Wesker

can’t wait for you guys to check out the clone wars. it really gives more depth and background to the characters from the prequel movies and does a good job of showcasing events that aided anakins descent into darkness.

Miggiexrcf

I havent seen the reaction yet but im guessing the thumbnail is waay to the end with a certain force ghost. Lemme see if im right, cant wait go get home and watch the reaction!

Miloš 🇷🇸

Young Anakin Appears as force ghost and Spartan turns into the lady with math problems meme 🤣🤣

Cleaver

What an intro!

Miggiexrcf

daaang you fast forward to the end? video is over an hour long and it's only been 32 min. rip

Miloš 🇷🇸

I watched the uncut reaction a week ago brother

Holly

If I'm not mistaken, the original ending had the old guy version of Anakin come back next to Yoda and Obi-Wan. Then, when the prequels came out, they replaced that with Hayden Christensen's Anakin. Even the celebrations throughout the galaxy were modified bc that was Jar Jar you heard saying "Wesa free". There were a lot of reworkings in the late 90s to these films.

Holly

I like that Spartan noted how this is the end of the story that George Lucas intended to put out. Everything since really has been just Disney's corporate greed. I loved Andor and think it's the best thing in the whole Star Wars universe, and I actually didn't mind the coming trilogy bc I think one of the actors was really compelling in it (but I totally get the complaints too). But on the whole, episodes 1-6 were complete.

Emil

You should watch Indiana Jones next, George Lucas and Harrison Ford reunited. Basically Han Solo in the 1930s

Jon Dub

Watching it chronologically is by far the best way, have always said. Machete is interesting too, but watching it OT then PT is not it for me. Watch the ST at your peril. IMO it sucks innumberable amounts of balls and is total trash. But watch it for yourself, I always encourage people to decide for themselves.

Dreamknight942

Love this movie, and sick intro guys with the lightsabers and costumes

Forestgump

remember everything after this is non cannon fan fiction.

Tyler Clayton

Dammit Pudgy! You made me tear up and I've seen these movies a hundred times. And no spoilers. But after seeing Spartan's response to the Boys finale, I am very interested to see his take on the Disney trilogy.

Seb Tam

I'm glad to hear that you're going to see some of the series, please don't skip the animated shows, they are great, specially Clone Wars. The thing is, in order to see Ahsoka or even The Mandalorian, you have to see Clone Wars and Rebels before, I promise you that doing it that way, your experience will be a lot better. Also, there are other shows that also bring more to the table, like Maul, Bad Batch or Tales, but those aren't that necessary, unlike Clone Wars

Gilly17

Spartan man,you got this whole community behind you 🙌🏼 never be nervous to step outside your comfort zone! Was surprised when you guys did do this cosplay and it’s amazing ‼️ definitely need to do it more often like (kitara & zuko) can’t wait for more 💯

Clorox bleach G

Andor is by far the worst Star Wars show, doesn’t even feel like Star Wars.

Jeddxh

Yall love Anakins character so much you have to do Clone Wars and Rebels. Maybe not right now but definitely if you’re going to enjoy the FULL Star Wars cinema. There is so much included in the animated shows and live action tbh. As a long time Star Wars fan this was a refreshing watch for sure, I myself am happy I watched yall react in chronological order rather than release order. Enjoy your break both of you. But please don’t give up on the shows just because there is so much to watch. You will get through them and you will have a ton of supporters waiting for your reactions💯

Jordan Watson

Amazing reaction, guys! Loved the intro too! 😆 George Lucas was renowned for editing the original trilogy over the years with new effects and scenes. There were many re-releases and new editions of this trilogy! Also, for a non-lore practical explanation, Luke’s lightsaber in this one was originally blue again, but it was difficult to see against the blue Tatooine sky, so they changed it to green. Another SW show that is quite short but I think you might enjoy is the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. It stars Ewan McGregor from the prequels and takes place between Eps 3 and 4. Be cool to see you guys react to that down the line! Looking forward to more SW reactions from you guys! 🥳

Chase

They need to see Anakin in Ahsoka

Matt O'Keefe

Palpatine's blind spot was the Ewoks

Rilez

Ignore people mad about you watching in chronological order; there's really nothing wrong with it. Star Wars fans are just nuts

Evan Keal

Nah that easily goes to Acolyte.

Miggiexrcf

I was right! Hehe i think they will like obi wan and ahsoka tv show. Cant wait to see the animated reactions

Dominic

Im excited for TFA I loved the movie when it came out.

