anyone knight can make a knight.... "even a hedge knight". lol. I think you guys are missing a huge plot point. Dunk is NOT a knight. He was never knighted. that is why he hesitated to knight the cousin. he just took the sword, shield and horse from the knight he squired for. He is a fraud. That's a big part of the story!

The GOT theme at the end was actually the GOT theme with the Dunk and Egg theme incorporated into it. The musical scores in these Song of Ice & Fire shows is the most consistently excellent aspect of the shared universe.

i feel like a good bit of the dialogue is word for word to the book that George wrote! it just goes to show how amazing a Game of Thrones spinoff show can be if they just put faith in George RR Martin and allow him to help create these shows!!

also when i was watching i didn’t notice Prince Baelor was missing from up in the podium, good catch!! originally when he came out on horseback i thought it was his son because he was actually wearing his sons armor! he was only planning on viewing the tourney, not taking part, so he didn’t bring any armor of his own!! && you’re right Pudgey!! Joffrey was talking really highly about Ser Duncan in the original series!

I freaking love this show so much. I honestly can't believe how good it is. This episode was 10/10. Duncan's appeals for one true knight damn near brought me to tears. The casting for this show has been perfect so far.

Great reaction! Interesting detail… Baelor had to wear his son’s armor. That’s why it didn’t fit correctly and the helmet was awkward to take off.

I prefer to think that Dunk didn't know he's officially not a knight because it doesn't fit his character to just blatantly lie about that. It's more like Ser Arlan said "whatever, you're a knight now" instead of doing the actual way that Lyonel did it. Kind of like how Tony Stark said that Spider-Man was an Avenger now in Avengers: Infinity War

lol I’ve been waiting for this upload because I knew Spartan was going to lose his mind at that last scene with the epic speech into an actual heroic moment from a royal. So rare in this world that we get these kind of moments from the characters in power but that makes the payoff so good.

Ugh I was tearing up at the end. I was excited for this show but had NO IDEA how much I was going to love it. Top tier, like Spartan said it is so amazing to see Dunk get rewarded finally for his goodness and integrity in this world

Calling Dunk a fraud might be a bit too far. Yes, it's heavily implied that he was never knighted, but he is more of a knight than most knights we encounter in this show. What truly makes a knight? Having someone say some words over you with a sword or your actions? Ser Steffon is more of a fraud than Dunk, but Steffon is a "real" knight.

yeah fraud sounds harsh, but that is how he sees himself. and he technically is. I suppose the whole show is about what it means to be a true knight - is it honor and integrity or is it a technicality?

Actually the book is purposefully ambiguous about it lol (best guess is he is not a knight) but at this point of the show let reactors see for themselves, it’s not that obvious, maybe Dunk just doesn’t know the words.

This show is a breath of fresh air , especially after the the terrible writing of House of the dragon season 2 . Imo Dunk and Egg are already better than every character in HOTD besides Daemon . Great reaction to that ending sequence tho guys , that scene gave me shivers when Baelor came in to fight for Duncan .

From GRRM it is a trope subversion. Knights are not necessarily honourable, and even a non-knight can be the truest knight. Even if he lied
