HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

The clearing where Negan was after throwing up the water is the same clearing Glenn and Abraham died, he went back to revisit where it all started with Rick and co

Ironically they liked s7 and 8 more. They seem like they hate this season 🤣. But yea i agree they should give it a chance the storyline is awesome.

I think it's because they're a big fan of Negan, so it made season 7/8 more watchable, and obviously we had Rick, but I think most people would easily put season 9 above those two seasons - myself included! Tbh, the second half of this season is great, so hopefully they'll warm to it.

I'd honestly go one step further and say the best threat period, but each to their own! The governor is very iconic.

Judging the storyline of the skins before it’s even kicked off lol. It’s like judging the saviours one based on their first appearance where they got rpg’d. No main antagonist yet, motives etc

Yeah loooool. I mean, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because they're reactors and it's their job to discuss their initial thoughts and feelings after each episode, so obviously they need to talk about how they feel in this very moment.....but wow I hope they start enjoying it soon haha. This is like my favourite storyline in the show.

Yeah to each their own but I think this season is MILES better than pretty much everything between 7x01 and now.. I think maybe they're just disappointed that it wasn't actually evolving walkers.

Personally I hated the idea of them being "evolved walkers". This isn't Resident Evil, the dead may be alive but the show is still grounded in a sense...Keeping it simple is the best formula

I think Pudgey is genuinely enjoying it, but Spartan is distrustful now of the writing. I don't blame him. Yeah they did enjoy the past 2 seasons more than I expected, but there was still some awful writing. Add on to that Rick and others nowhere to be found after this 6 year timeskip. I get it.

We need someone to tell them about the actors and what happened behind the scenes so that they understand why the season is getting rid of so many characters. I can tell the lack of knowledge is ruining the experience for them. Sad they’re not into the new storyline, hopefully they get more interested.

Yeah I don't understand the reasoning behind not telling them. I'm not saying that knowing would solve all their issues with the season, but the not knowing is obviously making the experience worse. I hope the mods will let them know so they can just focus on what the show is doing right now instead of constantly wondering when it will connect back with Rick, Maggie, etc...

I love y'all - but you're not keeping an open mind when it comes to this new season and I feel like if y'all stop focusing on things you're not seeing and start to just appreciate what's being presented on screen, you'll take to it well. Some things to know: 1. Andrew Lincoln left the show because he wanted to go back to the UK and be with his family. It's why episode 9x5 was done as beautifully it was. Besides for some flashbacks, you will not see Rick again anytime soon. 2. Lennie James left the show to become the series lead on Fear the Walking Dead. You will not see Morgan again at all on the main series. 3. Lauren Cohan temporarily left the show to be a lead in her own show, Whiskey Cavalier. She will be back, but for the time being, you will not see Maggie. Bonus fact: Tom Payne asked to leave the show because he didn't like how much Jesus differed from his comicbook counterpart. He also got a lead in his own show, Prodigal Son. That is why Jesus was killed off. All that being said, this is a time to accept the characters on the screen and the stories being told. You will get answers to a lot of the questions you have as well. Maybe not immediately, but they will come. In the meantime, there are new stories and new characters which make for great television and this current arc is top-tier - if you give it a chance and stop focusing so much on who/what you don't see.

I really like this episode. The set up of a new threat, which when you think about it is pretty scary as now the walkers are a threat again as they may be humans in disguise! Then we get Negan out in the world, interacting with Judith and ending up on his knees in the same clearing he killed Glenn and Abraham. Plus, we get Daryl having more of a role than he's had in ages.

To each their own, but I'm also bummed that Spartan & Pudgey don't like Season 9 at this point. I started to wonder if I over-emphasized my love for Season 9 or what. But I guess -- as with Shane -- they love Negan and Season 9 only uses him in doses. And , it was wise to limit Negan since we already had 2 full seasons of him. Pacing really makes a difference for Seasons 7 & 8, so it helps that they watched 2x a week. But, gosh, the godawful dialogue and contrivances in those seasons are pretty unforgiveable, imo. The plot-first, character second narratives from 7 & 8 felt like an about-face on what TWD is all about: a character drama in the apocalypse.
