These are from Star Wars The Old Republic MMO. Each cinematic serves as a trailer for an expansion. These are all they made.

Technically this is from a different time period than anything done by Disney. Disney is free to make any of this canon. I believe Revan is canon already.

knights of the old republic, not this but the original xbox game kinda ruined star wars movies for me. The game was so good, crafting your own lightsaber, selecting the color of the crystal, choosing light or dark, all the abilities. Movies always felt like older back where games open the doors.

It's interesting looking at it from both sides. Both the Jedi and the sith see truth in their own limited perspectives and they both are willing to manipulate to get what they think is right done. They're not that far removed from each other honestly. It's just the Jedi justify their actions and the Sith don't feel the need to.

The Sith is actually a race of people…remember the red guy from the first video from this? That’s a Sith but they took the Sith name and made it their own basically. It’s a whole story behind it and i definitely recommend finding a video about it. The Jedi banished a group of they own and those 7 came in contact with the Sith race learning about the dark side and stuff.

Fun Fact- Darth Malgus- the resilient sith lord you keep seeing; once they take over the Jedi Temple he kills his wife afterwards to separate himself from any personal weakness' (the blue twilek whos fighting with him in the cinematic);

There actually is an armor that can withstand a lightsaber, its called Beskar, its worn by Mandalorians, like Jango Fett, Boba Fett, and Din Djarin, the name of the main character in The Mandalorian. Jango's didnt protect him from Mace Windu because Mace got him at the neck. Its a INCREDIBLY VALUABLE and rare to non-Mandalorians because they, as a people, forbid outsiders from possessing it.

The rule of two didn't get established until Darth Bane around 1000 BBY. This is well before that, around 3600 BBY. There was no rule of two at that time.

That girl with the double-sided blue lightsaber is Satele Shan. You are talking about insane raw power in the Force forged by YEARS of brutal war against the Sith. She is a BEAST. That move she used to absorb the lightsaber is called Tutamenis. It’s what Yoda used to absorb and reflect both Dooku’s and Sidious’ lightning. It’s an extremely advanced technique. Darth Malgus ( the bald tank) is an Old Republic Darth Vader. He has a brilliant mind for strategy and war tactics, isn’t so good at politics, and is insanely powerful. He prefers to murder everything as a diplomatic strategy. He and Satele are just two examples of the insane Force users that populated the Old Republic.

I hope you read all these lore dumps! The brothers with the yellow sabers are twins, Arkann and Thexan. Their father is the most powerful Sith to have ever lived. He went by many names, the two most prominent are Vitiate and Valkorian. He lived for 4,000 years using esoteric Sith rituals absorbing the Force powers of other beings. He was the leader of the Eternal Empire, which fought against both the Old Republic and the Old Sith Empire. His goal was to rule over the entire galaxy, and he got pretty damn close. He used his sons to defeat the two previously mentioned factions, whose flags you saw the twins unroll at his feet. He used many other individuals to accomplish his goals, including his daughter Vailin, who became Empress after he was finally killed by an Old Republic Anakin Skywalker, Lord Revan. His daughter was an unprecedented powerhouse, with the same destructive output as a black hole in the lore. Her feats are insane. Valkorian, for 4,000 years, acted as a puppet master for both the Sith and the Republic, making them weaken each other until he finally took over. Even Malgus served him. That’s how powerful he was.

There are a lot of hidden dark side places buried by the jedi order across the galaxy, including under the temple in Coruscant. In the very lower levels, sealed and forgotten there is an ancient sith temple, and it is theorized that the darkness in it clouded the jedi sight, all the way to the prequels, when they cant sense Palpatine. Also, yeah, there is a material called Beskar, that can stop a lightsaber, but it is only found in mandalorian armor, and not even all mandalorians got their hands on it.

This was fun. I havent watched these videos in years. After a while (I'm 40 now) you forget how exciting and engaging a piece of content can be. Even with characters you dont know or aren't attached to. Those are the kinds of things we (star wars fans) used to scour message boards and chat rooms for. If you want more short form stuff like this Star Wars: Visions is cool. There are some great stories/episodes.

