of the series in it (not saying where, exactly) so absolutely yes. It also completes the story season 1 leaves you with. After that, it’s up to you regarding s3 and s4.

DRIP DROP

Naaa but DEFINETLY not s3 and s4 it gets sooo bad lmfao

Cindy Beach

Guess I forgot. Like most of S3. It was so weird. Didn’t the studio burn down? Should have been a sign.

Konstantinos II

Absolutely yes. Season 2 has more variety, more action, and is generally more exciting as things really start to pick up. Some of the best episodes in the entire series are in Season 2. The main point is that I’m sure you’ll enjoy it more than Season 1 because of the increased variety, the stronger action, and that its generally more exciting to watch. At the very least season 2 should be included.

TM2

As much as I enjoyed seasons 1 and 4, I'm not sure it's worth trudging through 2 and 3 to get to 4. Two was a mixed bag, and three was an out and out disaster of a season.

PongPong31

I know of that which you speak of. One of the best episodes of television in general.

Fuzzy Dunlop

I just want season 1 of Spartan Gets Fuzzy from the Airport.

Demo

Season 2 is incredible still, not sure how that narrative started. I can see skipping 3&4 but definitely not 2

Demo

My favorite episode of the entire series

Gummybear

I wish I could say more to defend season 3 and 4 from all the overzealous hate but it would be giving too much away so I’m trying to be vague as possible. I think the reason why so many people dont like the later seasons is because it wasn’t what they expected; People got too focused on the obvious story and not the greater one, which was the core of the show all along if you were paying attention. While the quality does drop off somewhat compared to season 1 (as with most shows) I think the real hate stems from a lack of understanding and appreciation for the shows central themes and exploration. There are things that could have been executed better but it’s still worth a watch and even more relevent in todays society

Yoshio

S2 is a good wrap up to an important story arc so if you're up for it, that's a good place to get to and have a solid feel for the series if you're still vibing with it.

Richard Ramirez

Watch season 2 for sure and the way one will end u will want to IMO.. I would watch the whole series even if its not peak just cause once u started just commit to it. This is not like true detective where seasons are separate stories, this is one story...

Ryan Cook

Seasons 2 is a must imo. Season 3 was fine to me.

Drew

I would love a complete watch honestly I’m confused that it’s a question. Seasons 3 & 4 are extremely different but it’s all the same story and it makes perfect sense for where this world is heading. I understand that a lot of people just liked the small sandbox style of the first season but things just keep getting bigger and they expand on the story in creative and logical ways that I just absolutely loved all the way through the final season. I’LL BE HAPPY WITH WHATEVER YOU DECIDE but I think you guys would be missing out on some amazing thought provoking television if you stopped mid way

Drew

YES! This right here! Watch season 2 absolutely, then you’ll want to keep continuing. Even if later seasons maybe aren’t as impactful as the first they all are pieces of the mosaic that the writers intended for this story

Drew

100% agree! I think people got so caught up in the twists from the beginning that they lost sight of what the show is trying to say and explore. The themes are always the same, the through line between all 4 seasons is beautiful and extremely thought provoking. Some of the best I’ve seen on television personally, and they push the narrative to places I never thought they’d go, for some people it was too far removed from the basic premise of the first season. But those who knew truly understood the story knew it was necessary

Drew

I know exactly what your talking about and for a non spoiler chat I’m going to leave the name out as well

Drew

Hopefully this will be a good time to get you hooked, season two has so much action and so much fulfillment of what season 1 builds up. I hope they react to all 4 seasons because I know a lot of people never gave the later seasons the chance they truly deserved

Drew

You must! It’s in my top 5! It’s one of the best written shows I’ve ever watched. The benefit of having the creators draft out all the seasons before even starting to film the first one. A set up in season one that doesn’t pay off until season 4, it’s beautiful

James Fenstermaker

If season 1 is a 9, season 2 is a 7, season 3 is a 4, and season 4 is a 5

Alan

I personally do think season 2 is great as well. But I would rather you guys use the slot to watch a more recent show like Gen V season 2, Pluribus or Stranger Things 5 when that’s drops soon.

