I'm curious to see what yall think! Thanks again for continuing the star wars journey 💙

Dustin Mikkelsen

Art is subjective, but I did chuckle at you guys liking the "villain" characters again. Personally, I liked VII, and thought this one was okay. I hated the gambling planet though, when I do a rewatch, I fast forward through those scenes ... I don't know why.

No Tap

The discussion this movie created was simply unbelievable. God I wish I could go back to 2017 to relive it.

TM2

Because they are terrible, and if fully removed from the story would have zero impact on the rest of the plot.

Ricky

Just passing by to make the suggestion of watching 3 episodes per video, when you watch Andor :) since they are generally short and the series is divided in arcs of 3 episodes

LSafe4HouseD

Impressive, everything you all said about this film was right. You all nailed your Luke opinion for this film as well. I love TLJ. I can certainly understand why people don’t as far as some of the story telling. But I thought this felt more fresh and closer to that Star Wars feeling than TFA. Glad you all were able to enjoy it!

jacoby

can y'all PLEASE watch clone wars, it is the greatest Star Wars series and will make star war 100 times better!!!!! Love y'all reactions, keep going!

EdReedFan20

Luke died at the end because he had completely closed himself off to the force, so the effort he used at the end was too much for his body, but, like Rey said, she could feel that he died with peace and purpose. Also, when you see Leia in the final film, a lot of Carrie Fisher's appearance is from unused footage from The Force Awakens, with some clever editing and, when needed, digital doubles. 7 and 9 have the same director (J.J. Abrams).

Man I hate this movie so much. This re affirmed it for like the 10th time but there's not 1 or 2 bad parts its just the whole movie is disrespectful to star wars from start to finish

Coffee Brainzz

12:40 YOUR FACES!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Disney Thought They Were SOOOO BRILLIANT With That Scene!! Even Brand New Fans Know No Matter What Happened In Luke's Life, There's No Way In Hell He Would Toss It Over His Shoulder Like A Joke.... 😮‍💨 Let Alone Abandon His Friends And Try To Kill His Best Friends Son In His Sleep JUST CUZ There Was A Hint A Whiff Of Darkness. The Man Who Brought Vader Back To The Light...... Thx Disney StarWars 🤡😋. I'm very surprised to her you both liked it at the end! Considering your reactions throughout the whole film felt like your faces were saying "that's not right" but perhaps the ending was climatic enough to fort about the little things piled up by the end? Curious to see your ep 9!! Great vid guys ♥️

Spaz 'n' Megz

You guys would love the Obi-wan Kenobi mini-series

Jacob Seeloff

still patiently waiting for Andor

AlohaMrHand

They seem to be having a lot of fun but I would expect Andor/Mandalorian first given their personal preference

Yoon

If it helps, the internet is full of compilations of Luke Skywalker's actor - Mark Hamill - giving his rather unfiltered take on his character in this movie. And my goodness, what he says is so true.

Yoon

I guess no one mentioned it last time, but in The Force Awakens, in the vision sequence. There is the voice that says, 'Rey, these are your first steps.' That is the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The 'Rey' part is Sir Alec Guinness, who played Obi-Wan in the Original Trilogy, and then 'These are your first steps' is Ewan McGregor, who played Obi-Wan in the Prequel Trilogy. This is kind of why, at the time the Sequels were being made, one popular fan theory was that Rey was somehow a Kenobi. Got to love when nostalgia bait is used to just confuse the audience for no reason at all. Another random tidbit, the actress who plays Captain Phasma - the chrome stormtrooper - is Gwendoline Christie. She played Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones.

Jordan briggs

So when are you guys going to watch the obi wan Kenobi series?

LX

Mark Hamil also did countless videos denouncing this movie saying him and George created Luke and he sat with the character for more than 40 years and the only way he could film this version was to convince himself he was playing someone else because he was so different from luke in his actions and thoughts. Remeber Rey also bested him in the film, the great Luke Skywalker bested by Rey in this movie and ahe basically tells him what to do as she seems like the one guiding himthw whole time. Kylo also has no excuse to not beat her if he supposedly has more potential than vader and was training since he was a child and also trained with snoke they only reimagine and refilmed the scene to make her win in the first movie because a women producer said shes tired of seeing women get their asses kicked wich has nothing to do with star wars lore. Thes people making the movies dont understand the story or care. They also butchered Yoda and made him act like the 10 sec of goofy we see in ESB when he waits tillafter luke is frustrated then tells obi he was testing the boy who had no patience. After that we see the same yoda we seen in all 3 prequel films. The first 6 films and the clone wars were all basically useless and say luke and Vader aren't the chosen ones in this story it seems Rey is, and snoke somehow took how the rebellion we know and love, somehow by destroying them almost completely but we dont see it through out the films without explanation its never brought up how power shifted back into the first order. Disney joke quips like chrome dome seemed forced throughout these movies i can see how they just dont belong in star wars many dans complained about the jokes. Worth checking out the Fandom thoughts online it gets a lot deeper this movie is abysmal its not a star wars film in the eyes of the fans.

Grant Gould

Hah :) This one's easily my LEAST favorite of the sequels; I really like the Rey/Kylo stuff, but everything else = not so much. But I do love hearing your thoughts & getting your fresh perspectives, though. Most Star Wars fans are all so judgmental based on what they grew up with, ya know? So it's nice to hear the opinions of people who are new to the franchise & don't have all these pre-existing stubborn attitudes, etc.

Ngewakl Soaladaob

We have the same opinon. I liked this one better. Was blinded by nostalgia with 7, this one sort of expanded the universe to become more than just the Skywalkers. Unfortunately, 9 lost me.

Sentient Inuit

The look on Spartan's face hahahaha - please please watch Last Kingdom. Utred will bring back that smile!

Demented Avenger

I haven't watched this movie again since its release. 8 and 9 are my least favorite Star Wars. I'll be interested in seeing how I feel after watching it again with you guys.

Holly

Spartan liked Kylo Ren. He's intriguing. That's the power of Adam Driver. He made this trilogy work for me.

Holly

I loved the mind connection between them. I love the Ren & Kyko Ren dynamic. Again, Adam Driver is so beautiful. So much presence and acting chops

Patrick Albrecht

Well, in my opinion it's the worst Star Wars movie, but I'm glad for you guys, that you liked it. I could imagine that it helps to approach it with not the highest expectations. You have to imagine how pumped everyone was back in the days when it came out, it was a whole different scenario.

Nudeldifudel

Really suprised you liked admiral holdo, and so immideatly

Nudeldifudel

You liked everything about this? Even how Luke was basically nothing like the luke we know?
