This episode is one of the good ones from this season, slow but very enjoyable

Syd F

Richard with a King Richard like speech. Thoroughly underappreciated character and actor 👏 👌

Fun fact (Not a spoiler); The long haired Saviour 's name is Jarred, and the actor is an Aussie. Master-class performance from the young guy, cos you just want to punch him every time he talks lol

Some episodes in this season are a bit slow but they are important to the storyline, I think people just couldn’t get over Glenn 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m honestly not a huge fan of S8 cause I feel like the storyline could’ve been shorter. I think S8 and beginning of S9 could’ve been one season, but I know S8 is a lot of people’s favorite.

You 2 are very strange on who you actually like in this show like I’m glad Morgan got rid of that dude

Imagine watching season six finale. Waiting for 7 months to watch the devastating premiere of season 7. Then, week after week, watching Daryl being captured, Rick without hope, getting episodes about the Oceanside or whatever, waiting another week for the main story to get back. Mid-season finale (yay, we are going to do something) and another 3 months or so for episode 9. It was dragging like hell. I remember watching it with my husband, week after week, waiting for something to happen. And it was frustrating. I can see the difference when I watch your reactions - 2 episodes a week, no breaks lasting MONTHS - it's not the same as watching it back then. If any show was made for a binge model, it would be "TWD" after season 5-6. And now you can watch episode after episode and it's moving quite fast. In my memories, waiting for Daryl to get back to the group, was like weeks. And it actually was when you count it - almost two months. Not saying that season 7 was 100% boring but the way it had to been watched cause of TV rules - it dragged like no other season before it.

"After that speech?!" That was some Spencer-shit. He got what he wanted, he doesn't get to dictate how that goes, he's had enough of that. People, please. :D

Truly phenomenal episode. I think this season is amazing, the first half really embodies the phrase “when you get knocked down get back up again” and realistic grieving. It’s slower and tough to see Rick and co so defeated but it’s beautifully done imo. This episode is one of my favourites of the entire series, the slow build up to Morgan’s crash out is masterful. Such a beautifully written, deep and very symbolic episode and show. Morgan is an amazing character and Lennie James is stellar. Melissa McBride is equally incredible as Carol. I understand Spartan’s frustration and desire to see demon Carol back but I personally found her arc from s6 until now so realistic and so affecting. Carol and Morgan have one of the most interesting dynamics and are two of the greatest actors on the show and that I’ve ever seen tbh.

True, although - did you watch it when it was on AMC or on streaming? Cause that one, "tiny" factor, changes a lot when it comes to enjoying this season.

Love you guys but one thing I dont understand is you get extremely mad at rosita for wanting to go rogue but you praised richard for going rogue and both him and rosita were going rogue and wanting to die after, hopefully you wont be so hard on rosita anymore

Jack

yea Richard had a good speech but his desperation to be sacrificed got a kid killed not to mention the fact he wanted to kill Carol secretly, to me it seemed like after ben died and not him he thought he had a second chance to lead in the war against the saviours. I get it yea he had cool speech and went thru a lot but that does not redeem him in any way. In the end he got what he wanted and it turned everyone against him

Eric

We found it boring because of the pacing and bottled episodes. You had to wait 5-6 months for the fight to actually happen in the finale. Even after the premiere we didn't see the aftermath of our group until episode 4! That's 3 whole weeks of waiting. Watching it live was a drag