Gummybear

Yes you said it perfectly! I completely agree. It is very thought provoking and daring in a way that is extreme but also somehow still grounded. It’s one of few pieces of media that we have that explores these themes on a such a grand yet at the same time nuanced level. It’s a great work of true sci-fi.

Sky Alderson

It's really weird to me that this is even a question. 1/ I think when a show is started, it should be finished, especially when it's a short show like Westworld, as long as you like it. 2/ Critics about season 2 and the lastest of Westworld only exist because season one is a masterpiece. I agree later seasons are not as good, but they're not bad either. 3/ Maybe I missed it but I wonder why the question is asked for Westworld (36 episodes) and not for The Walking Dead, which is 177 f*cking episodes long, and suffered similar, or even worse critics about the quality of the show dipping seasons after seasons.

DRIP DROP

Agreed westworld is cooked

James Fenstermaker

Yeah, The Walking Dead was straight trash ever after Frank Darabont left and that was after season 1, and that show went for 11 seasons.

Clare 💕

I think season 2 is a must. Season 3 and 4 not so much.

Timo Pahde

Of course you should watch season 2... and season 3... and season 4. I have so much fun watching this show with you guys. Please, watch it in its entirety 🤗🙏❤️

Skully

I remember being totally fascinated by season 1, but equally disappointed by season 2, which felt completely different from the start. I don't think I watched more than two episodes back then, and I won't watch your reactions after the end of season 1 now either.

Toonu

Season two sure, but then it went steep downhill so I wouldn’t go for 3+.

Gummybear

Exactly this. It’s rather unfair that this show is being treated so differently when it isn’t even a big commitment compared to the other shows that have been done on the channel that have faced similar criticisms. And s&p have often enjoyed these later seasons of shows despite majority saying they weren’t as good.

Mariam91

I honestly don't know what to recommend lmao

Johnny Beever

If you enjoyed season 1 then it’s not even a question The whole show is a masterpiece, people who didn’t enjoy later seasons were probably just confused by them.

Euphemia Isobel

Season 1 and 2 are great, 3 and 4 are pointless since the show was canceled. 2 serves as a good ending of the story 1 started

Sonya Byrd

I am watching it for the 1st time with you guys bc I didn't like it years ago and stopped after like ep 3. Now... I am locked in❣️

Adam

Might be in the minority but while S3 was definitly a different show, I still enjoyed it, and S4 is really good imo

Adam

And 100% S2 is worth it

Synthetic_CK

Season 2 is good, especially since you would miss the Kiksuya episode. Such a great episode.

Mama Browsss

Once you see how the season 1 finale ends, you’re going to want to watch season 2.

Trepanation21

Absolutely watch S2. People vastly underrate S2 for whatever reason. Sure, "the magic" is a little lost just because you understand what's going on with S1's conclusion, but S2 is absolutely a great companion to the first.

Trepanation21

Or, and hear me out, they objectively lacked the things people liked about the first two seasons. Some reviews from when it aired: * "The episodes are good, the story is fine, but its nothing spectacular. Its definitely meant to be a "transition" season." * "Its not a mystery box or weird -- its a pretty straightforward linear story in big contrast to S1/S2." * "it's now a completely different show in the worst way possible IMO." * "There's some spotty technical stuff [...] it seems production had a lot of issues due to the pandemic, so it is what it is." * "I give it 2 thumbs "meh"" * "Westworld season 3 is a masterclass in how to ruin a smart, gripping, and unique show." * "Westworld Shifts Gears, and Loses Its Allure, in Season 3" * "Westworld successfully reboots itself by broadening its scope while tightening its storytelling clarity -- although some may feel that the soul has been stripped from this machine in the process." * "Season 3 is an entirely different show from what we got in season 1. And it's not even comparable in terms of writing or any other thing that made the first one so good." * "While the third season continues to impress with its visual elements and stellar cast, it also continues having issues with its writing, presenting a convoluted, messy, and often sluggish narrative that makes for another bland and forgettable outing." Hey, uh, it's not pEoPlE beINg cOnfUSeD bY iT, but if you disagree, there's a mountain of discussion out there to clarify why people feel the way they do about it. You're allowed to like it - have fun, enjoy things - but there's no need to act like it makes you smarter, goofy.