This was such a great era of Star Wars. These cinematics were basically ads for an MMO that expanded on the stories told in "Knights of the Old Republic" 1 & 2. The "Rule of Two", that we see in the movies (two Sith, A master and an apprentice, one to embody power and the other to crave it), was originally created by a character from these games and then implemented by a Sith Lord named Darth Bane (amazing trilogy of books). Bane recognized that the Sith were compromising themselves by constantly challenging each other for power. By reducing the number of Sith to 2, they were able to concentrate knowledge of the force and prevent infighting, while remaining in the shadows building power. This legacy, The Rule of Two, lasted all the way until Darth Sidious and Darth Vader.

Yeah, i believe Palpatine actually gave him a horrible design on purpose as a punishment to remind him of his failure and to keep him in constant agony. Also its supposedly a powerful conduit to make him more vulnerable to Palpatines force lighting. Also something about the pain fueling his anger and thus deepening his connection to the darkside.

Yeah, no, Palpatine gave Vader a cheap design actually, as a sorta punishment, the constant pain being a reminder of his failure, also it is a powerful conduit so that he's more vulnerable to Palpatines Darkside force lightning

16:16 There is such an armor, called Beskar, but it’s incredibly (like INCREDIBLY) expensive and rare and created only by a specific clan - Mandalorians. And I think it’s good for the sake of the whole Star Wars universe otherwise Jedi/Sith would be too weak in comparison with guys with blasters. Still don’t understand why they don’t use regular bullets which travel faster than blasters so they wouldn’t be able to be deflected and would nail any jedi or sith down easily (at least if he is not a very great force user).

i know ive already said it in the past lol. But i Beg you do the Clone Wars Animated Show after the movies, Screw the live action shows that everyone's begging for lol. The Clone Wars show and The new Darth Maul Shadow Lord show are the literal GOAT's in terms of star wars lore, story, action, fights, characters, and media outside of the movies and the video games, and is all canon. (Hell all the animated star wars shows are literally goated and amazing must watches lol) The Clone Wars show ALONE literally shits all over all the live action shows its not even a question, In terms of literally everything. The story, the action, the fights, the characters, the lore, and it all being canon, etc etc. It is all GOATED. And having just finished the 2 part season finale of the new Darth Maul Shadow Lord show before typing this i can confidently say the same thing about that. The Clone Wars Show and The new Maul Shadow Lord show truly are far more important and far more integral must watches far more so then/before any of the live actions. And just to be clear i'm not saying the live actions are completely horrible and not worth eventually watching at all im just saying in comparison to the animated shows they are not worth rushing to before them lol. I see ya'll in the comments every movie reaction post tryna get them to do Andor next. We've been waiting for star wars from them for literal years bruh. We are here for, or at least I am here for lol Lightsabers Jedi and Sith. Not a 2 season long MINIMUM show which would take them 6 months MINIMUM to watch and react to, Spy show without Jedi Sith and Lightsabers lol. I would like to make a suggestion if you are going to do reactions to Eps 7, 8, and 9 — before watching episode 7, just do a reaction to the first official trailer for episode 7. I know it’s atypical as a reaction, but I strongly suggest it. That trailer is incredible. Everybody was SO hype for new Star Wars. It was just so peak. Hope y’all consider. You could even tag it onto the end of your Ep 6 reaction, or the beginning of your Ep 7 reaction, if you don’t want to make it its own video. 🙂

A little interesting detail in the 2 brothers cinematic ... they show that every time the brother in the light robes has fallen the brother in black robes was there to land him a hand (they deliberately show this each time in the cinematic), but the first time we see the brother in dark robes needs " a hand" then the other brother fails to give him the help he needs ... I never noticed this until I have seen another reactor(a filmproducer) point this out and it blew my mind

Heyy i love your SW reactions, if you want to dive deeper into the Star Wars universe you have to watch Star Wars the Clone Wars, theres nothing more STar Wars then that even surpasses the movies at times in my opinion. But without question it is the basic for every other Star Wars Project that followed so if you want to experience the rest of the universe fully i implore you to start with Clone Wars

The way I imagine the force blocking a light saber with her hand is somewhat similar to oil and water or a magnet that's repelling the same pole. As such it's not that the light saber is physically touching her hand but there's some kind of force bubble she's using to prevent it doing so.

Same, this game was so good. Never understood how other games were praised so much and this got criticised. That game brought the SP level of storytelling; honestly, improved it as well but most noticeably widened it in so many parallel stories and put all of this into an MMO. The creative and immersive voice acting of the entire story was and still is, in my book, unseen/unparalleled. Give this to me with new graphics and I would have difficulties finding games that could stand their equal. Christ, give me the old game in new graphics and it would take the cake.