Gilly17

Also don’t count out the Star Wars animated series they have! There is a lot of different ones, the most current being MAUL 🔥

EdReedFan20

So, yeah, Prequel Anakin was indeed added in after the fact. The original version had Sebastian Shaw (the actor that was Vader unmasked) standing there (but without the charred look). I think the rationale for adding in Hayden Christensen was because that was the look of Anakin when the "real" Anakin "died" before coming Vader. Qui-Gon Jinn (Obi-Wan's master from The Phantom Menace) discovered a way to return through the force. Yoda mentions this to Obi-Wan at the end of Revenge of the Sith. But Anakin obviously never learned this (unless Qui-Gon visited him in secret to also teach him) yet he still became a force ghost. Also, I don't know if this was ever confirmed to be true or not, but I remember hearing that Endor (or rather the moon of Endor), where the shield generator was, was initially intended to be a Wookiee planet, but having that many Wookiees would've been expensive. If you think about it, Ewok is almost like an inverted Wookie. Wook E to E Wok (instead of Wook). They're also cuter and more "sellable" as a merchandise opportunity. Imagine all the Ewok plush teddy bears.

Light Yagami

What in the world are you smoking

Noah Nour

The thing that kept Vader alive was is anger and hate, the suit he got was also horrible and very bad, hurting him to keep him angry, that’s why palpatin made it so bad for him. He could have had a much better suit and robotics like General Grievous. So it was with purpose. Loved the reactions, I really hope u guys react to the clone wars and rebels Especially Clone wars, it’s sooo worth it Much love

Grant Gould

There's certainly no shortage of Star Wars TV content out there. Mandalorian seasons 1 & 2 and Andor season 2 are peak Star Wars, and some of the Clone Wars story arcs are SO freakin' good... You guys don't even know how much Anakin goodness you've got waiting for you in Clone Wars. :) If you do watch Clone Wars, start with the 2008 animated Clone Wars movie that kicks off the series. The animation's a little rough, but it greatly improves over the course of the series, and just gets better and better... As for the sequel movies, they get a lot of hate (and in some cases, deservedly so), but they have a lot of great stuff in them too. Kylo Ren has one of the best Star Wars character arcs ever.

Evan Keal

I love that you guys love Anakin so much, his actors got a lot of hate when the prequels came out

Kai

I know it’s cliche to say this (since it was a happy ending) but Episode VI has always been my favorite of the Star Wars movies (including the newer ones) 🫶🏼 And the prequels just made how VI concluded even sweeter. #teamEwok 💚

Estevan Rivera

Nahh it just doesn't have the nostalgic feel you're looking for when you watch Star Wars now, and that's fair enough to want those feelings. Just know you're very much in the minority with thinking its "the worst Star Wars show".

Holly

Don't listen to the naysayers. I actually have a feeling you guys will like the sequel. I get some of the complaints about it & I definitely share some of them (can't say until you watch them) but on the whole, they're not unwatchable and I don't think they'll be that for you guys.

Luke

Not sure if you guys already knew this, but Mark Hamill (Luke) is the voice of the Joker in Batman the Animated Series

Tyler Rains

I’m so happy you guys did chronological order. No one does. But there’s a reason George Lucas says that’s how you should watch. Your reaction series is literal text book material on why it is the best way to watch it. George did such a good job weaving it all together. Really enjoyed these reactions. I second watching Andor next. Also, you should really watch the ~movie length 2003 Clone Wars micro series (all in one watch). I’m talking the one from Genndy, not the 2008 The Clone Wars series show. It is INCREDIBLE and intentionally shot in George’s style and directly leads into Revenge of the Sith. With real direction from George. I find it vastly superior to the more popular TV show and it fits the characters and story of the Lucas 6 perfectly.

tallb

This has been great guys. Episodes 7-9 I like to not think about but I'll watch out of a morbid curiousity regardless. If you pick up the show Andor down the line you won't regret it.

lackingnames

Andor is literally the best live action Star Wars media by a long shot. It's an actual serious story, written well.

janehofstra

This was a great new perspective watching you guys journey through SW in this order! And I really hope you will watch the Kenobi series which is set between the two trilogies. I'm sure you'll get comments saying to skip it, but seeing how y'all loved the prequels and the Obiwan/Anakin relationship, I think you'll appreciate enough moments to make it a worthwhile watch!

Jay Doe

Sequels are not good and not handled well at all just watch the clone wars and all the shows

Invisigoth99

Are you deadass. Its literally the best star wars content out there

Invisigoth99

We’ll need tissues for pudgie bless her

Kamath72

I’m glad you guys stuck to your guns about the watching order. The Star Wars fandom can be particularly toxic when it comes to what order you watch the movies. I’ll never understand it. Watch it in release order, chronological order, machete order, whatever…I don’t care. Just have fun watching it!

The Magician

Anakin proved that he WAS the chosen one. He destroyed the Sith, Vader and Sidious, which brought balance to the force.

