---------------------------------------------------------------------------Full Length Reaction GuideWe take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

Download this google chrome extension so once you manually sync the videos up, the extension will keep both videos synced up when you play/pause, move around in the video, etc (can also pick up where you left off if you close the windows.) Also supports videos that need to be slowed down/sped up, so you can choose the correct speed in the extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/video-sync/npplmbdcndipnaemaoljdppjodakaicn?authuser=0&hl=en&pli=1

Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

CAR ACCIDENT ALERT 🚨 hopefully you read this one in time as it’s more ahead of time, lol. But in the season finale, so episode 12, there’s a car crash that’s when Dexter is driving a car by himself (so hopefully that narrows it down for when you get prepped, but I think it’s at least halfway through). This is one of my fave episodes of the season because of the bonding with Astor!

I truly believe that this whole Dexter narrative (seasons 1-4 peak and after huge drop-off) is such an annoying and harmful piece for reactors. I'll explain almost all Dexter reactors mention this and its because so many people in the comments are like Dexter falls off after season 4 so people watching and reacting go in with that mindset and knowledge that its some held belief amongst the Dexter fandom but I truly believe that if nothing was said or known then reactors feelings and thoughts would be different. So long story short is Dexter season 4 was an incredible season and the show at its peak but season 5 is an amazing season and is much more loved by the fans than credit is given and also for example I love season 3 but its also felt strongly that season 3 is weaker than 1,2 and definitely 4 so this whole Dexter seasons 1-4 is peak is already nonsense and ill go further and say most people would put season 5 ahead of season 3 or atleast acknowledge that's its close. I want reactors to watch and judge season 5 on season 5 not on oh all these people says 1-4 is peak and after its shit because what I see is all reactors love and really appreciate season 5 while also acknowledging yeah season 4 was incredible but no spoilers but people also love the season 6 ending and season 7 is considered by many as top level and Dexter back to its best.

Re: your end of episode convo. Yeah, season 5 is one of my favorites because of the character development of Dexter during it, because in less concerned with having some crazy “big bad” killer.

Getting back with Astor was great and things like that always brings out a different side of Dexter. And seeing Dexter and Astor being stubborn on the sofa is probably Spartan and Pudgey during a disagreement 😂

S5 has become more beloved by fans in recent years but Spartan makes a great point and seems synced into what this season is actually trying to accomplish. After the way S4 ended, you can't just bring in another Trinity and make that the centerpiece of the story. S5, at its core, is about Dexter picking up the pieces after Rita's death and trying to atone for his mistakes. The villains aren't meant to be a huge focus because the story is so much more complicated and introspective this time around. Dexter and Lumen are both coping with trauma and grief; they see in each other a path to healing. I just think that's a beautiful direction to take the story and it's why I think S5 is so underappreciated.

Alright every time I see JLM show up in this season I'm like "Spartan and Pudgey need to react to Hackers"

I'm so over the "Dexter sucks after S4" narrative. People are so basic! S5 is my favorite. I love S6. S7 is EXCELLENT (and also contains my favorite 'villain' in the entire show). Ultra controversial take, but I even enjoyed a lot of S8, and actually enjoy that entire season *more* since New Blood and Resurrection came around and totally redeemed anything weird/bad about it.

Season 5 is also my favourite and season 7 contains my favourite villain in the entire show. We are 100% on the same page. Season 8 is where I draw the line though lol I won't crap on season 8 but yeah its not good and nowhere near the standards but I do agree that New Blood and Resurrection are incredible and do redeem. Resurrection is peak and definitely the show back at its best or even above its best.

agreed the only season of dexter which i think is bad is season 8 even the spin offs have been very good
