I litterally own every book in this universe. I said it before but I started watching yall on patreon during house of the dragon season one and its crazy how far we've come. This is such a fun part of the Game of thrones story and it will be fun to watch along with you.

The shit scene took me right out of the show. I had to watch the rest of the episode with that in my mind. Not sure why they had to add that. Unnecessary. And disgusting. I couldn’t take him seriously after that

This takes place after House of Dragon and before Game of Thrones. It’s right in between the 2, and is several decades away from both those shows. There are no Dragons in the world at this time. That’s all you really need to know. Oh and there will be more series, series 2 was greenlit a while back.

they will have more seasons of the show there are 3 novellas within the book so each novella is going to be a season. they are actually filming s2 as we speak and i believe they said they are filming s2 and s3 back to back

HOTD and GOT are very grandious. big battles. pollitical intrigue.... but this is much more grounded. i love seeing the life of the common folk in westeros. i expect a great lore piece and a beautifull story from this.

So happy you are watching, I can’t wait to see where the story goes! I remember small details about things from GOT that characters said a few times! Especially when Joffrey talked about Sir Dunkin the Tall mocking Jaime when going through the book of the Kingsgaurd! I don’t want to spoil anything you might have forgotten so I’ll just leave it at that! 😁

I agree that it was unnecessary and stupid but if you discard an entire show because of one dumb failed joke, that's kind of on you, not the show.

Not discarding the entire show. I just hope they don’t do anymore of that kind of humor. I know they are trying to have a different tone to the show, but this guy is still suppose to be a legendary knight. I feel there should be some sort of dignity and prestige with the guy.

This went over my head the first time I watched it, but Lyonel Baratheon was trying to get someone to say that stags invented jousting. Makes a lot of sense when you think about how they smack each other with their antlers.

Loved this first episode! I read the book a while ago, I only remember one thing lol. So absolutely loving this! Dunk is such a great character!

They are already filming the second season which is expected to be "The Sworn Sword". Since they are already filming and because this show is so much more self contained than other ASOIAF adaptations the expectation is we won't go years before getting new seasons with this series.