Grant Gould

Not sure if anyone’s pointed this out yet, but Luke lost his blue lightsaber in ESB (when he fell after the duel). There’s actually a deleted scene you can find online of Luke constructing his new green saber. 👍🏻

Alex Thrailkill

This reaction was SO good. Episode VI is my favorite of the saga and I love how much y’all appreciated it with the added context from the prequels. It’s really rare for people to experience these movies in chronological order, it was really cool watching you both go through this series! Any chance you’ll watch Clone Wars from 2003? It’s two (fairly) short 2D animated movies, the artist is the same guy who made Samurai Jack. It’s set between episodes II and III and adds so much depth to the prequel characters. The series from 2008 is good too, but the 2003 version is much less of a time commitment. And it has some of my favorite Star Wars scenes ever (GRIEVOUS).

Wesker

both shows are bad

Wesker

ahsoka is one of the worst star wars shows

Wesker

kylo ren?! one of the best star wars character arcs??💀

The Great Page

ya'll are really only scratching the surface of the Star Wars universe with the movies. The Clone Wars show, Kenobi, the Mandalorian, etc.

dukeywookey

Abysmal take, Easily the best star wars in the last 10 years

aduckonquack

do you guys plan on watching the clone wars?

PhoenixLRA

around the 45 min mark you said that maybe Vader was helping Luke in a way by stopping him from killing a “defenseless” palpatine in anger. i have never thought of that before but i LOVE IT. i like to imagine that you are correct even if he did it subconsciously

Peter

You should watch the Obi Wan series before moving on to the final 3 movies

MickFoley299

There are pros and cons to watching it both in release order and in chronological order. There are going to be things that change how you experience it either way, but it is also good either way.

MickFoley299

Since you have enjoyed these movies and if you want to check out some things that aren't shows or movies, then I would highly recommend some of the books. Heir to the Empire is a fantastic book and it really feels like a true continuation of the characters. This book also helped kickstart an explosion of Star Wars books in the 90's. It is the first of a trilogy and is followed by Dark Force Rising and The Last Command. There are some parts of it that don't mesh with the prequel movies but overall the story is fantastic and is so much better than the Disney movies.

Nudeldifudel

Great reaction, you really got the story and felt the emotion, what a saga and movie, Star wats is truly something special. But please do Clone Wars or Andor next, dont do the sequel movies, it will just sour the love and excitment you feel for Star wars right now. Watch them later on if you absolutely have to.

Julianjjz

not really. George always planned for 9 movies. But yes the disney movies didnt adhere to his vision at all

Joseph Walker

You guys viewing it this way has made me appreciate that chronological does work for newcomers. I've always been a release order guy, but I do see it now. I think 4,5,1,2,3,6 might be ideal. I think 4 is the best intro to the universe and it keeps the twist at the end of 5 (for the very few people that manage to not already know it). Then go back and watch how Vader happened, without knowing the ending. Then watch 6 for the rewarding finale.

Robin

need all the shows next. skip nothing!

Unam Bakumeni

Anikan is the chosen! He brought balance to the force. Just not how the Jedi thought.

Nudeldifudel

Man, Pudgey crying got me, this was so emotional and such an awesome reaction. Thanks guys.

Nudeldifudel

Looking at it that this story is the story that George intendend is good Spartan, definetly take the next movies with a grain of salt. And yeah I totally understand watching them sice they exist, but again take them with a grain of salt. They are fine movies, but disjointed and ruin a lot of things especially things connected to the main saga and this main ending. So a lot of people dont consider them canon or just ignore them.

Nudeldifudel

I would definetly recommend Clone wars first, but andor is a good choice. Clone wars definetly needs to be next though or at least before The Mandalorian, because the mandalorian references and has characters from clone wars in it.

GimmieYoSandwich

Need to watch The Mandelorian next then book of boba fett, Meybe Kenobi for the obi and darth story between 1,2,3 and 4,5,6. Pleeeeease. Dont bother with 7,8,9

Denis Jourdon

will you react to Obi Wan Kenobi spin off too ?

