To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

Download this google chrome extension so once you manually sync the videos up, the extension will keep both videos synced up when you play/pause, move around in the video, etc (can also pick up where you left off if you close the windows.) Also supports videos that need to be slowed down/sped up, so you can choose the correct speed in the extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/video-sync/npplmbdcndipnaemaoljdppjodakaicn?authuser=0&hl=en&pli=1

I forgot all about the car crash. Glad u were made aware. Great season and wished Lumen had stuck around. She definitely pulled the heart strings of Dexter. And how crazy to think that Deb was standing in front of Dexter with only a piece of plastic keeping her from knowing. Great reactions to this season!!

Luca

hi guys glad to hear my warning for the crash helped. Now what im wondering is if in the future you want to know the timestamps as well so you exactly know when the crash happends or not because i feel like pudgey cant really enjoy the episode as much bc she always needs to be cautious when there is a car scene putting earphones out etc. or would you rather not know the exact timestamps cause i feel like its also i little spoiler-ish ? Greetings from Germany ;)

spartanandpudgey

Hey!!! Appreciate the warning again. Ummmmm, we don't get to see the timestamps when we are reacting anyways... but maybe a small detail of what the scene beforehand looks like. 🥰

Daniel Lewis

Quinn knows it was liddys blood and he knows Dexter cleared him. Quinn also knows that Dexter killed Liddy but they now have a clear unspoken agreement. Pudgey as per usual is 100% correct. Quinn was done with Liddy and completely dropped the Dexter thing partially for Deb but also because Quinn’s job was on the line and Liddy was unstable and unreliable so Quinn is saying I know what you did but I also know what you did with the blood for me so thankyou I owe you let’s call it even and quits. Dexter clearing Quinn with the blood work was his way of offering peace with Quinn and a truce. Quinn has shown to be a very morally grey character and a somewhat dirty cop all though not a bad guy.

Manu

I agree with the first part, but I don't think that Quinn is certain that Dexter killed Liddy. To everyone else, it seemed like Quinn had killed Liddy, but he didn't do it. To Quinn, it seems like Dexter killed Liddy, but perhaps Quinn believes that Dexter might also be innocent in this case. From Quinn's point of view, it's possible that Liddy was surveilling other people besides Dexter and Lumen. I could be wrong though and maybe we will find out in future episodes. 😉

Tatyana Zinger

I was thinking about this too, since I left a message with that warning but didn’t know how to describe without spoiling the scene (ie “when Dexter is driving to the camp” would be a spoiler) but now I’m thinking it could’ve been something like “when Dexter is driving a RED car” and that would’ve not given anything away. Just giving this tip for others in the future too as I don’t know the car stuff in season 6 and 7… I know there’s a car crash in season 8 but we’ll get there

Austin

What's with all the hidden comments? 😭

spartanandpudgey

some new stupid setting of auto moderation, we turned it off

The beauty of this season is that it wraps things up in a very different fashion to the previous seasons. Unlike Lila and Miguel, Lumen is not only not caught up in darkness but she is actually able to move past it entirely (because of Dexter's help) Unlike what happened with Doakes, Dexter doesn't frame Quinn and Quinn is able to move on from it Unlike previous seasons, Deb is level headed and less black and white than she had been. S5 really is such an underrated season because instead of trying to one up S4, it goes in a different direction.

Zane Platt

He absolutely knew that Dexter killed him

Zane Platt

I found the Lumen/Dexter relationship really beautiful and felt the same way Pudgey did. Because of Dexter's help, she was able to get away from her darkness. It may have ended in a bitersweet way for Dexter, but he genuinely helped another person and saw that someone's darkness can be cured

Mike

I think its abundantly clear that Quinn very strongly thinks Dexter killed Liddy. I don't think he knows 100% because in his mind there is always a possibility, if not VERY small possibility, that something unfortunate came back to bite Liddy in the ass. Hell the look Quinn gave Dexter at Miami Metro when they were heading out to go to the scene of Liddy's death and then Quinn very pointedly asking Dexter what he thinks happened and for a wild guess when how would Dexter possibly have any idea unless he thinks Dexter did it. As to what Quinn might be suspicious of, all the stuff Liddy was telling him about Dexter and Lumen obviously, especially with the pictures of them hauling heavy luggage on the boat that Liddy described as could have had a body in them and then coming back with them gone. I don't know if Quinn is still hard on the line about Dexter having something to do with Rita's death as the Trinity Killer's son didn't confirm his theory with the stitched together sketch. I think he may be leaning towards that not being anything and he just happened to catch on to something sketchy Dexter IS doing, though what exactly he obviously has no hard proof or exact idea of. I don't think Quinn is really a morally gray character in the sense of how we are thinking. Cause largely he is a good guy. He just seems to me to be a good guy who as a cop tends to skirt outside the lines every now and then in ways he thinks cause no harm or aren't a big deal. I think Quinn probably will let Dexter slide on Liddy with him doing Quinn a favor and hiding the blood evidence. Liddy was dangerous and unhinged as Quinn was starting to see more and more so I don't think he's that torn up about it. He knows Dexter is suspect AF for whatever he is doing in his free time (or apparently during his work hours too a lot lmao). But unless he decides to dig into that further himself, he may just leave it as is cause he doesn't know and Dexter really did keep him out of prison and more importantly for Deb's sake.

Mike

Also man this show is fun to watch again lol haven't watched it in over a decade so I have forgotten just about everything that happens, although the characters and everyone that shows up and stuff that happens ring true and familiar when I see them again. Still loads of fun

Jo

Quinn definitely knows Dexter did him a solid and also that Dexter killed Liddy. Quinn is staying silent now because he knows Dexter helped him out with the blood work.

AFLO

I don't think Quinn knows Dexter killed Liddey. He's been hunting him down and then all of sudden he'll let him go because of Deb? Doubt it. Quinn wouldn't let Dex go for killing a innocent cop imo.

Jamiefishing7

I've watched it many times all the way through. He suspects maybe but also Dexter said "maybe one of his past things came back to bite him" and Quinn hears that too, he basically doesn't know which one is true and he's just happy that Dexter done him a solid and fudged the bloodwork. It is unclear what Quinn is thinking, one way or the other.

Paul

There's a lot of theories about that. I'm not sure where I land. I do think Quinn has a high survival instinct.

Paul

Great Reaction & I absolutely love Lumen and Dexter together, but it's undeniable that leaving was best for her long-term. Regardless of Dexter's intentions, his darkness casts a wide net indeed as we've seen over the past 5 seasons.

Nanners

I’m so behind on your Dexter vids. Just getting caught up! I love how things are tied up in this finale, especially how they leave things between Dexter & Quinn. They could have easily taken it the Doakes route but I like how they resolve that storyline without getting rid of Quinn. Your guys’ debate at the end was so damn funny 😆 I believe that Quinn knew Dexter killed Lindy, and he’s able to let it go for a number of reasons 1. Dexter did him a solid by clearing the blood on his shoe that most certainly would have sent him away for life, 2. He’s realized how important Deb has become to him and he knows he’d jeopardize his relationship with her again if he were to keep investigating Dexter. We already saw him backing off investigating Dexter when Deb & he became more serious earlier in the season, 3. He’s always been a bit of a dirty cop who has walked a fine line. 4. Lastly, he has good survival instincts and knows when to back off.

MO

"as per usual" come on man what are you talking about. They are both clueless half of the time
