BLACK SAILS OMG PLEASE. SPARTAN WOULD LOOOOOVE THIS STORY. Best writing in a period piece drama ever. Dexter is the middest of the Mid especially because of how bad it gets later on. But if they really want to see the peak of Television they need to watch The Wire, but their uncultured audience will never allow it.

Strange list; saw pretty much everything. Many good points for all of them, but for different reasons. Daredevil could be very entertaining and easy for you guys to connect. The Wire is just pure legend, but is it a good show for you to react to? Dexter, I think, is a good mix but a big show. Black Sails gets praised often but as an underdog and could fit the interest of the channel. Last Kingdom as well, but honestly, that show, while I liked it, felt like 1 season on repeat 5 times. The Sopranos, well, another good show, but I liked The Wire more – the scope was bigger for me, but even so, I don't consider it a good reaction show. Vikings is way to long and the latter seasons for me became utter garbage. The first seasons, though, were great. I gave my vote to The Wire because it's just TV history, but I think Daredevil would be better.

Some people are going to try and tell you you need to watch all the other Mavel Netflix shows along with Daredevil. Don’t believe them You don’t. Netflix Daredevil is the best thing Marvel Entertainment has ever produced. And it can be enjoyed all on its own. It doesn’t require any other shows to be understood or for context. Daredevil works all its own as a self-contained series

Why do all reactors do the exact same movies? Federico Fellini is one of the most important icons in the history of cinema. And not one movie reaction channel has touched so much as one of his films. Because they haven’t gotten the green light from other reactors to go ahead and react to his films. It takes one reactor to be courageous and step out in front. Most simply won’t do that

I have no doubt if Dexter is chosen, they will enjoy it immensely. I've seen it featured on numerous other channels. People like to watch certain things over and over again. I'm under no illusion that members of this channel will ever really take a very cerebral turn. And I can and have exercised my right to become a none paying member. This isn’t a critique of Dexter, a show that was incredibly successful. It's just a recognition of the fact that most classics will never have chance here.

Guys, Spartan and Pudgey, you need to stop always doing what the majority says and start looking into the actual quality of the shows. I’ve noticed that lately people are voting for some of the worst options on your lists, while higher-quality series get ignored. For example, Black Sails is a gem, yet it somehow ends up at the bottom. Recently people even voted for The Walking Dead, which is a really mediocre show in terms of writing and acting, and once again better series were pushed aside. If you keep strictly following whatever those voters pick, it brings down the quality of the shows you’re reacting to.

The Wire is probably objectively the best. Black Sails and The Last Kingdom are the best reaction shows with short seasons and lots of big moments. Sopranos is a pretty important moment in television history. Daredevil is a lot of fun. Dexter is like 20 good episodes

Yes but people enjoy different things. What one person likes someone else may not, and visa versa. Just because a majority prefer one thing over another does not make it "better". For example you almost never see the highest grossing films at the box office win a lot of awards. The MCU makes billions, so does Star Wars, Jurassic World, Avatar, etc. They have some good films, and some not so good ones... it doesn't mean they are the best out there, just appealing to the wider audience. My comment was essentially me agreeing with your original point and adding to it. However if you feel differently then let's just agree to disagree.

I liked Black Sails when it came out, maybe I'm misrembering but it always felt like an enjoyable B-tier show to me. Just like Vikings except i can't stand Vikings reactions and don't understand the hype at all. The Wire & Sopranos are objectively the highest quality, so much so they are in different dimensions than the other options.. but we have to accept that reaction channels are also a business, we can't expect them to tank their patreon subscriptions just to please us

It also depends on the community. It seems many TWD fans also love Dexter, and with so many patreon members that came for TWD it is no surprise to see the other popular B-tier show winning against objectively better ones. It's always a tricky thing when a reaction is so popular then the next polls always tilt on the same kind of shows. How many reaction channels have been devoured by Marvel or Star Wars hype? It always starts with "just one show" and then the fandom constantly vote to continue the same path

Maybe if it's close they'll ditch the second season of Westworld, which was awful, and take the top two from their poll. That way it would make both Dexter and Vikings fans happy. I know I won't watch Vikings reactions, it was hard enough to get through that one the first time I watched. I just prefer shows that give us something to think about and discuss, morally gray characters, some humor mixed in and good character arcs.