Yoon

I've been looking forward to this one. RotJ is my personal favourite Star Wars movie - it's the first one I actually remember watching when I was really little an,d Luke Skywalker in RotJ is my favourite character. (Luke in Return of the Jedi was also my very first crush at 5 years old. That was until 9-year-old me saw Anakin in Attack of the Clones. But, 11-year-old me then had a crush on Obi-Wan once my dad had deemed me old enough to watch Revenge of the Sith for the first time - haha) I do also agree that it was such a good idea to watch the movies in chronological order. As you said, at the end of the day, George Lucas had always intended it to be one story from start to finish. He wanted people to watch Star Wars as one linear story. With Luke's green lightsaber, it's one of the many things in Star Wars that was done due to real-world production reasons, but over the decades has formed an entire collection of theories and expanded lore. My favourite theory about Luke's lightsaber being green is that since he had gone back to Tatooine, he may have visited Obi-Wan's old home there. The theory is that the green kyber crystal came from Qui Gon's lightsaber and that Obi-Wan had kept it with him at his home during his exile. I believe in this theory as Luke's lightsaber hilt design is also almost identical to Obi-Wan's. So if that theory is true, Luke Skywalker is wielding a lightsaber based on the design of Obi-Wan Kenobi's hilt and powered by the kyber crystal of Qui Gon Jinn's lightsaber. So sweet! A kyber crystal is what powers a lightsaber - watch the Clone Wars 2008 animated series to learn more about that. The Death Star is also powered by a massive kyber crystal - watch the Rebels animated series to see the story of how the Empire got their hands on that. Speaking of Clone Wars and Rebels, once you've finished watching the movies and you're ready to start watching the many Star Wars shows, I think it is really important that you watch the Clone Wars (2008) and Rebels animated shows first. Out of all of the Star Wars shows, in my opinion, these two shows are the ones that introduce the most new characters and delve the deepest into the world-building and the expansive lore of the galaxy. The Clone Wars especially feels kind of like the Histories and Lore videos from Game of Thrones, except made into an actual ongoing story and series in its own right. If you loved being immersed in the history and lore of Westeros, the history and lore of the Star Wars Galaxy have been around and constantly expanding ever since 1977. Except for the Expanded Universe (an entire archive of novels, comics, video games and other media created by fans and Lucasfilm alike since 1977, that has since been decanonised by Disney), the Clone Wars 2008 and Rebels shows are where most of that history and lore can be found. Also, when introducing my dad to the Star Wars live-action shows, a lot of them assume you have already watched Clone Wars and Rebels. There are a lot of new characters that are introduced and fully fleshed out in Clone Wars and Rebels, only to be brought back into live-action shows with very little introduction - which my dad found to be quite jarring. To save myself from having to summarise an entire character's story or an entire lore concept, I found it better to just show him Clone Wars and Rebels first, and then we'd continue picking up the live-action shows. Save yourselves that trouble and just start with them instead. Hope this is useful :)

Tylor Stafford

We don’t care about your opinion buddy

Kiwi Tennille 🥝

I really enjoyed that you watched them in this order. It was sooooo good!! I didn't expect it but you were totally right. That was really emotional, i cried with Pudgy. Lol

Stoned Misthios

Watching Star Wars Chronology is the preferred way of George Lucas. I luv introducing new fans to SW in the timeline order bcuz as this reaction proves, it literally hits different. My thoughts on Release order is that its cool but in my opinion the least interesting way to experience star wars for the 1st time. Sure its the og way of experiencing it but its the inferior way. Imo.

Ammaar Ahmed

This is literally a minority opinion- like the most minority opinion to exist

Ammaar Ahmed

As I posted on the uncut. Leia is actually Anakin’s daughter (looks like him, has his passion and stubborness) and Luke is Padme’s son (looks like her, has her quite strength and faith). Someone said that Anakin didn’t recognise Leia as his daughter because she was a reflection of himself, but was drawn to Luke because he was reminded of Padme. In the end it took Padme’s son that reminded of her so much to save him. The entire point was to save her and he lost her. He couldn’t do that again. AND THIS IS WHY CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER IS THE BEST. You can’t get these emotional beats the other way.

Tray Hard

Andor! Please do that! I promise you will enjoy that

MateoP

Remember the same people that said to not watch it in this order are the same ones that like the acolyte 🤣🤣 don’t do it 😭

DeathSwitch

The best Star Wars content is the thing that is the least like Star Wars isn't the win you think it is. Reality is, if everyone was honest with themselves, nobody really cares about Cassian as a character. The most important thing he ever did we saw in Rouge One which wasn't even part of the original 6 Star Wars films. Its Disney fanfiction.

DeathSwitch

Clone Wars is epic. Rebels is a close secone. Its also worth noting that there will be a ton of things from Clone Wars and Rebels in the other Star Wars shows so as much as "watch hours of animated content next" sounds daunting, you guys watched and loved Naruto so I know you have the patience for peak Clone Wars.

thebirdcatcher1

Trying to gatekeep "real Star Wars" and thinking you speak for everyone's true feelings is not the own you think it is. This is the exact reason why Star Wars cant grow up and why we'll continue to get "fanfiction" slop. I can just as easily argue that Cassian is the best character of any we've met since the OT. Do better.

Nick

The intro 👻

Holls Flynnigan

Yes they did quite a few edits to the old trilogy to make it feel more cohesive with the prequels! The original version of this episode had the older Anakin actor (that we see when Luke takes off the helmet).

Stephen Patrick

There are only 3 Star Wars movies. And even those got ruined. I said what I said. In a way Lucas ironically became Vader.
