To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

Download this google chrome extension so once you manually sync the videos up, the extension will keep both videos synced up when you play/pause, move around in the video, etc (can also pick up where you left off if you close the windows.) Also supports videos that need to be slowed down/sped up, so you can choose the correct speed in the extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/video-sync/npplmbdcndipnaemaoljdppjodakaicn?authuser=0&hl=en&pli=1

Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

one step closer to S7E7 my favorite episode of the season.

New community unlocked

Elliot

Tara probably thinks she has died and gone to heaven, waking up on lesbian island.

o.o

its a good one. but i like 7x8 better i think.

Spartan: "How are they going to reproduce?" Ian Malcolm: "Life...uh...finds a way"

HONZA

One of the few episodes I'm not a fan of

Ivan Rasmussen

You guys are serious fans. Love how much you enjoy the show, even episodes that a lot of people don't like. Keep it up, and we're getting to some good stuff!

Korivex

I like how Negan has different men of his in charge of other groups. Simon is in charge of Hilltop and Gavin in charge of the Kingdom but he personally is in charge of Alexandria. This is also a part of why the different groups are handled differently.

Lori

The name of the new group are called Oceanside

Tom

The news must have been devastating for Tara. Though visually the focus was mainly on Denise, her girlfriend, remember that Tara also lost Glenn. He saved her when they met and he was the reason she joined our group. Remember how attached she was to him? She would follow him anywhere. So she just found out she lost two people she was particularly close to, not to mention Abraham.

Tom

And after that came home just to find out it's now hell.

So after rewatching season 7 and 8… I actually liked them so much more, so excited for yall to watch

Natalie-Anne

The actress of Tara got so much hate for this episode when it aired because of her weight gain (she had just had a baby) I just don’t understand it. People suck!

Natalie-Anne

The pacing comment Spartan made I agree with also at the time of airing we had to wait a week between episodes so when we had one like this it felt like forever since we had seen our core group at Alexandria. But trust the process, the world is getting bigger & branching out to other groups and communities keeps the story fresh and not feeling repetitive if you know what I mean 🙂

Natalie-Anne

That’s how I felt too. I think being able to watch two or three at a time helps rather than when it aired we had to wait a week between episodes

LunarioVT

Yea, its one of those episodes you watch on the first watch. And then never really rewatch it again. There is not much to it.

Kevin Diaz

its more so js because tara isnt a big enough character to have a whole episode to her

Bill B.

Interested to see this reaction. It’s my second least favorite episode. Have never given it a rewatch since it aired live though.

Bill B.

Ok, I like this a lot better now. Found the same experience as with “Easy Street.” When they aired a week apart it was tough to have these episodes focused on one or two characters. This one, six weeks after the season opener and we get Tara who I’d kind of forgotten about. In the 5 weeks since the intro we saw Daryl once (twice but in one episode he did nothing), Carol, Morgan, Ezekiel, Jesus, Sasha, Maggie just once, and Rick and Michonne and Carl twice, maybe? So when I realized this episode was about Tara, Heath who we barely knew, and some new people, all I thought was oh crap, it’s going to be ANOTHER week of an isolated episode, I just want to see the group back together. Much better watch second time around, also with the ability to just go watch the next episode if I want.

Lumen

Yeah I’m a big Scott Gimple defender, I think he made TWD what it was and I’m so grateful for him. But I don’t understand why the choice to keep mostly just one or a few characters we know and love per episode in season 7. Like, it’s fine that the main group is split into so many different communities, but why can’t we go between several different settlements each episodes to touch base on them all as opposed to dedicate entire episodes to each character and their respective settlement making us wait so Danny long to see our favorite characters? It just doesn’t seem like a smart decision to structure this season that way, or mostly that way.

Lumen

People do suck but also the “so much hate” to which you are referring is just some comments online. TWD audience is begged than what you will find on Reddit and YouTube.

Lumen

It’s normal to not pick up on this at first but anyone who pays attention will eventually realize what you just pointed out and that will help understand Negan, what he stands for and what he doesn’t and where and why there is room for enough of a breach in his regime.

Lumen

That’s a dumb joke.

Paul

I would have to disagree a bit with Spartan, at least in spirit. Trying to assassinate Negan is in a way dumb, sure, whoever takes over even if successful might retaliate and murder everyone back in Alexandria for it. But ultimately, I never fault the oppressed from trying to resist, even rashly. If there are consequences for it, the blame is 100% on the tyrant, not the slave trying to fight back. And given the unfathomable sadistic cruelty of Negan, I side so heavily with Rosita and Carl's rage. Pragmatically though, it would be wiser to take it slow and methodically plan out your resistance, agreed on that front. And they didn't specifically have to attack the satellite outpost, but The Saviors would have found Alexandria eventually and start enslaving them too. The fight was inevitable. The whole bit about no one being evil, moral relativism irks me greatly. The Saviors are absolutely evil, and I love how Tara pushes back on that. And indeed like Spartan said, she hasn't even seen Negan in action yet.