Johnny Beever

Do you didn’t understand it either 🤙🏽 off you fuck you offended little dullard

Gummybear

That doesn’t make it pointless. There’s still so much that is explored in those seasons in terms of the themes of the show

civ

i still havent found where to watch season 1 in europe

Konstantinos II

You can watch it on a site that has free to watch series and movies. Just google something like 'watch series free' or somethign like that and you will find a site, if not let me know and i can suggest one at least.

Sheri

S2 is great and a continuation of S1, so definitely watch. I think S3 & S4 are also good but it's just a completely different story, almost like a sequel or a spin-off.

J P

I’m with you, while not as good I still enjoyed 3&4

Jonas Doksaeter

Season 2 continues the same story. Season 3 tells a different story.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

I say absolutely and would think when you reach the end of s1 you’ll want to. Ultimately I enjoyed the whole journey of the show, albeit I think s3 needs s4 to make it fit, but 1 & 2 are great.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

Agree. I thought s3 wasn’t as strong, but it was improved once I had s4 to fit it all together.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

Although they didn’t get s5, I still thought the ending of s4 wasn’t actually a pretty satisfying place to conclude it.

Max Martin

I mean season 2 gives a lot of answers to a lot of the questions you've been asking, and its ending serves as a better stopping point than season 1. I might be biased because I love westworld so much, but I don't think season 1 give a lot of answers and I would be shocked if you two feel satisfied with ending the series with so much mistery on your mind. I would even argue you should watch all of the series lol but I'm realistic the metrics won't be good, it would be a bad idea for the channel. Season 2 tho is a must watch to finish most of the storylines, and I feel is still viable in terms of stats

Big Strange Beautiful Hammer

You are going to want to watch it. Whether or not you do it for Patreon I guess is what the poll is for. I say yes.

N7Phoenix115

I think the entire show is worth the watch! I loved Jon Nolan's work throughout all 4 seasons. He also is the director of the Fallout show on Prime but I think the questions asked and the intrigue you both have will push you to watch the next few seasons. Do what you are most into and if it does not feel right I would say don't force it but I truly think you both will want to continue. There is much more to be had beyond Season 1. I even preferred Season 2 more but that is just me. Love the reactions and thanks for keeping them coming!! Getting to experience Expanse and Westworld with you both is amazing!

Kyle K

Feel like youve got to see season 2 at least, 3 and 4 is when it starts feeling like a different show. (But still interesting in my opinion)

Kelschman

I loved season 1 and was disappointed by season 2 when I watched it last, but I'll give it another try if you guys decide to watch it. From what I've heard about seasons 3 and 4... I dont think they are worth the time or effort

Donny

Stop Westworld and add a third day of walking dead!😂

Farbod

I don’t really have a horse in this race but I think it’s funny that there are three choices. People that don’t care are split amongst 2 choices.

DRIP DROP

Good point.. really the 2 should just merge lol

spartanandpudgey

This wouldn't be fair to the people that actually are interested in the show. There is an audience that doesnt watch it at all... so we dont want that to sway anything

spartanandpudgey

Well the answer here is simple, when we polled westworld from the beginning it was only ever polled for S1 with a maybe o S2. the reason is that, whilst views arent everything, we do require a certain amount of engagement for a show to be worthwhile investing the time, money for editors and slot it is taking up. the reality of westworld is that there is a known S2 drop off, and S3 -4 have considerably less support and reactions to them. if we are going to lose 80% of our viewers in S3 then the reality is its not sustainable for us to do another 20 episodes of the show like that, we'd be better served watching it privately and continuing on with a show that is more desired by our community. this is our livelihood and these things need to be considered unfortunately. in TWD case, the support we are currently receiving on both Patreon and YT is massive and so while we are both enjoying the show it makes sense to continue it. We also polled the show at a minimum 6-8 seasons as our market research consistently showed respectable engagement up until this point (even though we expect a drop off after around S5). this is the reality of managing a reaction channel, we spend thousands each month on editors and other costs to run it and we have to be considerate on where we are spending this. the point of this post was to engage interest and reassure us that if we enjoy S1 and want to continue, that there is enough of a demand to justify doing so, which so far seems to be the case.

Gummybear

That’s a false equivalence

Gummybear

I don’t think it’s bad for the channel. There’s still a portion that like the later seasons and even those who don’t might still tune in for the reactions liek they did with game of thrones later seasons. It still makes for interesting tv and fun reactions. Also the show isn’t long it’s not like it would be too much oppertunity cost.

K

Yes, S2 is a must

Farbod

People that dont watch would rather have something else replace it. Just because you dont watch something doesn't mean you dont have a vested interest in that slot.

Handels

Season 1 was excellent, season 2 is required to let go

lackingnames

How is it a false equivalence? Both are much worse sequels to a critically received original work.

lackingnames

Way to make up reasons why people dislike it. People dislike it because the authors changed a great story simply because fans guessed using the foreshadowing given to them. So the authors changed it to something far worse and more convoluted just to make it "harder to guess". It's absolute dogshit compared to S1

lackingnames

It was just worse lol. S1 is objectively the best season and the others are just a drop in storytelling quality. They're still "ok", but not amazing.

lackingnames

It sounds worrisome to me that you guys spend "thousands" a month on editors considering your video quantity is fairly low-ish with only 4-5 a week. Especially considering reaction video editing doesn't require very advanced editing at all. Hope you guys arent being ripped off.

Adam

100%

David

Is there any reason y'all don't react to anime, there is so much more beyond Dragon Ball out there :D

Farbod

Mixing live action and Anime is difficult on youtube. The algorithm gets funky and unless you already have a strong anime fanbase following you, your numbers could really suffer. They were doing some anime before and the view counts just couldn't support it. Maybe they will come back to it when their following is large enough to support more content variety. They are pretty big anime fans.

David

That's understandable, I would support an Anime Patreon channel just sayin ;). Maybe its too late already, if they are anime fans already they probably watched a lot already too

Nathan Jasper

OR let them go at their pace so they don't burn out

Farbod

Or I could just voice my opinion since I am paying for it.

PeriCal

Yes but it doesn't seem like you're enjoying it much. Or you can't get over that the reveries are not real. Only watch if you want to is my vote.

Dustin Mikkelsen

I don't know how to send a suggestion, but y'all should react to the Last of the Dogmen ... I highly recommend that you purchase the DVD with narration by Wilford Brimley. Most digital releases don't include the narration, but I think the narration is essential. I'd watch either, because the movie is amazing, but the narration adds more emotion imo.

RabidMango

No need to be rude Big Strange.

Big Strange Beautiful Hammer

it is still very unexplained at this point, which is probably the biggest flaw with the show. they take so long for "the big reveal" that people are genuinely more confused than entertained about halfway through the season and a lot of people give up. it is about to get good, and about to start making more sense.

Big Strange Beautiful Hammer

I agree. I find it kind of rude to keep pestering someone after they have explained themselves.

Donny

Nah I'm selfish

Isabella Hayes-Hollands

season 2 is worth it i think, the whole show is brilliant but the last 2 seasons aren't as good. Just throwing in 'The Last Kingdom' on Netflix, its one of the best shows ever and you would both love it.

Jonathan

you probably will but its not worth the effort. i wish i could delete that shit from my brain

spartanandpudgey

we're averaging 20-25 videos a month edited and The same number of thumbnails. we're paying the norm give or take from what we know. so dont stress, there's a fair bit of editing that goes into these reactions even though it may not always appear so 😅

Konstantinos II

How you prefer mediocre writing, acting, and casting over something that’s clearly much better in all those areas is really strange.

PeriCal

Eh, I don't see the same "flaw". I've seen other reactions that were all-in from the jump. Like I was. Not confused but intrigued. Not a big deal to me if they continue or not

Jonathan Persson

Season 2 is absolutely worth it, some of the best episodes and mindfucks are happening in that season.

Nbk

No. Season 2 not as good and goes downhill after…doesn’t live up to its premise.
